Education / They Did Not Know The Secret The Queen Was Hiding by DahStoryteller0: 4:26pm On Apr 08
There once lived a king who had three wives. The king loved his wives equally, but third wife was so beautiful and this made the other wives jealous of her.
But the third wife was quite mysterious. She always put on clothes which covered all her body apart from her face, and also, she does not work when others are watching. She likes to work when everyone was done for the day and gone.
One day, the first and second wives decided to know what the third wife was hiding.
They secretly hid in her chamber one night, and watched her change her clothes. There they found out the secret she was hiding all along–the third wife had only one hand.
The two wives came out of their hiding place and mocked the third wife for her disability. Then they ran into the king's chamber to report to the king about what they had discovered.
The third wife was so afraid and she ran out of the palace. She ran as fast as her legs could carry her, until she became tired. She wept bitterly and was scared that the king may send her on exile if he found out about her disability.
A while later, an old woman passed by and pleaded with the third wife to help her with the load she was carrying on her head. The old woman complained that she had been walking for miles and is already tired.
The third wife, despite her grieve, helped the old woman with her load.
When they got to the old woman's hut, the old woman asked the third wife what the problem was. The third wife narrated her ordeal to her. The old woman took pity on the third wife and gave her a magic soap. She told her to go to the river and bathe with the soap, then she will have a second hand.
The third wife thanked the old woman and hurriedly went to the river. She bathed with the soap the old woman had given to her, and a second hand magically appeared. Now she has two hands.
She happily went back to the palace. When she got to the palace, the king and everyone else in the palace were waiting. The king instructed the maids to bring a mortar and a pestle, and he ordered the third wife to pound with two hands.
Proudly, the third wife brought out her two hands, took the pestle and began pounding.
The other two wives saw this and were astonished. The king was very angry at them and banished them from the kingdom.
The two wives ashamedly left the kingdom in regrets. They regretted that they mocked the third wife for her misfortune, when they should have shown pity on her when she needed it. They wished they didn't treat her with so much disdain, and were kind to her instead.

Jokes Etc / The Hunter And The Bird by DahStoryteller0: 3:22pm On Apr 08
Once upon a time, a hunter caught a bird while hunting. The bird pleaded for it's life and promised the Hunter that he would never lack food if he's life was spared.
The hunter agreed and took the bird home, the hunter called his wife and told her about the bird. The bird told them to pluck out a feather and put it in a pot of boiling water, it would turn into a delicious meal.
The Hunter plucked out a feather, gave it to his wife. She put it in a pot of boiling water, just as the bird had said and it turned into a very delicious meal. The hunter and his wife were so amazed and decided to keep the bird in a cage.
Everyday, the bird would give a feather to the hunter. For months, the hunter and his wife did not lack good food.
One day, the hunter's wife said to the hunter, "why don't we cook the bird instead, rather than just it's feather. If we cook the bird, we could have a bigger meal which could last for a whole year. The hunter thought about it, and decided that it was a good idea.
He took the bird from the cage, killed it and gave to his wife. His wife put the bird in a pot of boiling water, but nothing happened. It did not produce any meal.
The hunter and his wife regretted killing the bird.
