Hi Ujsizzle,, thanks so much for this great piece of advice. I have owned a blog for about 3 months now, and I really need this piece. Please help me review my blog www.chynaduru..com. I want to know on the areas to improve on to make it reader friendly. Thanks so much. And nice job on your blog! |
This piece was written by Fr. Mark-Donald Ude. I found it really interesting, and I thought to share with you. Enjoy: I sincerely do have a 'soft spot' for Buhari. From his demeanor, I have the impression that he is disciplined, exercises a great deal of self-control towards material things, has the strong will required to lead a strange country like Nigeria, has the will to fight corruption and is probably much less corrupt and less criminal-minded than most Nigerians. But, regarding his presidency, some of my misgivings (and I guess I’m being pretty genuine and original here) are as follows: 1) He is associated with Tinubu. Tinubu has invested so much in this enterprise called APC, and will definitely be a big factor in GMB’s government. For all his will power and personal discipline, GMB cannot possibly sideline such powerful stakeholders and kingmakers. We don’t need to be reminded of who Tinubu is. 2) From their body language, activities and utterances, APC, as a party, is suspect. They seem to be desperate. They are composed of the same old thieves who merely created a new system when they became irrelevant in the old. I have neither seen a political ‘born again’ experience nor have I seen a clear-cut agenda suggesting they are a better alternative to PDP. So far, their integrity, sincerity, patriotism and political good will is yet to be proven, and they seem to be just as evil and confused as the ruling party. So, even if Buhari were to be good as a person, how would he perform when he is surrounded by these guys? Put simply, he is a product of a highly suspect party 3)While I do not find his religious affiliations a problem (and may, for personal reasons, even count it a plus for him), he is yet to demonstrate that he does not actually sympathize with religious violence. Some of his well-documented utterances I revisited recently give me enough reasons to be worried (and he really has to show he has distanced himself from such earlier views or, better still, disown them publicly). 4) From his military antecedents, he seems to be very vindictive and might go to extremes in punishing ‘enemies’. (Now, I don’t have problems with punishing corrupt people so long as they are enemies of the state, and not his personal ‘enemies’]. 5) My issue with ‘tough guys’ like him is that they always have a soft spot for a very tiny group of friends - call it ''selective justice'' if you like. If he makes corruption impossible for the rest of the country but allows Tinubu and co to loot, Nigeria would soon become an empire of the few. Nigeria probably has the highest middle class in Africa because more people have access to corruption money. Fighting corruption only makes sense when everyone is affected. When you fight all and leave a few, you are only making the few super-rich and powerful. Remember Abacha; remember some African and Arab nations where literally everything belongs or used to belong to the ruling family plus their narrow circle of friends. 6) Finally, Buhari is a product of Hausa-Fulani nationalism. This is not bad in itself, but there is a supremacist and ‘retaliatory’ slant to it. Buhari is popular with his people, not necessary because he is a good and incorruptible Nigerian, but because he is “our son”. Having followed Nigerian politics for a long time, I can say Nigerians do not have what it takes to resist the “our son”-politics……..etc etc [I have a few other misgivings, but these are the most pressing. I would have loved to publish this at the LEADER newspaper, but I just don’t wanna sway public opinion at this dying minute. The conscience of each voter is sacred to me]…. http://chynaduru..com/ |
Back in 1998, when Dora Akunyili was the Zonal Secretary (South-east) of the Petroleum (Special) Trust Fund, she had travelled to the United States to get a cancer treatment surgery. Gen. Buhari who was then as the PTF Chairman approved £17,100 for her medical treatment. Pictured above is the 1999 letter from late Dora to Gen Buhari, thanking him for his approval and also letting him know that she was returning £12,000 of the £17,100 as doctors decided surgery was not needed. On Akunyili's letter returning money, GMB wrote: "See that there are still Nigerians with personal integrity. Please take action in line with PTF financial regulations" http://chynaduru..com Photo credit: Tolu Ogunlesi

Usually, when a relationship is over, that’s when you look back objectively and face reality. But most times, we can know these things before the relationship even starts. I culled this from Huffington Post, and I think it’s spot on! It’s a list of 10 men who will NOT marry you (and who, in my opinion, you we should not want to marry anyway). It was written by Samantha Daniels, a professional match maker and relationship expert. 1. Mr. “Still Hung Up On His Ex”: We have all been out with this guy. He says he is over his ex, yet at every turn, he talks about her and compares you to her. Please. He is not over her and until he is over her, he is not marrying you. 2. Mr. “I Am Not Ready For A Serious Relationship Right Now”: This is the guy who dates a lot and then when he gets too close or decides he isn’t interested in you, he uses the excuse that he’s not ready. The question about this guy is this: Is he really not ready, or is that just a convenient excuse to dump you and avoid the commitment? 3. Mr. “Bigger Better Deal”: You know this guy. He is the one who likes you a lot but is always wondering if there is a better version of you out there, somewhere in the universe. Honestly, do you need to be with the guy who is never going to think that you are good enough to marry? continue http://chynaduru..com/2014/12/10-types-of-men-who-wont-marry-you.html |
1. She encourages you to pursue your goals, but she doesn’t micromanage. She trusts you to make the right decisions in your own life. She’s the cheerleader, not the coach. 2. She doesn’t try to make you jealous. She’s secure in her worth, and your ability to recognize how valuable she is. She doesn’t need to play games to “trick” you into seeing her her for what she is. 3. She doesn’t have a princess complex. She demands that you treat her with respect — but because she is a person you love, not because she is a woman and therefore magically entitled to something. Just as she would expect you to treat your friends and family with respect, she knows you wouldn’t treat her any other way. A high-quality woman wouldn’t be with a man who was disrespectful to the people he is close to in life. 4. She has a part of her life that doesn’t involve you. Friends, hobbies, career — whatever. She’s confident and independent enough to not need your involvement in everything she does. 5. You wouldn’t think twice about inviting her into different parts of your life: a barbecue with your college friends, a dinner with your parents, a fancy work party — she knows how to handle herself in different settings. She’s mature enough to make a good impression with your colleagues and wise enough to know letting loose with your friends and having fun doesn’t mean she’s immature. 6. She takes care of herself. This doesn’t mean she is perfect, it means she is always improving. You don’t have to tell her she needs to solve a problem in her life. She’s self-aware and sees what issues she has and is self-motivated enough to constantly be working to improve them. She needs a partner, not a dad. 7. When she is in a situation where she doesn’t know people, she introduces herself confidently. She doesn’t cling meekly to your side waiting for you to facilitate every social interaction. 8. A reasonable, non-hyper-conservative employer could look at her social media presence and hire her. 9. She isn’t shy about sex. If she doesn’t want to do something, she can articulate why instead of just saying “ew”. Your sex life with her isn’t a shady secret she feels uncomfortable talking about, it’s adult and healthy and you both work to keep the flame alive. 10. She has opinions more than “idk” and she can talk calmly and non-hyperbolically about them. If she disagrees with you, you can have a conversation about it without anyone raising their voice. 11. She would never joke with her friends or family (or worse, your friends or family) about how men are “stupid” or childish, or whatever “happy wife happy life” mantra you’ve heard women use to put down the partners they love. 12. She knows what she wants in life. She doesn’t change her values or goals to tailor fit the guy she is with. 13. You feel lucky to be dating her because you know she would never date anyone just to date them. She isn’t afraid to be single and she is self-sufficient. You know she is dating you because she’s attracted to you and she thinks that you will help each other grow to be even higher quality, together http://chynaduru..com/ |
1. You know where you stand. You are his girlfriend or you are a girl he’s dating but either way he’s not scared to define it. He’s not afraid that a girl will cry and run away if she doesn’t hear what she wants to, he wants a mature woman because he is a mature man. 2. You don’t have to prod him to become a real adult. He’s self motivated to improve on his own. If there’s an area of his life that needs improvement, he’s working on it long before you notice it. 3. Texting with him is peaceful. Sometimes you have conversations. Sometimes you make plans. But it’s never a power struggle of who initiates and who texts lasts. It’s not fishing for compliments or security. It’s simply a short form of communication. 4. He calls his mom. You don’t need to tell him to do this and he does it to keep in touch, not because he needs her stamp of approval on all his choices. 5. He has interests. Like actual interests. Not beer darts or meeting women. He reads the newspaper or books, and when you ask him his opinion on something, he has an answer. 6. When you spend the night at his place, it doesn’t feel like camping. His sheets are (reasonably) clean, there’s (gasp) toilet paper and (double gasp) fresh towels in the bathroom, and there’s something in the fridge other than beer. 7. He doesn’t disappear for days or a week at a time. He knows that if he needs space or some time to clear his head when he’s stressed out all he needs to do is say that. He’s strong enough to be upfront rather than running away. 8. He never says “just trust me” as an attempt to end a disagreement. He knows that if you’re expressing a concern, the solution isn’t to just tell you not to have it. He isn’t manipulative. 9. He doesn’t get jealous. Sure, it doesn’t make him happy when another guy hits on you while he’s checking your coats, but he doesn’t blow up about it. He’s secure in your admiration. 10. He doesn’t treat you like a child. If he disagrees with you he can tell you that. He assumes you want to engage with him rather than assuming you are a piece of glass that will shatter at the slightest disturbance. 11. He encourages you to grow and try new activities. He isn’t afraid he will be left in the dust and he genuinely wants the best for you. 12. You never have this conversation: “Where do you want to go?” “Uh, I don’t know, where do you want to go?” 13. You don’t have to play a guessing game when he’s upset about something. He tells you. Directly. With words. And you have a conversation and figure out a solution http://chynaduru..com/ |
Found this very interesting article on cheaters and decided to share, and hear feedbacks from you guys supporting or countering the claims. Read below: Let’s face it, no one on Earth actually wants to date a cheater but oftentimes we don’t see the signs that our beloved boyfriend or girlfriend is secretly a shady little liar who’s about to ruin your life. Forget him answering his second cell phone in the closet every night or her being less affectionate with you and drooling over your best friend when he walks in the room. What you really need to be asking yourself is: Is your girlfriend blonde? Is your guy addicted to Twitter? Is he turning 29? Through journal studies and surveys of users on cheating websites, science seems to now know exactly what makes someone more likely to be unfaithful — and it’s not looking so good for a lot of people. But does someone’s height, age or first name really make them any more (or less) likely to stray — or are these things strange coincidences? Well, only those who have dated these 10 people may know the truth about their philandering tendencies. And, until you do the all dating legwork, we’re just going to give you the cold, hard facts and let you make an educated decision yourself on these people who are more likely to cheat on you. 1. People Whose Age Ends In ‘9’. Going on a date with guy who’s about to turn 29? May want to wait a year or so, says science! According to a new study published in Proceedings of the Natural Academy of Sciences, people turning an age that ends in ‘9’ are more likely to cheat on their partners. Why? People turning 29, 39, 49, etc. tend to have major self-and make life-altering choices as they approach a new decade. In fact, of the 8 million men on extramarital affair dating website, Ashley Madison, more than 950,000 men were ages 29, 39, 49, or 59. 2. Tall guys. Last week, a study from extra-marital dating site, IllicitEncounters.com, told us that dudes over 5’10” are twice as likely to cheat on their partner. Knew they were up to no good up there. 3. Rock N’ Roll Fans. Another survey from IllicitEncounter.com found that 41 percent of cheaters prefer rock music to all other genres. Your best bet for a loyal partner? Rap lovers. 4. Guys Who Work In IT. Don’t be fooled by their soft hoodies, hipster glasses and patience when it comes to restoring your iPhone (you really should start backing up!) — these guys are sneaky, cheating hubbies, according to the same AshleyMadison survey that revealed unfaithful wives are often teachers. 5. The French. What can you expect in a relationship with the best lovers in the world? Wine, cheese and an affair, says science. According to LELO, a luxury intimacy gadget brand who surveyed the globe about bedroom habits, 75 percent of the French admit to cheating. 6. Shopaholics. AshleyMadison also revealed that their typical, adulterous female user is a serious shopper. More than a third of the women surveyed said they spend more on their appearance since they started cheating. And, 27 percent have a secret credit card to fund their purchases. The preferred brand of the unfaithful? Banana Republic. 7. Female Teachers. What professions are more likely to stray? According to a AshleyMadison.com survey of its users, the typical cheating wife is likely to be a teacher. Someone’s gotta teach these ladies a lesson — just don’t call tech support… 8. Twitter Users. Shocker: social media can be harmful your romantic relationship! While this isn’t too surprising, research from the University of Missouri shows those who tweet cheat. The more often a person uses Twitter, the more often they have relationship conflicts, like affairs. 9. Guys Named Wayne. An easy giveaway he’s sleeping with someone else? His name. A study of 2,000 women found Wayne ranked as the least trustworthy name in love. As for Lil Wayne, his real name is Dwayne, so we’re not sure where that stands on the adultery scale. Does the D negate anything? lol For now, try not to date Lil Wayne. We’ll update you when science gets back to us. 10. Blonde Women. Do blondes have more fun? If you consider cheating a grand ole time, then you betcha. A CheaterVille.com survey found that 42 percent of cheating women have blonde hair. Better girlfriend material, guys? Only 11 percent of women with black hair are cheaters. If you happen to be dating a tall, 29 year old guy, who is an IT expert, loves twitter and rock and roll, baby girl, you're O.Y.O...lool. Or if you are dating a female teacher, who loves blonde weaves, twitter, and shopping? Hmmmmmm. http://chynaduru..com/ |
A study into the Darwin Awards, the award body who document people who have improved the human gene pool by removing themselves from it in a stupid manner, has concluded that men make up 90 per cent of the ‘winners’. In this case, the ‘winners’ are always corpses. The tongue-in-cheek research conducted by Newcastle University suggested MIT, or ‘male idiot theory’ (the theory that ‘men are idiots, and idiots do stupid things’) was to blame for the unequal findings. In the 332 cases analysed since 1995, 282 involved men dying easily avoidable deaths, whereas only 36 women died in doing stupid things (14 cases involved both men and women and were therefore discounted). However, could this just be because men have a more adventurous spirit? Writing in the Christmas edition of the British medical journal the researchers said men often succumb to unfortunate ends in pursuit of ‘bragging rights’. One of the most famous recipients of the award was a man who tried to use a chainsaw and a grenade to make his own fireworks – he would have definitely have had some ‘bragging rights’ had he survived. http://chynaduru..com/ |
It is something women have long suspected - when it comes to the art of conversation, females definitely are the stronger sex. Men have low attention spans, except when talking to their friends either about sport or women, and more than half of guys describe themselves as bad listeners, according to a new study. The research of 2,000 men found they switch off after just six minutes of chatting with their other half, but regularly pay attention for an entire 15 minutes when discussing football or their sex lives with mates. But men are not the only ones whose partners have cause for complaint. The report also revealed women listen longer and harder when in conversation with friends than they do with their men. The research found sport was the most popular topic for more than half the men studied, followed by chats on films and sex. Women's favourite topic of conversation with friends was relationships - with 55 per cent of those studied naming it as their go-to theme. Results also proved the worst time to expect a man's attention is while they are watching sport, channel flicking or playing an app. And the average man has four occasions each week where he isn't listening to a partner when he should be. Men are most likely to switch off from a conversation if the topic is someone they don't know, followed by chat about workmates, celebrities or clothes. And chaps are similarly unenthused when talk turns to things their partner has seen on Facebook, horoscopes or what they ate for lunch that day. A sneaky 55 per cent of women say they regularly test their partner to double check he's listening. More than a third said the most common sign their partner isn't listening is when they take far too long to respond to a question, followed by a flurry of blank or glazed expressions. More than a quarter said it's noticeable when they can't take their eyes off their phone, tablet or the TV. More than a fifth of men admit they often browse the web or watch sport while on the phone to their partner. A spokeswoman for Ladbrokes, which carried out the research, said: 'It's natural that the two genders will find different things interesting and certain topics appeal more than others. 'Men are obsessed with sport, gadgets and technology, and often these combine when trying to check scores, place bets or get the latest updates. 'Of course, this regularly means they aren't always their most responsive. 'As with anything, getting that balance between showing effort towards a partner and allowing time for following your passions is important.' Both sexes admitted they were more likely to lie or hold back information from their partner than from their best friend. http://chynaduru..com/ |
Relationships between mothers and stepmothers have often been marked with jealousy, bitterness, and resentment. But one San Antonio mom decided to break the status quo by choosing to 'love and respect' the stepmother of her 14-year-old daughter. In a post that quickly went viral on her blog, 'Women With Worth,' Candice Curry, 39, wrote 'An Open Letter to My Daughter’s Stepmom.' The post isn't what one would expect from a divorcee, harsh words and criticisms toward the woman who 'stole her man.' Instead the mother-of-five wrote of her love and thankfulness for 29-year-old Ashley Parish, her ex-husband's wife. Read the letter below: To My Daughter’s Stepmom I never wanted you here. You simply were never part of the plan. Growing up and dreaming of my family I never included you. I didn’t want help from another woman to raise my child. The plan was for my family to include me, daddy and our children, not you. I doubt you ever wanted me in your life. I doubt you planned to mother a child that you didn’t give birth to. I can bet that your plan for your family included you, daddy and your children together, not me or my daughter. I can almost bet that when you dreamed of becoming a mother it would be the day you gave birth and not the day you married your husband. I’m pretty sure you never planned on me being here. But God has plans that far exceed our own and when my little family dissolved to form two families I knew you would be coming. In my mind you would be a terrible beast and my daughter would not want you to mother her at all, ever! I was hoping that you would be semi unattractive and prayed my daughter wouldn’t look up to you. Her daddy would know that he was settling for second best. Evil swirled in me because I never wanted to face the fact that another woman would mother my child in my absence. Then you arrived. When I first met you I’ll admit you weren’t what I had in mind and a twinge of jealousy shot through my body. You were supposed to be hideous, remember? But you weren’t, you were stunningly beautiful. You were supposed to be a mean old hag, remember? But you weren’t, you were a young, sweet woman. My plans were foiled. I realized by the look on your face that meeting me was just as hard as it was for me to meet you. My heart immediately softened. Dang your kind smile! I was planing on really hating you. Why are your ruining my plan?! I wanted to resent you but you made it impossible and I quickly grew thankful for you. You’ve accepted our daughter from the very start and have unconditionally loved both her and her daddy, that’s a true gift to all of us. You’ve included our daughter in everything you do and make her feel loved and accepted. You put her relationship with her daddy above yours and only a brave and courageous woman knows how to do that with such grace. I knew when her daddy and I decided to divorce and live in separate homes there would be times when she would need me, her mommy, and I wouldn’t be there. I’m so thankful that you are there in my absence. I’m grateful that you have mercy on her teen years and never reject her. She needs a mommy at your house and you’ve done an amazing job being that for her. You’ve respected my position as mom from the very start. I appreciate that you always check with me when you question if you are making the right decision with her. I know our situation is rare. It’s not often that a mom and stepmom text each other to remind each other that they love and respect each other. You are a gift. Because of you and your courage to mother our daughter the way that you do, she will be a better woman. She will grow up with more love than I could have ever imagined. It wasn’t her choice to have divorced parents and even though I wouldn’t wish that on any child I am so thankful that she now has 4 parents who love and respect her and each other. She’s compassionate because of it and understands that a failure in one area can turn into a blessing in another. I don’t see you as a fill in for when I’m not there. You are her mother when she’s with you and when she’s with me. She’s excited to call you and tell you her stories when she’s at my house and that makes my heart want to jump from my chest with joy. I fill with pride when you wrap your arms around me and squeeze for a genuine and loving hug each time we see each other. I am extremely aware of what it looks like when a mother cannot emotionally accept her childs stepmother in their life. Gratefulness pours heavily from me that we are able to rise above anything like that and do what is truly right for ourdaughter. Thank you for being mature enough and respectful enough to co-parent with me. I promise to always respect your input for our daughter. I promise to never lessen the position you hold in her life or make you feel like you are not her mother. I promise to raise her to be grateful to have two strong and brave women in her life that have the courage to mother her together. Even though our situation is peaceful I pray that she is never in it, but if she ever finds herself here I promise to set an example for her of what co-parenting should look like. Precious woman, you are a rare and beautiful gem. God bless you and I love you. http://chynaduru..com/ |
Instagram was a baby network following in the wakes of Facebook and Twitter, but now, they have come into their own. The picture-sharing network now has 300million followers compared with Twitter's 284 million. Facebook is still the giant in the group with over 1Billion users. The exponential growth of Instagram can be tied to them being bought by Facebook in 2012 when Mark Zuckerberg decided the two networks will work best together. His vision has turned out to be true as both continue to grow and overtake their competitors. Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom has given a speech to mark the new milestone in user base. He said; We’re proud to announce that there are now more than 300 million Instagrammers.' 'Over the past four years, what began as two friends with a dream has grown into a global community that shares more than 70 million photos and videos each day. In fact many celebrities use Instagram more than any other platform to share pictures and news about their lives. Anyone remember the recent feud between Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran? So far though, Kim Kardashian's and Kanye West's wedding picture was the most popular post on the network, with almost 2 million likes. People have also fallen in love and gotten married after seeing their pictures on Instagram. Congrats to the makers. |
A group of HIV-positive women in Kenya has taken legal action against the government, accusing it of arranging for them to be forcibly sterilised. The five women are demanding compensation from the government and the non-governmental organisations they say carried out the sterilisations. Activists protested in the capital, Nairobi, to call for the practice to be banned, claiming it was widespread. The government has not yet commented on their allegations. One of the women, Teresia Otieno, told the BBC that she was sterilised without her consent. "I went in for an operation to give birth to my first child. By the time I was leaving the operation the doctor told me I had been sterilised," Ms Otieno said. The women are demanding financial compensation The women marched from Nairobi's High Court to Uhuru Park with T-shirts bearing the words: "Enforced and coerced sterilization of women living with HIV". Lawyer Allan Machele said the reproductive rights of the women had been breached, along with their right to dignity. "When you sterilise women who are living with HIV, you have violated their rights," he added. In 2012, a court in Namibia ruled that three HIV-positive women had been sterilised without their consent. The case had been brought by three women who opted to have Caesarean deliveries to reduce the risk of passing the Aids virus to their babies. Health officials had denied that the women had been forcibly sterilised.BBC Read more http://chynaduru..com/ |
Women who suffer from period pains and feel under the weather each month should get paid leave, a leading doctor has suggested. Gedis Grudzinskas, professor of obstetrics and gynaecology, believes 'menstrual leave' would boost women's motivation and productivity when they are in the workplace. He even goes as far as to question if a woman were to accidentally become pregnant, should her employer pay for the termination - although concedes that 'society is unlikely to be ready for that'. Mr Grudzinskas, formerly of St Bartholomew's Hospital in London - and who now practices in Harley Street - is a leading international figure in the field of Reproductive Medicine, Surgery and Obstetrics. Explaining his reasoning, he told MailOnline: 'Some women feel really grotty when menstruating. Coming into work is a struggle and they feel lousy. 'When you feel like that, it's harder to take pride in your work or perform as well. This is about employers being sensible and aware.' Like maternity leave, he proposes the menstrual leave should not interfere with career progression or structure. 'It would be one to three days each month, separate to sick leave entitlement – it is not sickness, after all.' Menstrual leave is already recognised in some countries in Asia, such as Japan and Indonesia. The concept is believed to have started in Japan in the early 20th century. Writing in the journal Health Care for Women International, Alice J. Dan, of the University of Illinois, explains that menstruation leave first emerged as an issue in the 1920s and 1930s when employed women were mostly young, and working conditions for them were difficult. 'The lack of adequate sanitary facilities and materials made management of menstruation especially difficult for factory and transportation workers,' she said. As a result, it was bus conductors and textile workers who were among the first workers to request menstruation leave. Since the majority of women workers were under 21 and unmarried, menstruation leave had a broader appeal than maternity leave,' she adds. In Japan, legislation passed in 1947 permitted leave for any woman who 'suffered heavily' with menstruation or the work was 'injurious to her body during menstruation'. However it does not specify the number of days or whether the leave is to be paid. There was also a belief that taking leave while menstruating prevented problems during pregnancy and childbirth, such as miscarriage and premature labour. However the number of women taking up menstrual leave over the years declined. Ms Dan said reasons for this include the average age of women workers increasing - with older women having less need for the leave - and ambitious, career-minded women becoming increasingly concerned that taking it could harm their career prospects. Taiwan's current menstrual leave legislation guarantees female workers three days of menstrual leave a year, in addition to the 30 days of half-paid sick leave allotted to all workers. Indonesian women are entitled to take two days a month of menstrual leave, though many companies simply ignore the law, and others have even been accused of forcing women to 'prove' their need for time off, some reports have claimed. The concept is also being discussed in Canada. However when the issue was debated last year in the Russian Parliament, it caused uproar and was thrown out. Women's rights activists in the country reacted with anger to proposals by Mikhail Degtyaryov, a member of the nationalist LDPR party, who proposed the draft law to increase the protection of women at the workplace. COUNTRIES WHERE WOMEN ARE ALREADY ENTITLED TO THE LEAVE In Japan, legislation passed in 1947 permitted leave for any woman who 'suffered heavily' with menstruation or the work was 'injurious to her body during menstruation'. 'During that period, most women experience psychological and physiological discomfort,' said Mr Degtyaryov, 32, who is married with two sons. 'The pain for the fair sex is often so intense that it is necessary to call an ambulance.' But human rights campaigners dismissed Mr Degtyaryov's idea as sexist. The matter reared its head recently at the Festival of Ideas in Cambridge. Mr Grudzinskas, who was on the panel, said: 'We heard from one man in the audience that women in a particular work-place in Indonesia were all absent on the same days. 'Was this menstrual synchrony - where the women experience their menstrual cycle at the same time? 'No one knows, but the wife of the employer stumbled upon these ladies shopping together in the local mall. 'He devised a plan where women were offered a bonus payment if they worked while menstruating - effectively a menstrual bonus. 'This resulted in full attendance in this workplace - I think it's brilliant - this boss is a smart cookie.' Mr Grudzinskas told MailOnline: 'The issue goes back 100 years when sanitary and hygiene facilities were different, when opportunities for women to look after themselves while menstruating were simply not there. 'Today, the issue is about enlightenment - that is what interests me. 'Menstrual leave will make people feel more happy and comfortable in the workplace, which is a positive thing.' He cites further examples of 'enlightenment' as Google, Facebook and Apple proposing egg freezing for female employees who are worried about their biological clocks. OR COULD WOMEN BE PAID EXTRA FOR COMING TO WORK WHILE MENSTRUATING? The idea of menstrual leave matter reared its head recently at the Festival of Ideas in Cambridge. 'This resulted in full attendance in this workplace - I think it's brilliant - this boss is a smart cookie.' 'These employers are being sensible and looking after the wishes of modern women in the workplace,' he said. 'And what many people forget is - women make up half the workforce. If they feel supported, they will be a happy and productive workforce. Maternity leave is just part of the deal.' So how would menstrual leave work, exactly? Would a woman have to prove she was menstruating? 'I don't think women should be shy about it,' said Mr Grudzinskas. 'There should be no proof needed - employers should take it on good faith.' He added: 'It's not a case of policing, it's about taking it on face value. Over time, records will show is there is a pattern of cycles, and so on.' And what of the critics who argue some women would abuse the system? 'I see it as an indication of how employers can be sensible to women in the workplace – and keep them there,' he told MailOnline. 'I am not suggesting the UK advocates it - but we could work out how to do it. 'If you want to keep everyone happy in the workplace, don't do Big Brother stuff, like CCTV in the toilets, just be fair and respect people and use your judgement.' And what about men, who will question why women should get up to 36 days of paid leave a year? 'Because,' he said. 'Do you want a cup of tea when you get home in the evening? 'Do you want your wife to be in pain?' 'It's not men who have to get pregnant, go through IVF and childbirth. 'Men will just have to understand.' He also praises recent egg freezing initiatives proposed by Apple and Google for female staff. He said: 'Apple and Google have done nothing more than acknowledge that women can and should manage their reproductive health and well being as they see fit, whether it is the contraceptive pill, having a termination of pregnancy for social reasons or exploiting IVF technology. 'Google should be applauded for its initiative. 'Will we soon hear about employers offering to pay for termination of pregnancy if unwittingly conceived in the workplace? 'Or is this a step too far for the nerds of Silicon Valley?' He added that all the changes in women's fertility and reproduction that came in the second half of the 20th century brought about considerable change and also caused a great deal of comment. 'The launch of the contraceptive Pill in 1961 has been described as the most significant medical advance of the 20th century and it was followed by the Abortion Act of 1967,' he said. 'These changes were all hotly debated at the time of their introduction but they have made an enormous change to women's ability to follow a career. 'dailymail Read more http://chynaduru..com/ |
As countries in the Middle East and Europe struggle with a surge in refugees and the United States debates immigration reform, the oil-rich kingdom of Kuwait is pursuing an unusual solution to a similar problem. According to a Forbes Israel report, “to finance their operations, terrorist groups often end up operating as criminal organisations, by taking up activities such as drug trafficking, robberies and extortion, raising money through charities, donations and, in some cases, government agencies.” The publication’s report also contained the ten richest terrorist groups in the world, and Nigeria’s Boko Haram is number ten on the list. The annual revenue of the Islamic terrorist sect is put at $25 million (N4,307,500,000). The ranking puts ISIS at number one with an annual income of $2 billion. Hamas comes in at second place with $1 billion while Colombia’s FARC is ranked third with a $600 million yearly revenue. Hezbollah comes in at fourth place with $500 million, while Taliban is fifth with $400 million. The terrorist organizations ranked between 5-10 are Al-Qaeda ($150 million), Pakistani-based Lashkar e-Taiba ($100 million), Somalia’s Al-Shabaab ($100 million), Real IRA ($50 million), while Nigeria’s Boko Haram rounds up the list. http://chynaduru..com/ |
DALLAS -- Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas has reached an agreement with the family of Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan, who died in October at the medical facility, CBS Dallas reports. The agreement comes after allegations of wrong-doing, protocols not being followed, and claims that the hospital did not do enough to protect the patient. It has been just over one month since the 42-year-old man from Africa lost his fight with Ebola. Duncan's sister and nephew were present as the family's attorney announced a multi-faceted agreement, which included a financial settlement and a charitable contribution. "This has been a tragic loss for the children and the parents," said attorney Les Weisbrod. "We're here today to announce a settlement that will take care of all the children and parents." Weisbrod said the family's mission was to "raise awareness of preventable medical errors in the U.S." According to Weisbrod, there are approximately 400,000 preventable deaths in the U.S. each year. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but Weisbrod says the deal is better than what could have been won by the family had the two sides gone to trial. The hospital will also setup a charitable fund in memory of Duncan that will provide assistance to victims of Ebola in Africa. The Duncan family also has expressed interest in a book or movie to highlight Duncan's life and tragic demise. Duncan first arrived at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital on September 25, complaining of Ebola symptoms. But he was sent away after a triage nurse did not effectively communicate his travel history. Duncan returned to the hospital's emergency room two days later, this time showing more serious symptoms. It was only then that he was considered to be a possible Ebola patient. The hospital has already apologized to Duncan's family for the mistakes that were made, including the initial misdiagnosis. A mother has undergone surgery to remove part of her brain in a bid to stop crippling seizures which she claims are triggered by the sound of Neyo's voice..Zoe Fennessy, 26,says within seconds of hearing his voice, she has an epileptic seizure which make her freeze, vomit and unable to react to the world around her. The healthcare assistant has to wear earphones whenever she goes shopping just in case Neyo's tunes are played in stores.Surgeons removed part of her left frontal lobe in June in a bid to stop the affliction. But the surgery was not successful and doctors now fear she may have the condition forever. Miss Fennessy - who has been unable to work for six months because of her affliction told Mailonline 'I don't dislike Ne-Yo or his music, it just dislikes me unfortunately.I'll be walking around the supermarket doing my food shopping and I have to put my earphones in to listen to my own music just in case it comes on. 'It's the same with most shops. I have to walk in with my ear phones in at first just to make sure they don't have Ne-Yo on.If he ever releases a greatest hits album it's going to be a nightmare.Whenever I hear the first few beats of the song I have to drop whatever I am doing and run..'People might think it is funny - and I can laugh at it myself - but it has taken over my life. It's ruined my life.' It wasn't until she heard Ne-Yo's first big hit, 'Give Me Everything' featuring Pitbull - which topped the charts in May 2011 - that she had her first music-induced seizure. It took me a while to realise that they were being triggered by his songs. 'It wasn't until I'd heard it for about the 15th time that it finally twigged what was going on.' The song was really popular and I went to my consultant and I said "I know this sounds extremely bizarre, but every time I hear this song I have a seizure". He said it was fascinating and that he'd never heard anything like it.I stressed that while it might be fascinating, I was really struggling - the song was everywhere at the time.' In June this year, Miss Fennessy endured a six-hour long operation to remove a huge chunk of her left temporal lobe where doctors thought all her seizures may originate. But while the symptoms of her epilepsy have reduced, she still has a fit every time she hears Ne-Yo's voice. I have had to go up to DJs in places and say 'look can you not play Ne-Yo' and they just look at me like I'm an alien,'[Doctors] are saying it could possibly be something in the tone of his voice, something like that, but it doesn't happen when I hear Usher, or people like him who have a very similar sound. It is only him, only Ne-Yo.' 'Our holiday this year to Majorca was a nightmare. Honestly it was like being at a Ne-Yo concert - the song was everywhere.I had to stay in the hotel room for most of the holiday because it got so bad.' She has been clinically diagnosed with 'musicogenic seizures' which are triggered by the tone of Ne-Yo's voice. Read more...http://chynaduru..com/ |
Knowing the couple wanted to wed but had been too busy caring for their premature son for the last two months, the staff at Cook Children's helped the couple arrange a wedding ceremony at the hospital. Little fighter: J.J. Nelson is getting stronger each day. His parents put this teddy bear in next to him as a representation of J.J.'s twin brother, who they named Colt but who died in premature labour. (Daily Mail) Unlike what Kristi Warriner had envisioned her wedding day to be like, it was by far more beautiful than she had dreamed it would be. The Texas bride and mom tied the knot with her fiance, Justin Nelson, in the neonatal intensive care unit so their son, who was born 15 weeks early could be the ring bearer. According to The Star-Telegram, the couple had lost one of their twins when Kristi went into labour 15 weeks early at Fort Worth hospital on September 2. Their surviving son, J.J., was 'touch and go' for weeks, weighing less than two pounds at birth. Daily Mail reports that little J.J. who now weighs 6 pounds, 8 ounces, appears to be improving each day. Happily married: The couple, along with eight-year-old daughter Carissa and little J.J., celebrate after the ceremony, which was planned with the help of hospital staff. (Daily Mail) Knowing the couple wanted to wed but had been too busy caring for their premature son for the last two months, the staff at Cook Children's helped the couple arrange a wedding ceremony at the hospital. Local businesses donated the bride's wedding gown and flowers. One of family's friends lent the outfit for tiny ring-bearer J.J. to wear. Speaking to The Star-Telegram, the happy bride said, "It's not what you dream of as a little girl - it's even better. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding." The bride and groom named the son they lost Colt, and he was represented at the ceremony by a Dallas Cowboys teddy bear that they sat next to J.J. "We thank God every day for J.J. getting better and stronger," the bride said. "Our biggest mission with all this was to help others know they are not alone. I hope we've touched somebody's life and let them know there is hope after tragedy." The family and doctors at Cook Children's hope J.J. will be allowed home around Christmas. Blackberry CEO Siezes His Wife's Samsung Galaxy Phone One of the first things John Chen did after becoming chief executive of BlackBerry last year was confiscate his wife’s Samsung Galaxy. “There were a couple of parties we went to and, when my wife brought out the Samsung, everyone kind of looked at me funny,” he says. “So eventually I said she needed to use a BlackBerry. ‘No, I like my Samsung’, she said, and I told her she was embarrassing me.” Does she still use it in secret? “That, I wouldn’t know,” he quips. “There might be a lot of secrets I don’t know.” Initially, she found the new phone difficult to master, an experience that Mr Chen says is shared by many using a BlackBerry for the first time. “It is harder in the beginning, but once you get it, it’s actually quite powerful. It makes other devices look a little toyish.” He likens the experience to driving his friend’s Lamborghini. “There’s a special sequence but, once you know where all the things are, it blows your mind. Still, because of that, I would never buy a Lamborghini. We too need to make sure the learning curve is not so steep.” Read more http://chynaduru..com/ |

ROME — They had not planned on falling in love, but they did. They did not want to become the objects of malicious gossip, but they are. They had not imagined living a life of furtive affections and secret rendezvous, but that is what has happened since the woman and the priest defied a Roman Catholic Church taboo and became romantically involved. “Some people see me as a devil, something dirty,” said the woman, who, along with the priest she is involved with, agreed to discuss their situation, sitting for an interview at a hotel in a city far from his parish. They asked to remain anonymous, fearing further disapproval from their parents, who know, and the disdain of friends and parishioners, who already suspect that their friendship is more than platonic. “I risk losing everything if it were to come out into the open,” the priest said. Yet they agreed to speak, his partner said, “because suffering pushes you to do something, to try and change this injustice.”An online search using “in love with a priest” produces blog after blog about church-crossed lovers, in any number of languages. There are support groups on social media, including Facebook groups for women. One group of 26 women even petitioned Pope Francis to change the church’s requirement of celibacy for priests, and relieve their suffering. “It’s really hard to explain this relationship to someone who hasn’t gone through it,” said one of the women who signed the letter to the pope but did not want her name printed because she, too, is romantically involved with a priest. “We wanted to let the pope know that the suffering is widespread.” She again wrote to the pope in September just before the Synod of Bishops, a Vatican gathering of some 200 clerics convened to discuss issues faced by families in contemporary society. It was the most closely watched synod in decades, and some Vatican experts drew parallels with the synod convened by Pope Paul VI in 1971, where the celibacy requirement for priests was the hot-button issue. At that time, after heated discussion, the synod reaffirmed the obligation of celibacy, and there has been no official review of that position for 40 years. Those who were hoping the issue would be revisited during October’s synod were disappointed again. Yet a growing number of priest organizations in the United States, Austria, Ireland and elsewhere continue to press for change. Challengers to clerical celibacy point to the shortage of priests worldwide and to studies that show celibacy is a significant deterrent for young men wanting to enter the priesthood. The statistics collected by the Congregation for the Clergy do not specify the reasons priests “defect,” but critics of clerical celibacy suggest it is partly to blame. While no numbers are authoritative, Advent, a support group for priests who have left the ministry in Britain, estimates that about 10,000 men have left the priesthood to marry in the past 50 years in England and Wales alone. The shortage has had significant impact in parishes around the world, said Alex Walker, the leader of Advent, who left the priesthood to marry. “Bishops can keep praying for vocations, or look at what can be done about it,” he said. “If celibacy is causing a problem they’ll have to allow optional celibacy, and even recall those priests who have been dispensed.” Another group, Married Priests Now, estimates that there are 25,000 men in the United States who have left the priesthood to marry, and about 150,000 worldwide. That group was founded eight years ago by the charismatic former archbishop of Lusaka, Emmanuel Milingo, who grabbed headlines in 2001 when he was married in a group wedding presided over by the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, the leader of the Unification Church. In a letter sent to the pope in September 2013, Married Priests Now praised the “new wind blowing in the Church,” after Francis’ election that year, and noted that: “It would be nice if the new spirit of reconciliation would include the married priest.” Organizations of liberal Catholics have also been calling for a change to the celibacy rules, arguing that clerics routinely married in the early centuries of the church. “We know that St. Peter was married,” said the Rev. Thomas Reese, a senior analyst at The National Catholic Reporter. “All the apostles were married, so celibacy isn’t intrinsically connected to the priesthood.” The debate took a turn when Pope Benedict XVI decided in 2009 to create a mechanism for welcoming priests from the Anglican Communion to the Roman Catholic church, opening the door to clergy with families. “It proves that married priests can exist in the church, it doesn’t mean the world is going to end,” Mr. Walker said. Those hoping for a change of heart by the church were encouraged last May when Pope Francis told reporters that clerical celibacy was an issue open to discussion. “Celibacy is not a question of dogma, but rather a rule of life that I greatly appreciate, as I believe it is a gift for the Church,” the pope said during a return flight from the Middle East. “But, since it is not a dogma, the door is always open.” He expressed similar sentiments in a 2010 book, “On Heaven and Earth,” written three years before becoming pope, even as he expressed his personal support for celibacy. “Every time he endorses celibacy, he qualifies it with a ‘for now,’ or ‘for the moment,’ ” Father Reese said. “At one point he even writes of a hypothetical review of celibacy. These are all strong signals that he thinks that optional celibacy could happen.” While seeming open to a change in policy, the pope has also exhorted priests to take their celibacy seriously, and to leave the church if they can’t, in particular if they have fathered a child. But for many priests in serious relationships, leaving the priesthood is a tormented option. Some priests spoke of the demeaning procedures they must go through to “defect” from the ministry, made worse by unsupportive bishops who often try to get them to change their minds, and allow them to transfer to a different parish.“The idea is to recover the priest, in part to avoid scandal, in part because the clergy is getting older and a bit thin in the ranks,” said Ernesto Miragoli, a priest who married in 1986 and provides support for other priests pondering leaving the church. In conversations with church experts, priests and the women in relationships with them, many also pointed to financial uncertainties as a major deterrent to leaving the ministry. Some noted that a theology degree doesn’t have much market value in Italy’s depressed economy. And others said that in many cases priests who defected found little financial support from their families, Italy’s de facto welfare system. Francesco Brescia, a Naples-based former priest who provides support to defectors through Vocatio, an Italian association for married priests, said priests who want to leave for love frequently contacted him “because returning to civilian life isn’t easy.” “And if it’s hard finding work, it’s twice as hard for a priest who doesn’t have a trade or usable skills,” he said. The priest who agreed to discuss his relationship in the hotel interview conceded the same concern. “What would I do, unload fruit from a truck?” he asked. “There’s a crisis and then I am too used to being a priest. I like being a priest and I think I do it well.” In fact, he said he believed his relationship improved his ministry. “Since I am with her, I am a better priest, because I am calm, relaxed,” he said. “The only problem is having to sneak around.” http://chynaduru..com/ |
Iran reports having “no homosexuals” in their society, but that seems to be due to the fact that they are either forced out due to harsh discrimination, or coaxed into living their lives as the opposite gender in order to conform to male/female relationship norms. The results are unsurprisingly damaging in the long-run for gay citizens who have no real desire to become transgendered. Via BBCnews: It’s not official government policy to force gay men or women to undergo gender reassignment but the pressure can be intense. In the 1980’s the founder of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Khomeini, issued a fatwa allowing gender reassignment surgery – apparently after being moved by a meeting with a woman who said she was trapped in a man’s body. Shabnam – not her real name – who is a psychologist at a state-run clinic in Iran says some gay people now end up being pushed towards surgery. Doctors are told to tell gay men and women that they are “sick” and need treatment, she says. They usually refer them to clerics who tell them to strengthen their faith by saying their daily prayers properly. But medical treatments are also offered. And because the authorities “do not know the difference between identity and sexuality”, as Shabnam puts it, doctors tell the patients they need to undergo gender reassignment. In many countries this procedure involves psychotherapy, hormone treatment and sometimes major life-changing operations – a complex process that takes many years. That’s not always the case in Iran. “They show how easy it can be,” Shabnam says. “They promise to give you legal documents and, even before the surgery, permission to walk in the street wearing whatever you like. They promise to give you a loan to pay for the surgery.” Supporters of the government’s policy argue that transgender Iranians are given help to lead fulfilling lives, and have more freedom than in many other countries. But the concern is that gender reassignment surgery is being offered to people who are not transgender, but homosexual, and may lack the information to know the difference. This is pretty invasive stuff…same sex attraction doesn’t make you a transgender. But I guess if you want to love who you love and have peace in that nation, you have to get with the program and have your parts sliced up. What do you think, Read more http://chynaduru..com/ |
A 16-year-old boy was today sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 20 years after he admitted murdering his 61 year old teacher Ann Maguire. Leeds Crown Court heard he sent a Facebook message weeks before the killing, which said of Mrs Maguire: The teenager stabbed Mrs Maguire as she taught a class at Corpus Christi Catholic College, in Leeds, in April, 2014, when he was 15. ‘The one absolute fucking bitch that deserves more than death, more than pain and more than anything that we can understand. During psychiatric evaluation ,he said 'I wasn't in shock, I was happy. I had a sense of pride. I still do'I decided on Sunday it was going to be a knife. I thought I was just going to go to school and wait for her lesson and do it.I wanted to get caught. That's why I did it in school. I wanted to be in jail.’ I know it's uncivilised but I know it's incredibly instinctual and human.Past generations of life, killing is a route of survival. It's kill or be killed. I did not have a choice. It was kill her or suicide. ‘I know the victim's family will be upset but I don't care. In my eyes, everything I've done is fine and dandy.’ According to Mailonline, He had brought a bottle of whisky to school to celebrate after the attack, and had winked at a fellow pupil before starting to stab Mrs Maguire. The prosecutor said Mr Greaney said: ‘Mrs Maguire was at her desk helping pupils. She was leaning over, looking at the work of a girl. The defendant approached his teacher and began to stab her in the neck and back. He attacked her from behind. Ann Maguire was 61 years of age, 5ft 2in in height and of slim build. The defendant was a full foot taller and was armed with a large kitchen knife. To describe his attack as cowardly hardly does it justice.’ Mrs Maguire fled but she was chased by the boy ‘stabbing her as she sought to escape’. Mrs Maguire ran towards her feiend Mrs Francis, holding her neck and saying: ‘He's stabbed me in the neck.’. Mrs Francis pushed her friend into a work room and held her foot against the door to keep the boy out.She was able to see (the boy) through a glass panel in the door. His face was emotionless and he then walked away.’He sat down beside... as if nothing had happened and said that he had stabbed Mrs Maguire. He added that it was a pity she was not dead. He said to the entire class "good times" and spoke of an adrenalin rush. Undoubtedly, one of the most disturbing aspects of an extremely disturbing case is that (the boy) not only lacks remorse but is proud of what he did in killing Mrs Maguire, who he at one stage described to (a psychiatrist) as barely human.’ ‘That his anger and hatred in fact became focused upon a person as decent and loved as Ann Maguire only makes this case the more tragic and goes to explain the outpouring of grief that there has been within the school and within the community.’ The boy was said to have had a good family background with 'decent and responsible parents' Mr Justice Coulson - who said the boy may never be released - said he showed a 'chilling lack of remorse' over the attack ... He set the 20-year tariff - the minimum time the boy must serve in custody before he is released - but added that, after reading about him, 'it's quite possible that day may never come'. The boy - cannot be named for legal reasons http://chynaduru..com/ |

Thirteen years after the terrorist attack masterminded by Osama bin Laden in sept. 11 2001 destroyed it, the World Trade Center is back in business. The new One World Trade Center is a 104-story, $3.9 billion skyscraper, and is America’s tallest building. Some staffers of publishing giant Conde Nast began working at 1 World Trade Center on Monday. The 104-story, $3.9 billion skyscraper dominates the Manhattan skyline. The publishing giant becomes the first commercial tenant in America's tallest building. With construction fences gone and boxes of office equipment in place, the company moved into what Foye called "the most secure office building in America." It’s the centerpiece of the 16-acre site where the decimated twin towers once stood and where more than 2,700 people died on that faithful day. “The New York City skyline is whole again, as One World Trade Center takes its place in Lower Manhattan,” said Patrick Foye, executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey that owns both the building and the World Trade Center site. He said One World Trade Center “sets new standards of design, construction, prestige and sustainability; the opening of this iconic building is a major milestone in the transformation of Lower Manhattan into a thriving 24/7 neighborhood.” The eight-year construction of the 1,776-foot high skyscraper came after years of political, financial and legal infighting that threatened to derail the project. read more http://chynaduru..com/ |
An HIV-positive woman tried to steal several frozen dinners from Walmart earlier this week in Dallas. According to report by NY dailynews, the 25-year-old Diamond Lawrence allegedly attacked a Walmart employee at the Forest Lane store “in a bid to give him the virus” in order to get away with $11 worth of frozen food. She said: “I can infect whomever I please.” Police officers were able to confirm that Diamond Lawrence was wearing a medical wristband at the time that officially identified her as being HIV positive. According to the report, The HIV-positive woman attacked the Walmart employee by scratching his neck. Police believe that Diamond Lawrence was deliberately trying to draw blood from the employee and expose him to the virus. After the attack, Lawrence told the employee, “You’re welcome” in a sarcastic tone several times after she attacked him. Medics from the Dallas-Fire rescue crews that were called to the scene confirm that the employee had no known bodily fluids exchanged with HIV-positive Diamond Lawrence, so he is protected from infection. Due to the low amount of food that was stolen, Walmart will not prosecute Diamond Lawrence for theft. However, Diamond Lawrence was asked to never return to that store in the future. Pope Francis has called for abolition of life imprisonment ,saying it offers revenge for victims instead of pursuing true justice. He told representatives from the International Association of Penal Law: 'It is impossible to imagine that states today cannot make use of another means than capital punishment to defend peoples' lives from an unjust aggressor.Media and politicians advocated 'violence and revenge, public and private, not only against those responsible for crimes, but also against those under suspicion, justified or not' Catholic teaching does not proscribe capital punishment.'All Christians and men of good faith are therefore called upon today to fight, not only for the abolition of the death penalty – whether it is legal or illegal and in all its forms... and this, for me, is linked to life sentences. A sentence of life (without parole) is a hidden death penalty.' http://chynaduru..com/ |
