Prayer Points on "HE SHALL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS"

1. Father, I thank You for the wonderful gift of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter and Great Teacher, whom You sent to reveal all things to us and guide us into all truth, in Jesus' name (John 14:26). Thank You for the wisdom of God that is freely available to us.

2. Merciful God, I repent for all the times I have relied on my own natural understanding, intelligence, or the wisdom of this world, instead of leaning on the illumination of the Holy Spirit. Forgive me for neglecting to study Your Word with an open heart. Cleanse me from every form of spiritual dullness, in Jesus' name (1 Corinthians 2:6-7).

3. My Father, my God, I ask for a greater measure of intimacy with the Holy Spirit. Help me to stir up the Spirit within me through worship, prayer, and reverence, so that my heart is always prepared to receive divine teaching, in Jesus' name (1 Corinthians 2:10-12).

4. Lord, I pray that You will open the eyes of my understanding. As I read my Bible, let the Holy Spirit illuminate Your Word to me, giving me fresh, hidden, and powerful revelations that go beyond what the natural man can discern, in Jesus' name (Ephesians 1:18).

5. Oh God, the source of all wisdom, I pray for divine insights in every area of my life—my studies, career, ministry, and relationships. Let the Holy Spirit teach me so thoroughly that I become wiser and more knowledgeable than my peers, to the glory of Your name, in Jesus' name (James 1:5).

6. Father, let every plan of the enemy to cloud my understanding, confuse my mind, or blind me to the truth of Your Scriptures be frustrated. I receive the grace to discern spiritual things spiritually and to reject the foolishness of the natural man, in Jesus' name (1 Corinthians 2:14-15).

7. By the authority in the Name of Jesus, I refuse to be a minister or worker who feeds people with stale knowledge. Let the fresh light and revelation of the Holy Spirit continually flow through me so that I can feed Your people with the real Word of God, in Jesus' name.

8. According to Your Word, I declare that I have the mind of Christ. Let my thoughts, decisions, and actions be guided by the deep, hidden wisdom that the Holy Spirit reveals, ensuring my glory and success in life, in Jesus' name (1 Corinthians 2:16).

9. I lift up Your son, Pastor E. A. Adeboye. Father, continue to grant him uninterrupted access to the revelatory ministry of the Holy Spirit. Let the Holy Spirit move mightily in and through his ministry, using him to continually unlock the deep things of God for the body of Christ, in Jesus' name.

10. My personal prayer point: (Mention any specific area where you need the Holy Spirit to teach you, give you a new insight, or bring a scripture to your remembrance for guidance.)

11. Thank You, Father, for hearing and answering my prayers. I declare that I am teachable, and I will be continually taught and led by the Holy Spirit, becoming a testimony of divine wisdom and intelligence, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen!

THEME: HE SHALL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS

MEMORISE: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26

READ: 1 Corinthians 2:6-16
6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

MESSAGE
The Holy Spirit is a teacher. In today’s memory verse, Jesus said that the Holy Spirit will teach you all things. When you are intimate with the Holy Spirit, He will cause you to be enlightened beyond your level of education. You might read the same materials that other people read, but the knowledge and insights you will get from those same materials will be far more than what they get.

When you study your Bible, the Holy Spirit will illuminate the word of God to you beyond your level of intelligence. Many ministers find it difficult to retain their members because they are unable to feed them with the real word of God. In some cases, by the time some of these ministers are halfway through reading the Bible text for their sermons, their members already know what they will say, how they will start, and how they will end. The only way you can get something new from the word of God every day is when the Holy Spirit teaches you Himself. He is the only One who is capable of giving you fresh revelation from the Scriptures daily.

When I study the Bible, I usually read a chapter, then ask the Holy Spirit which verse we will dwell on out of the entire passage. He will often show me the verse, and then I will ask Him to teach me from that verse, and He will.

However, one day, I was reading Matthew 10, and after I read verse 1, and while reading verse 2, He said to me, “Stop. We are going to discuss verse 2 today” I looked at the verse: “Now the names of the twelve apostles are these…”I couldn’t imagine how there could be something to learn from that verse, so I said, “Lord, I can’t see anything to dwell on here.” He told me, “Read it again.” I read it again and again. By the time I was reading it the third time, light had broken out, and I had begun to see what the Holy Spirit wanted me to see. I will discuss what the Holy Spirit showed me in Matthew 10:2 tomorrow because I can write an entire book from that verse alone now.

Beloved, if you want to become smarter and more intelligent every day, you need to get more intimate with the Holy Spirit. He will teach you so well that even you will be amazed by how knowledgeable and wise you will become.

KEY POINT
The Holy Spirit teaches us and illuminates our hearts when we become intimate with Him.

THEME: KNOWING THE HOLY SPIRIT

MEMORISE: And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. Luke 1:35

READ: Luke 1:34-37
34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.

37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

MESSAGE
When I first got born again, I noticed that each time an altar call was made in church, the Pastor would say, those who want salvation should come forward. Those who want sanctification and baptism in the Holy Spirit should ask God for it.” At that time, I had never heard a teaching on the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and I wondered what the pastor meant. After some time, I became thirsty for the Holy Spirit; I wanted to really know Him, and I began to read books on the baptism of the Holy Spirit. In time, I became baptized in the Holy Spirit and grew really intimate with Him.

If you become a friend of the Holy Spirit, there is no limit to what God can do through you. While I was reading about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, today’s Bible reading really caught my attention. The angel told Mary that she would have a son, and Mary asked a very important question, “How can I conceive when I am a virgin?” The angel then said, “The Holy Ghost will come upon you,” and he ended his statement with, “For with God, nothing shall be impossible.” Seeing this, I realized that if the Holy Ghost comes upon me and overshadows me, then nothing would be impossible for me.
Beloved, to live a life of holiness even when you are surrounded by so many temptations, you need the Holy Ghost. You also need the Holy Ghost for impossibilities to become possible in your life. When I read about how the Holy Spirit came upon Mary, I knew that I had to become intimate with the Holy Ghost in order to do exploits for God. Therefore, I got baptized in the Holy Ghost and began to speak His language. Then, He began to do seemingly impossible things for the spread of the gospel and the expansion of God’s Kingdom through me.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Acts 1:8

When you make the Holy Ghost your friend, you will become empowered to do exploits and take the gospel to the ends of the earth. Make up your mind to become more and more intimate with Him every day.

KEY POINT
When you are intimate with the Holy Spirit, nothing will be impossible to you.

HYMN 27: WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS
1 What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!

2 Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer!

3 Are we weak and heavy laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge—
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
Do your friends despise, forsake you?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In his arms he’ll take and shield you;
You will find a solace there.

THEME: HEARING FROM GOD II

MEMORISE: My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: John 10:27

READ: John 10:1-15
1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.

7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

MESSAGE
Today’s memory verse tells us that anyone who is a sheep in God’s pasture should hear His voice frequently. When you hear from God, He will guide you in all your ways.

Years ago, during a meeting, some ministers of God had a disagreement on who to vote for between the two major Presidential candidates in Nigeria. I was also in the meeting, and I said, “Brethren, has God told you that either of them will be president? Did He tell you if there will even be an election and if the result will be allowed to stand? Has He told you which of the two He wants?”I told them, “As for me, He hasn’t told me yet. I’ve been asking Him who will be president, but He hasn’t answered, which means I have probably been asking the wrong question. I’m going to change my question to Will there be an election, and will the result be accepted?”” Shortly after that meeting, we were having a pastors conference in RCCG, and I told those present that God finally answered me concerning the elections. He said that one of the candidates would win but would not be allowed to rule, and this was exactly what happened. Asking God about situations and waiting on Him to speak will help a christian to live above confusion.

One morning, I asked God which route to take to work to avoid being held up in traffic. He said, “You are not leaving the house today.” I began to quote the Bible to the one who wrote it, “Lord, You said that he who will not work should not eat. Your word also says, ‘Seest thou a man diligent in his business, he shall stand before kings and not mean men.”” He insisted, so I said, “Okay. If they fire me, I’m sure You will provide another job.” At that time, I had not listened to the radio, so I didn’t know that a military coup had happened. A short while later, there was chaos in a school in front of my house as parents rushed to pick up their children. That was when l put on my radio and heard what had happened. God’s voice shielded me from the pandemonium that broke out on the streets.

Beloved, train your spirit to hear God’s voice by spending time in His presence studying His word, worshipping, and waiting on Him. His voice will instruct you in the way you should go and protect you from evil.

PRAYER POINT
Father, pease open my ears to hear You clearly always.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: John 9-10

HYMN 30: WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD
1 When we walk with the Lord
In the light of his word,
What a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2 Not a burden we bear,
Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil he doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss,
Not a frown or a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.

3 But we never can prove
The delights of his love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor he shows,
For the joy he bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

4 Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at his feet,
Or we’ll walk by his side in the way;
What he says we will do,
Where he sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.

Prayer Points on "HEARING FROM GOD"

1. Father, I thank You for the wonderful gift of the Holy Spirit, who moves, speaks, and brings order out of chaos, just as He did in creation (Genesis 1:2-3). Thank You for making it possible for me to hear Your voice, in Jesus' name.

2. Merciful God, I repent for all the times my heart has been too distracted, noisy, or impatient to listen for Your still, small voice. Forgive me for walking in self-will and relying on my own understanding instead of seeking Your direction. Cleanse me from every spirit of resistance to the Holy Spirit, in Jesus' name (Proverbs 3:5-6).

3. My Father, my God, release upon me a greater measure of the Spirit of worship and brokenness. Teach me how to stir the Holy Spirit within me through genuine praise, worship, and reverence, creating an atmosphere where Your voice becomes clear, in Jesus' name.

4. Lord, I pray for a baptism of sensitivity to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Open the heavens over my life, just as they opened for Jesus, that I may receive clear, undeniable direction and know that I am Your beloved, in whom You are well pleased, in Jesus' name (Matthew 3:16-17).

5. Oh God, the God who makes ministering easy, I pray for divine direction in every area of my life—my ministry, career, finances, family, and relationships. Let me not embark on any venture that You have not commanded. Deliver me from running projects or pursuing goals that are a waste of time and resources because they are outside Your will, in Jesus' name.

6. Father, let every plan of the enemy to introduce hardship, unnecessary persecution, or lack of funds into my life through self-will and disobedience be frustrated. I receive the grace to obey Your voice promptly and completely so that I may constantly be at the center of Your plan and provision, in Jesus' name.

7. By the authority in the Name of Jesus, I refuse to be misled by the opinions of men or by the zeal that is not according to knowledge. Let Your voice be the ultimate guide for every decision I make. Let Your Spirit saturate my environment so that I am always hearing from You frequently, in Jesus' name.

8. According to Your Word, as I operate in Your will, even when things get difficult, I pray that You will carry me through (Psalm 23:4). Let my life be a consistent testimony of Your grace and glory because I am led by Your Spirit, in Jesus' name.

9. I lift up Your son, Pastor E. A. Adeboye. Father, continue to grant him uninterrupted access to Your counsel. Let the Holy Spirit move mightily in and through his ministry, and use him to lead Your people into higher realms of Your grace and glory, in Jesus' name.

10. My personal prayer point: (Mention any specific area where you desperately need to hear God's voice, receive a confirmation, or need grace to stir the Spirit within you.)

11. Thank You, Father, for hearing and answering my prayers. I declare that I will consistently create an atmosphere for Your Spirit to operate in my life, and I will always follow Your leading, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen!

Matthew 3:16-17

READ: Genesis 1:2-3
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

MESSAGE
The first time God spoke in the Bible was in today’s Bible reading. To understand what it takes for God to speak to you, you must study that passage of the scripture carefully. Before He spoke, the Spirit of God moved over the face of the earth. This means that God speaks whenever the Holy Spirit is in operation.

If you want to hear from God, the Holy Spirit must be in operation around you. Once you know how to stir Him in you, you will constantly hear from Him. I hear from God frequently when I am preaching because usually, before I step on any altar to minister, the congregation would have spent some time worshipping God. Then, when I step on the altar, I would continue to worship and eulogize God. When I am done, and it is time to preach, the Spirit of God would have saturated the entire place, and He would begin to speak to me.

Ministers who do not hear from God will struggle because hearing from God makes ministering easy. God will tell you what and what not to do so that you wont waste your time and resources. For example, if I want to host a crusade in a particular location, I would ask Him, “Daddy, should I go?” If He says, “No,” then I know that going there would be a waste of time. Some ministers go to minister in different places without hearing from God first. However, when they suffer all kinds of hardships and unnecessary persecutions, they will claim that they are suffering for Jesus.

Some will say that since the Bible instructs believers to preach the gospel to all nations, they will build a church in a particular location, even though they did not ask God about it and He did not specifically instruct them to. At the end of the day, they might end up lacking the required funds to run the church and they will begin to look for people they can manipulate into giving them money.
Beloved, hearing from God and obeying His voice will always keep you at the center of His plan and provision. Even when things get difficult, as long as you are operating in His will, He will carry you through.

Consistently create an atmosphere for Him to operate in your life, and He will always lead you into higher realms of His grace and glory.

KEY POINT
God will always speak to you when you know how to stir His Spirit in you.

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

MESSAGE

Yesterday, I mentioned that during the dispensation of the Father in the Old Testament, people got immediate judgment for their sins.
The word ‘dispensation’ in this context means regime. The regime of God the Father on the earth was from the beginning to the day of Pentecost. The regime of the Son will be for a thousand years (Revelation 20:1-4). There will be absolute peace during that period because the Prince of Peace will be in charge. Right now, however, we are in the regime of the Holy Spirit, which started on the day of Pentecost and is still on to date.

To prosper in a particular regime, you must understand and obey the people in charge. The One who is currently in charge of the affairs of men is the Holy Spirit. Therefore, to succeed in all things, you must know the Holy Spirit and be intimate with Him.
Being intimate with the Holy Spirit does not mean that you are downgrading or ignoring the Son or the Father. In today’s memory verse, Jesus said that the Holy Spirit will glorify Him and show us things concerning Him. Once you become intimate with the Holy Spirit, you will praise God the Father the way you should, glorify the Son the right way, pray the right way, and study God’s word the right way. When you become a friend of the Holy Spirit, you have automatically become a friend of the Trinity.

You can become intimate with the Holy Spirit by speaking His language often and asking Him to fill you. It is important to note that being able to perform miracles is not evidence that a fellow is intimate with the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:16-17 says that the flesh and the spirit are always in constant battle against each other. A fellow has become intimate with the Holy Spirit when he or she no longer walks in the flesh but according to the dictates of the Spirit. The people around such a fellow will testify to it when they start seeing the fruit of the Spirit at work in him or her.

Jesus said in Matthew 7:16-20 that you will know a tree by the kind of fruit it produces. If the Holy Spirit is indeed your friend, you will produce good fruits that confirm your intimacy with Him.
Beloved, cultivate an intimate fellowship with the Holy Spirit; He will protect and preserve you. He will also ensure that you prosper in all that you do.

REFLECTION

Are you intimate with the Holy Spirit?

HYMN 27: WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS

1 What a friend we have in Jesus,
all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
all because we do not carry
everything to God in prayer!

2 Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
take it to the Lord in prayer!
Can we find a friend so faithful
who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
take it to the Lord in prayer!

3 Are we weak and heavy laden,
cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge--
take it to the Lord in prayer!
Do your friends despise, forsake you?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In his arms he'll take and shield you;
you will find a solace there.

PRAYERS
1. Father, I thank You for the revelation of Your nature as the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Thank You for the truth that You are One God yet expressed in three distinct Persons, each fully God, in Jesus' name (1 John 5:7).

2. Oh Lord, I thank You for the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit (The Trinity) that is available to me. I pray that this fullness of Your presence will continually abide with me, in Jesus' name (2 Corinthians 13:14).

3. Father, I worship You in Your fatherly capacity. I ask for the grace to walk in holy fear and reverence of You, recognizing Your power and righteous judgment, and to surrender fully to Your will, in Jesus' name.

4. Lord Jesus Christ, I thank You for coming to earth in the flesh to be relatable and to advocate for me before the Father. I pray that as I face temptations, I will always run to You, my reliable and faithful High Priest, in Jesus' name (Hebrews 4:15, 1 John 2:1).

5. Holy Spirit, You are the creative, empowering side of God. I pray that You will constantly live in me, quicken my mortal body, and empower me to do all things that are otherwise impossible, in Jesus' name (Romans 8:11, Philippians 4:13).

6. I pray for a deeper, personal knowledge of the Trinity. Let the veil be lifted from my understanding so I can experience and enjoy Your fullness—as the loving Father, as the relatable Son, and as the ever-present, empowering Spirit, in Jesus' name (Key Point).

10. My personal prayer point: (Mention any specific area where you need the distinct manifestation of the Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit—e.g., the Father's discipline, the Son's advocacy, or the Spirit's creative power.)

11. Thank You, Father, for hearing my prayers. I declare that the fullness of the Godhead dwells in me bodily, and I am complete in Him, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen!

Lord Jesus, I come to You with a deeply repentant heart, please, forgive me and wash all my sins away with your precious blood shed at Calvary. I surrender my life to you, today, and, I accept You, as my personal Lord and Saviour. Please, come into my life and save my soul from eternal damnation.
