TV/Movies / Re: TSTV Responds To Bein Sports Removal From Their Satellite TV by dafe99: 7:44pm On Nov 03, 2017
brightnelly:
*TSTV Illegal Viewing Brouhaha*

A LOT has been going on behind the scene to ensure TSTV doesn't become a reality. From internal issues that are not meant for public consumption to issues of letters and screen shots against TSTV flying all over the Internet.

While TSTV Africa was test-running their signals with the free promo decoders distributed just 3 days ago, hackers waited for when it was time for the Arsenal match, took down TSTV signal for 30 minutes and inserted the *"You are viewing Bein Sports content illegally via TSTV Nigeria"* and sent it online for circulation. The entire team was frustrated and awake all night to figure out where the hacking was coming from.

So BEIN Sports even know the location and company airing their channels illegally and cannot Institute a law suit? THINK!!

First, it was a disclaimer letter from BEIN Sports that was circulated last month and now this viewing phony message when TSTV finally went live. *Why TSTV sports channels? Who is only interested in TSTV sports channels if not detractors?* Are other TSTV channels not showing? Why the 2 BEIN sport channels? They even told BEIN Sports that TSTV don't have a license to operate in Nigeria sef. That they have been blacklisted by the NBC. *That's the height of desperation. Let's be wise.*

Oh well... TSTV detractors should know one thing, that no matter the pressure and online propaganda to bring down TSTV with regards to BEIN Sports, the management of TSTV would never disclose the agreement they have with BEIN Sports because it's a non-disclosure agreement. They won't breach their part of the agreement. Know this!

If TSTV is airing BEIN illegally, BEIN Sports should make the move and sue. Let BEIN announce it on their official website and social media handles. BEIN Sports is a Qatar company and they have the all money and resources to fight TSTV. So I don't understand why the illegal messages aren't coming from their official channels but from some Nigerian social media handles. Funny...

Therefore, if you don't see these messages on their website, then disregard letters, screen shots and fake Qatar tel numbers on display in a time when anybody can have a UK phone number and the person is actually chilling somewhere in Ikotun. Phew!

Finally, Nigerians should know that the management of TSTV isn't selling decoders so you can't say they are defrauding you rather their decoders are FREE for now. So if the business crumbles at this early stage of take off, the young CEO of TSTV, Echefu Bright has nothing to lose. He would move on to another business and recover his loss from there. He's been doing well with his Africa Health Television Channels. Nigerians are the ones who have everything to lose as an alternative entertainment platform and job opportunities would be lost!

Everyone working at Green Glass House would be sacked. That your friend, relative, spouse or neighborhood that would have been employed by TSTV or as an accredited dealer would lose that opportunity of having an income or additional income. Some of you who would later want to provide program contents will never get to see that opportunity . Let wisdom guide us. Every company that adds an additional number to the number of employed Nigerians is important even if it's akara selling business, let's support it.

Whatever digital television services provider you want to stay with, do so without grudges and support more alternatives to spring up and give you more value for your money.

*I give salute to the entire team at TSTV. Well done and good luck.*
none disclosure my ass why would you choose such an agreement when you want your company to be customer friendly? take a look at kwese tv by econet in Nigeria, they were given the right publicly to broadcast premier league without a cost, why wont tstv do that? I love tstv so much, their innovation and services but this non disclosure thing has made me loose faith.

Car Talk / Re: 8 Cheap Cars To Get You Into Tuning In Naija by dafe99: 2:34pm On Dec 06, 2016
xvbill:
Before I start with the list, you should know that these cars are my own personal opinion, and tunung is not widely done in naija but its still done by some petrolheads. So for those of us in that "petrolhead" category.
If u consider going into to the car tuning world, here is a list of cars to consider.

8. Vw golf mk1 and mk2
Never underestimate this bad german, its light, cheap, parts are very available. Price range 200k-300k

7. Audi tt. Mk1
Very nimble, solid engine to begin with 160hp RWD . audi parts are not so widely in available in my place (Abj) maybe its in lagos. Price range ?

6. Mercedes benz 190E 2.6
This one was used by our elders and even if u asked them about the performance of the car they will tell u its a beast. Go for the 2.6 litre straight six version. The chasis is very good. This car was overengineered. U can get one from. 190k- 260k. Parts are very available

5.Older mustangs. 1990s
Not too common on the roads but if u like most car guys and you like visiting junk yard, mechanic garages you can find one lying around. If in good condition, especially the v8s, its a nice platform to work with. price range depends on the car condition. What I do know is, its never gonna be above 400k.

4.Mercedes benz clk
If am not mistaking, I mean that Benz a guy named sultan (drift king) owns. And if u are used to abj stunts there is also a white one owned by top sports team. A v6 engine that produces around 231hp. (According to owner) i don't really know the exact year and model but pls any one that knows the car better should help me describe it better.
As far as I know they are mostly AT. Price 270k-400k.

3. BMW e36.
Haha no much to say, u all know what this machine is, with different variants i4s and i6s. But the best deal to go for is a coupe 325. That's what most drifters use in abj. If u watch the stunts @ wuye, idu u should notice that. And what more. They sound incredible with straight pipes. HP 102 to 193hp depending on variant. The 325 produces 192 hp @ 5200rpm and 250Nm @ 4k rpm.
manual trannys are miles better than the autos. Price 200k- 350k

2. Nissan S13 and S14
So much love and support from car community, but i think maybe your average nissan mechanic doesnt know the "SX" Nissan. Not so common on our roads but u might one day stumble across one and if its for sale and you dont buy it, u may end up regreting. (Just a car guy thing). Its very cheap and I found one in gwags for 170k. It was a 180sx S13 1.8ltr turbocharged. both s13 and s14 use light i4 engines with huge power output due to force induction systems. For instant a 200sx produces 200hp from an 2.0ltr i4 which is good for hooning around, and burning rubber. My problem is these cars are rare in naija.

1. BMW e30.
Respect your elders. Since 1983, this devil was a star. With so much love in the car community, tuning an e30 would not be difficult due to fact that there is so much forums and information about this car on the web, so much tutorial videos and how to, DIY and everything that can even make u mental about the e30.
With so much variants to choose, I recommend the coupe 325i . its very cheap with 250k u can get yourself one. But be fast if u want a clean one. Because dark night motorsports and superbike Nigeria collects them and influenced it on our car guys. Every one now wants an e30. Prices will ramp up and I can bet it. Get one now. Its gonna be a bit difficult to get the coupe, then u might want to go for the sedan but still a 325i sedan
Wow, I love all these cars. They are not common and can be tunned easily to beauties.

Car Talk / Re: Japanese Vs German Vs American Cars by dafe99: 10:09am On Nov 28, 2016
Horladortune:

Lol Bro, After what my first car showed me, I've always bought brand new cars! At least i go wait make my money complete grin

And also i said "All or Most of them Japanese Cars" I once bought a brand new Honda Accord back then in Nigeria and i didn't use it up to 14 months before i disposed it off! Gearbox and some stupid flimzy fault trash! Couldn't stand it man, maybe i wasn't lucky but i have seen similar instances from my work colleagues and friends...

Drove a friend's brand new Nissan Xtrail 2016 2.0L last week and it still felt like toy. It felt like the Nissan was gonna flip over when i handled it the way i would do to my Audi. lol

Some products of Japanese seems to stand out though, honestly i have seen some impressing model of em when it comes to economy but why wont they be economic with their squirrel engine. Some of em are also reliable (But not more than a standard German car) and whatever else you think they can do but definitely not more than German on performance, rugged, speed and power!

Once you go German and you know what you know about cars you will remain German bro! Yes it may be expensive to repair(We know) but only one's negligence will break it down easily while Japanese cars on the other hand are less expensive to repair and more tolerant of poor maintenance generally! You cant mess with a Merc like that!

Cars ain't just about HP(Horse Power) and Torque.

Have you seen the old and new BMW X6?

Have you seen the Audi RS 5 with Horsepower: 450 hp and Engine: 4.2 L V8

The new 2017 Volkswagen Golf "R" The successor of the Golf GTI...

Lets not get to Mercedes Benz C63 AMG or G63 AMG and the Audi Q SUV Series... All theses are the standard German sh*t bro

Just the weight of Audi's door alone! Lol you cant just compare this Japanese M*otherf*ckerz with this real dudes mehn!
Lol the weight of the door alone! Abeg no kill me with laff

All or most of these crazy Japanese cars are full of sh*t... I've tried them before!

Phones / Re: IR Blasters: How Often Do You Use It by dafe99: 3:48pm On Nov 12, 2016
Since we all use our phones most times, perhaps its easier to control most in-house appliances. A friend of mine had one of those samsung gear watches, we used it to cause commotion in one of the eateries by turning off the tv, when they try putting it on, we put it off again Lol. They suspected us, but we weren't with any handheld device so we looked innocent. A very funny day though.
