Nairaland GeneralWhat Are Your Views On Homosexuality? by dakkylove(op): 12:31pm On Oct 29, 2009
this is a topic that has bothered me for quite some time, i have always tried to keep an open mind on my views in Life, but there are some issues that you cannot just be tolerating of,it's either you are for or against it.
homosexuality for me is in black and white ,there is no middle ground for me it is a Sin, against God and against nature but at the end of the day we are all sinners.
i don't think it is right to disriminate against anybody because of their sexual orientation or religion, and i have met some open homosexuals who do not feel there is anything wrong with them and they are entitled to love whomsoever they want to.

what are your views on homosexuality? can you be friends with an open homosexual? can you have your kids, siblings and friends around them.
do you even consider it a sin to mix with this homosexuals ,africans have strong views on homosexuality but at the rate the Western world is becoming accepting of this gays ,have your views been diluted?

personally my views on Homosexuality are still the same,i still consider them to be living in sin. but i do not consider it to be a taboo to talk with them or even be friends with them. but when i have kids i'm not sure if my position will remain the same. what is yours pls share.
RomanceRe: I Am Going To Have A Nervous Breakdown by dakkylove(f): 1:29pm On Oct 28, 2009
my dear seriously force yourself to go out of the house and hang out with your friends, staying by yourself will only remind you of being with him and before you know it, you,ll either call again, cry again or be miserable. what you need is activity, what is your job like. if you can take some time off, do that.
it's obvious that his mum laughing at you while you were crying shows there is sthing going on that ure just getting to know about now.
i will not feed ideas into your head but seriously you do not need to be alone right now.find someone to chill with ,maybe go watch a movie.your pleading too much might even push the guy further away. men are complicated.
RomanceRe: I Am Going To Have A Nervous Breakdown by dakkylove(f): 9:37am On Oct 28, 2009
you know when i first read this post my first reaction was to go at you for crying your eyes out over a situation like this, but from reading all your messages, you're obviously in love and hurt with his attitude and what you're looking for is some kind of closure. some kind of explanation for his behaviour. this particular situation happened to me recently but i didn't even think twice before moving on. but that is me,and i probably was not as in love with my Bf as you obviously are.
my advice to you is this, do you have friends in Europe? if you have friends go hang out with them, keep yourself occupied, for his mum to make that kind of comment, well my dear try and be strong, who knows he might even be more attracted to a stronger you, and if he doesn't come back, the next guy will appreciate a kind, caring, loyal and now strong woman that you will become.
Christianity EtcRe: Nigerian Top 100 Pastors by dakkylove(f): 3:29pm On Oct 09, 2009
but seriously what childish human being would seek to rank pastors, rank them based on what? stop hero worshipping this men and exposing them to ridicule if you admire this Men of God there are several ways to show your admiration, attend their church, buy their books and tapes e.t.c for all Men are Equal in God's eyes.as for me there is only one No 1 God the rest are all men.
Christianity EtcRe: I Believe In A God: But Still Choosing Religions by dakkylove(f): 5:58pm On Oct 08, 2009
what is all this hullaboo about. you claim you are still choosing religions but it is obvious you are a muslim. the claim from muslims is that Allah is God and who am i to judge them. i have had Korans in my house, i have read some and i have Muslim friends the bottom line is this. do not speak of things you do not understand. i do not understand wholly the muslim faith so i cannot speak on it neither can i condemn it. it seems to be a peaceful religion with a lot of good and yes bad qualities which include the Jihad.Christianity isn't perfect either some fanatics have twisted the Scriptures in the bible as an escuse to wreak havoc on people. my conclusion. i believe in Christ, I believe Christ died for my sins, i believe i am saved because of this sacrifice. i believe in God and the holyspirit and if you ask me for evidence. my life is Evidence.he has been fantastic in my life and i will never shake from my faith.y'all can have your beliefs at the end of the day we all will be judged, it is not my job to judge.@the originator of this thread i pray you choose well and you choose properly because you might influence your children. stop comparing religions believe in what you have chosen to believe, you have a conscience i pray it leads you well at the end of the day, you will all be judged.

i think you guys need to be careful in your utterances. it is true there has been a lot of negative talk aabout Men of God. but who are we to judge. you can make your opinions known without insulting them or calling them names. if you do not agree with the attitude or integrity of a man of God no problem but that does not mean you should categorise them all. i try not to judge this men, and i remember after all said and done they are but men. i do not hero worship them as a lot of people do in Naija. they are only flesh and blood like you and I. if they have a message from God and my spirit accepts it. i listen if not i don';t accept it. it's that simple. some of tyou bloggers act like, oh well enough said.
RomanceRe: Virginity Is Dignity, Not Lack Of Opportunity by dakkylove(f): 11:08am On Oct 08, 2009
seriously will you all just stop, for the person who posted this thread thank God for your life and continue , however virginity is not s sure ticket of going to heaven, however sexual immorality is one of the sins against the body .so if you are saving yourself for marriage, you are on the right path so long as your life too is also a mirror of holiness. some people with different faiths and religion do not share this view and they should not be judged. if for one reason or the other you are not a virgin, that doesn't mean you are going to hell either. God judges the heart for some might be virgins but their heart might be black. we are all sinners so nobody is perfect but in all things we should strive to serve our Lord and master and obey his words. sermon finished, for the rest of you guys don't make fun of people because they have decided to keep themselves for marriage, there is nothing wrong with being chaste and don't make fun of people cos of your own actions.
ok back to hibernation you guys crack me u p on this site.
CelebritiesRe: Most Fluent English Speaking Nigerian Actor by dakkylove(f): 11:41am On Jul 17, 2009
you guys forget ever eloquent, erudite and articulate Pete Edochie of the "Great Things Fall Apart", he remains one of the best in the industry. Olu jacobs, Yemi Blaq and Kalu Ikeagwu are also quite good.

For the actresses i would go for Joke Silva, Ego Boyo, Bimbo Akintola and Kate Henshaw.
PoliticsRe: Fresh Plot To Unseat Bankole by dakkylove(f): 2:35pm On Jul 13, 2009
i must confess i got carried away from the topic by all the tribal slants being expressed, iyk you really should choose your words carefully, calling a particular sect the oduduwa is not a nice trait to display in a naija forum like this.as for the impeachment proceedings, na today bankole will probably not go anywhere.
CultureRe: Did You Hawk Anything On The Streets As A Child ? by dakkylove(f): 12:59pm On Jul 13, 2009
this is actually a very touching topic, i have never hawked in my life , but for all of you who came from very humble beginnings, never forget where you came from, and always try to help, some children who hawked were used for rituals, converted to become armed robbers e.t.c therefore it's a miracle for those of you who have survived and done fantastic things with your life.we all have our own levels of struggle but the lesson is to learn from our experiences and hope that we have become better persons.

this country really our leaders have no respect for us they must think we're no different than cows blindly following whoever leads us with a small stick.
