Family / Is Agency Fee Not Refundable In This Situation? by Dainy1(m): 2:07pm On Sep 03
I paid 770k for a one bedroom apartment and they were supposed to renovate the house, it took them one month without renovation. till date no renovations. They didn't give me receipt too.

(The caretaker and two agents are the one involved I don't know the landlord)

I changed my mind and requested for my money which I told them I will wait pending when there's a new person. once he make payments, they should refund me.
Someone came few days ago and made payments (850k) even higher than mine. They credited me last night with 700k. That 70k which was the aggreed agency fee is non refunded?
Pls, agent, landlords, lawyers or experience people in the house, is this true?
Is this how is being done?
Pls, enlighten me because I don't want to let go of that money and I don't know how to get it back either.

@Op, be very careful. Everywhere is not funny lately. One chance people now kidnap and demand from loved ones whither you're from a rich home or not. Most people are not really who they claim to be online.
Some are married and they stays alone, their family don't stay in Abuja.
So, be careful.
See how you're disclosing your location online as if you're a strange in this country.
All the best anyway

Family / Have You Ever Had Or Seen Experience Buying A Stolen Items? by Dainy1(m): 1:04am On Jul 11
So, a younger colleague, unknowingly bought a laptop from a seller online. The seller advertised as his personal laptop which he wants to sell to pay up his house rent.
Weeks later, the seller
got caught by the police, my colleague came into the matter, he was made to return the laptop, but wasn't giving back his 250k which he used in buying. As the seller was still in police custody. According to them, the guy had gamble away with all the money he realized from the stolen items he sold. And still had other cases.
According to the police, they told my colleague there's nothing they can do about getting back his money.

Have you ever had any experience?
How is my colleague supposed to retrieve his money after releasing the laptop back to the police?
Was he supposed to return the laptop since his money was not available?
What's your take on this?
If it Were you, what would you do in this case?

Dainy1, Isn't packing your own lunch anywhere cheaper than having to eat out? Over here, when pockets are tight, it is always best to pack your own lunch from home that way you are sure it is cheaper than eating out over 90% of the time.
Since that day, I have rescheduled myself. No money to waste on such again

Cooking at home will always be cheaper than eating out.
Get those jollof mix tomato paste,onoins,crayfish..Fry the tomato paste well and make jollof rice. You can get boiled eggs instead of fish. This economy requires everyone to be wise with spending because we don't know the magnitude of shege that's ahead.2500 is very extravagant to use for a plate of food esp for a sole provider with 2 kids and wife depending on him.

I don't think they can be this foolish again. Seems you don't know how Nigerians are suffering? If ordinary garri a poor man's food was sold for #500 during Jonathan regime but now sold for #4,200-#4,500. Some of them are even wishing him death.
Forget that thing. Tribalism is one of the biggest challenges in Nigeria. No level of hunger can stop that

As for the suffering, it's just beginning oh. This first year is going to be his best year. More capital will leave that country as time goes on and the bleeding will continue.

We warned seriously against voting in this cartel but they shouted Emilokan and the idiots from north saw Muslim-Muslim ticket and started having erections.

Those fish 500 each while the rice is 1500?

Maybe it's time you wake up early and hustle something into a small flask before leaving your house.
You are right
Family / How Do You Go About Feeding Now This Day? by Dainy1(m): 10:28am On Jun 11
So, I decided to trek a long distance to eat in a place where food are cheaper compared to the one close to my office..
This food that can't reach me anywhere is #2500, I feel like asking for more, but that will increase the money to 5k. I can't afford to spend 5k this morning, so let me just use this one hold body.
Feeding this day is like an investment.
How do you go about feeding this day?
Family, where is only one partner that brings in, how do you cope?
Single mothers, how una dey take run em?
Those with plenty children, una dey fit chop 3 times a day so?
Because, me with just two children, wifey is not doing anything, I want to run mad here o

For collecting money from her adultery lifestyle and use it to feed the man, the man's destiny is gone for good.
She might be the reason why the man is jobless in the first place, because if your wife wants to destroy you it will not cost her much but to collect money from her concubine and cook for the husband.
Even when the man have no knowledge?
Family / She Cheat To Provide For The Family/her Husband by Dainy1(m): 6:54pm On Jun 02
What's your take on this.
A married woman cheating on her husband, collecting money from the man and feeding the family including her husband. Paying bills and taking care of everyone. Since her husband has been jobless for a long time and her salary is not much.

Who is at fault?
What would you do as a husband once you discover?
Women, can you go through all these, knowing that when caught, the man and the society will still condem you?
What's your general take on this?

Why would you be in love with another when you are married. You have already committed adultery and have betrayed your spouse.

In whatever you believe in your religion, you should love your spouse, but if spousal behaviour or character has not change affecting you loving your spouse.

Then think about it, if it is not working out you should do either of these 3 things tolerate,or separate or divorce for peace. Also remember the rule of divorce, it is not always rosy.

Do not allow the human nature/flesh to ruin your life.
Nobody is taking about separation or divorce.
You just find yourself loving someone so deeply
