I tried testing the UNIUYO's surcharge portal to see if I can snake my way out of the whole nonsense without paying. After entering the required parameters(Matric. no., payment type, and a string of random digits), the outcome was an alert box with a useless message that doesn't make sense or correspond to the error above.

Message:
"Sorry, the Amount Paid is not the same as expected payment"
Omo, I burst laugh.

The dude who designed that TPS portal deserve an award, a crazy one grin grin grin grin grin

Politics / Boko Haram: We Won’t Send Drones To Nigeria, Says US by dabrake(m): 10:15pm On Dec 05, 2013
The United States says it has no plans to send drones and troops to Nigeria because of the designation of Boko Haram as a Foreign Terrorist Organisation.
It also explains that Nigerians coming into the U.S for legitimate purposes will not suffer discrimination.
The Head of the US Africa Command, General David Rodriguez, and the Assistant Secretary of State for Africa, Ms. Linda Thomas-Greenfield, disclosed these at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday.
Also at the briefing were the Special Assistant to President Barrack Obama and Director, African Affairs, Grant Harris; Deputy Assistant Secretary of DefenCe for African Affairs, Amanda Dory; Assistant Administrator for Africa, Earl Gast, and the US Ambassador to Nigeria, James Entwistle.
The delegation is in the country for bilateral talks with the Nigerian government as a follow-up to the September meeting between President Barack Obama and President Goodluck Jonathan.
The meeting focused on partnership, diplomacy, development and defence ties with Nigeria, especially the security challenges confronting Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
Thomas-Greenfield said the delegation also had meetings on how to explore the ways to improve the level and intensity of engagement with the Nigerian government and people.
She expressed regret and condolences on the attacks on private residence, air force base and a police station by Boko Haram on Monday in Maiduguri.

dotcom_na_me_na_me:

Giroud Flop of the Match? I guess some people didn't watch the game

His contributions:

1. his run led to Ramsey's 1st goal ... took a defender with him
2. countless number of clearances from goal
3. chances created for the team passes, runs, touches, knock offs...

As for his chance that was just a poor decision from his part, he should be listening for the whistle and not turning into a 2nd linesman. Probably his worst decision in an Arsenal shirt but i am so proud and supportive of him. I hope he continues his work rate and passion for the club.

He is one of the main reason's Arsenal are doing so well in the league. He is not just a striker but he turns midfielders into strikers. His movements has lead to Ramsey, Wilshere, Cazorla, Ozil.... all getting chances on goal.

Be happy fans for the win and support your players even if they make a mistake.
But I am beginning to see Giroud as a false nine.
Arsenal till the devil repents. It makes me happy when haters lock up when we score while they cheer others unlike last season and the season before. It could only mean one thing - We are back for the title.

We were writing a CA, I was almost through, noticed she hasn't penned down anything, (un)fortunately, I hadn't written my name on my answer booklet. I wrote he name on my booklet immediately, rushed it up so I could tear another sheet of paper to write mine. Before I could do that, time had elapsed. 30 marks just went like that. To make it worse, she scored 23.

Education / ASUU Dismisses Fg’s Threat To Sack Lecturers by dabrake(m): 11:52pm On Nov 28, 2013
The Academic Staff Union of Universities has said the Federal Government’s December 4 ultimatum issued to universities teachers to return to the classrooms is a clear indication that the government is not committed to implementing any of the resolutions it reached with the union.
While reacting to the threat of the Federal Government to sack the lecturers if they fail to call off their five-month strike by Wednesday nest week, ASUU National Treasurer, Dr. Ademola Aremu, said the union was shocked that the government could have such plan when there was a shortfall of 60,000 lecturers in Nigerian universities, owing to the government’s failure to employ enough teachers.

He added that the threat would not hinder the union’s determination to ensure that Nigerian universities were well funded.
He said, “It is a pity if the Federal Government is not willing to perfect the resolutions reached with the union. This is why we find it difficult to trust our leaders by their words. How can someone be threatening to sack lecturers when universities are already short-staffed by almost 60,000? We are not in a military era. The military tried it and failed. This one will fail again. They can re-open the schools. ASUU did not shut the universities; it was the school management that ordered the students to go back home.”
ASUU added that the FG was wasting the time of Nigerians and youths in the country by failing to perfect the resolutions so that classes could resume in the schools.
Making reference to the failure of the government to honour the agreements it entered with resident doctors and health workers after they suspended their strikes, the union said it had reasons to be wary of the government, adding that the threat was an insult to the sensibilities of Nigerians who were waiting for the government for a positive reaction.
“With the latest action, the government has shown that it is not committed to all it has been saying. We are saying that since we agreed at the meeting that the sum of N200bn is for 2012 and 2013 revitalisation, the government should deposit same in the Central Bank of Nigerian. We are already in November and December is around the corner. If they don’t do that now, when do they want to do it?” Aremu said.

onimcee1: Will the lecturers be forced to teach? Even if the lecturers resume, will the pro-chancellors pay them their four months salary?
Why should they be paid? Did they work that they should be paid? FG should rather deduct 2 months salary from theirpackage for the months they didn't do anything.
