Politics / Re: EFCC And Governor Joshua Dariye of Plateau State by Dagogo(m): 7:06pm On Jan 22, 2006
I don't know how to describe the drama taking place in the plateau but all point to a bad omen . It is criminal for EFCC and by extension the executive to think of freezing a state Government account under a democracy . It is a travesty of justice for a Judge of the Federal High Court to grant the order freezing the account of the Government no matter under what guise or purpose. Their action will affect not only the Governor and members of his cabinet but also innocent civil servants of the State. They should present facts of the allegation of corruption to the State House of Assembly for investigation and action . Their action left no other definition to describe them than meddlesome interlopers in matter not under their portfolio.
They may have suceeded in Bayelsa State under DSP but they should be careful not to take their luck too far because an illegality remains an illegality no matter how sucessful their previous application might have been.

Each passing day one hear or is disturbed by the troubles in the Niger-Delta the thing is the govt.now and before never thought it wise discussing the problem in the area with the representatives of the people of the area they forgot that the youths and the militants are children with mothers and fathers in the area they are not demons but ordinary people like me and you. The problem is the govt does not want to adopt the appropriate mode of settling the dispute which is dialogue with authentic leaders of the peopleand until then the problem lingers on
Politics / Re: Oyo State Governor Ladoja Impeached At Last by Dagogo(m): 8:21pm On Jan 16, 2006
Hi Ralex, it is surprising and disgusting the comments of the chairman of amala politics on the refusal of Ladoja at sharing security vote with him and that is why Ladoja was removed from office. The saying show me your friend and i will show you who you are is true about the leadership of the ruling party thePDP no wonder then Ahmadu Ali likened Adedibu as an army commander well it also happened that Ahmadu Ali once norminated Wife and Son for board appointment. well this is Nigeria, a Banana Republic

It is quite interesting EFCC has not reacted or taken any step at investigating Alhaji Ladoja on the alegations of corruption especially on the deposit of public fund into private account or are they waiting for a formal report from the legislature of Oyo state. They should avoid the pit-fall that they are only interested in removing the enemies of the state from office
Politics / Re: The Gbenga Obasanjo Interview by Dagogo(m): 6:14pm On Jan 15, 2006
I wonder why Gbenga would want to deny granting the interview, it does not matter whether it was an interview or discussion the important thing is that he gave his opinion on those issues. The correctness of that opinion should be the basics of the reply from affected parties. Their reply to the accusations, comments and assertions of Gbenga will help them a great deal in shifting or removing guilt from their person, family, and associates. These persons includes OBJ,Muyiwa,El-Rufai,Olujimi Lawal and Atiku. Silence sometimes is not golden

the problem is not ladoja or adedibu but the system and corruption there are 32 members in the oyo state legislature 2/3 members were needed to impeach the governor definitely, 18 members does not form the neccessary quorum. The panel did not allow counsel to Ladoja the 3 days he reqested for to present his defence even though they have 3 months to present their report the acting C.J rushed to swear in Akala when there was a pending ruling to be delivered on the matter by justice yusuf of the same court.OBJ has a role to play by ensuring we don't go back to the wild wild west of old and its fall outs
