Europe is preparing for war with Russia. I’m afraid even Trump may not be able to stop them because the stakes are way too high.

AFRICA is the reason for this war. Russia has cracked the code of freedom from neocolonialism on the continent and this has rattled colonial (Western Europe) to the core. That’s why they raised Zelensky and chose Ukraine to tackle, weaken and or eliminate the threat called Russia.

Like Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger, many more African nations are reportedly making plans to dump their colonial masters and embrace true independence, with the help of Russia, between now and the next 12-18 months.

The colonials, led by France who has been the worst hit in the continent of Africa, are solidly and irreversibly on war path. This is why the so called talk of peace from Trump irritates them. This is why Zelensky intentionally acted the way he did in the White House. This is why for the first time since ww2, Europeans are ready to put out a whooping $1 Trillion dollars in defense budget for Europe - that’s about the same defense budget as the U.S. - just to fight Russia. That’s why they’re calling America’s bluff and openly countering Trump’s narrative of peace in Ukraine at every turn.

I thought we were in the clear on this ww3 thing. I was wrong. These children of the guns want it. And they want it desperately.

The Rivets State Governor, Nyesom Wike, on Thursday, received former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe, in Rumuepirikom, his country home in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
Orubebe, who recently resigned from the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, had yet to disclose his next political destination.
Also, the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Philip Aduda led, the PDP leadership in the red chamber to a closed-door meeting with the governor.
In attendance at the meeting were the Senate Minority Whip, Senator Chukwuka Utazi, Senator Shuaibu Lau, Senator Danjuma La’ah, and Senator Barry Mpigi.
A government house source said the senators arrived at the governor’s residence some few minutes past 3 pm and immediately went into the closed door with their host, Wike, in a meeting which lasted till about 6 pm.
Also, Governor Wike played host to elder Orubebe and they both held a private meeting.
The outcome of the meeting with Orubebe and the senators was not made public and none of the political leaders spoke on the reasons for their visit.
The Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, had also held private meetings with Wike on Wednesday.
The meetings by Mahammed and Obi were preceded earlier in the week by that of the Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi.
Wike had yet to make any comment since he lost the PDP’s vice presidential ticket to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State.
The PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, had set up a committee to reach out to Wike, fearing that he may work against the party in the 2023 general election.
It was believed that Bala Mohammed, who also contested the presidential primary election of the party, was sent by the committee to talk to Wike and make him support the party to win in the next year’s elections.
Governor Wike had said, during the party’s conversation, that he would support whoever emerged, and vowed to remain in the PDP.

The pastor of Rhema Deliverance Mission, Awka, Dr Amaechi Nwachukwu, on Sunday, declared operation-show-your-PVC in his church.

Amaechi had upon the commencement of service in his church reminded members of the church who are of age that he had last Sundayasked them to come to church with their permanent voters’ card, as proof of being eligible voters.

He asked all members who came with their PVCs to raise them up, but later refrained from sending those who had none away.

He told them: “I will not send you away because you do not have your PVCs, because I cannot stop you from benefiting from the blessings of God.

“But I want to let you know how important it is for you to have it, and PVC is compulsory in this church. You cannot be complaining about bad government, yet not do anything to ensure a change.

“For all of you who do not have it, the registration for voters’ card has been extended, and that should afford you the opportunity to go and get it.”

Amaechi, who told his congregation that he had decided to join active politics as a House of Representatives candidate of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) warned against collecting money to vote, saying that it was part of corruption, and that doing so would amount to selling one’s future, and the future of one’s children.

“You won’t get it (PVC) for purpose of collecting bribe to vote. The N5,000 you collect on election day, you don’t know how much it amounts to, when you check the number of people that politicians give the money, just to win election.

“That is why when a politician becomes governor after buying your votes with several billions, he ignores you. Do you expect him to remember you after paying you to vote?

“He will not remember you because he believes that he has paid for the votes, and the next is to get the position and start making money for himself.

“We have decided to go for election for House of Representatives. We believe it is time to join the fray and also ensure that things change.

“I’m not campaigning to you because most of you are not from my constituency, Oyi Federal Constituency, but we feel that no matter where you have your voting point, you should be able to get your PVC and also vote,” the clergy man turned politicians admonished his members

The Independent National Electoral Commission has presented to Senator Douye Diri of the Peoples Democratic Party certificate of return as the duly elected governor of Bayelsa State.

He was presented the certificate at the headquarters of the commission in Abuja.

The presentation follows the declaration of Douye as winner of the election following the order of the Supreme Court in Abuja on Thursday.

Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde, has announced that schools in Oyo state may resume on July 15 despite increased in covid-19 patients.

Oyo state has so far recorded 29 cases which 20 are active as of the time of publishing this information.

Gov. Makinde, in his speak at the Secretariat of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Oyo State branch, in Agodi, Ibadan, at a programme to mark this year’s Worker’s Day, announced the postponed second term will last for two weeks in July while the third term will kick off immediately.

This is the same day that the Presidential Task Force on the deadly virus gives suggestion that schools should remain shut down.

Gov. Makinde said the government suggest that school will reopen by July 15.

“I have a conversation with proprietor's of private school and the schools are all closed. Those Proprietors only have a means of paying the teachers they employed which is through the students school fees.

Now, the students are on lockdown, they have to convince the teachers to stay but no money to pay them. “My idea is, we need to make parents aware that this period, students are at home, we take it as their holiday. We have a suggestion date of July 15th. We are looking forward to be able to open the schools by July 15th and if we do that, they will complete the two weeks holiday of the second term and start the third term immediately. “This means no long holiday for the students anymore and they will promote to start the next (term),” he said.
