If Nigeria had been a lawful country that obeyed it's own laws, Simon Ekpa would have been handed over to Nigeria since the last time they arrested him in Finland last year.

With buffoons Kekere-Ekun running our justice system and the politicians like Wike and co. buying judgements like Akara and bread, no serious advanced country will hand over a political pugitive to Nigeria in the guise of terrorism. Look at the MNK case, about a 100 adjournments plus 100 court orders. None obeyed. Even the FG does not respect court orders.

Nigeria's self-inflicted judicial buffoonery is the reason why Ekpa will remain a free man. I said it the other day that as much as I want Ekpa repatriated, Nigeria does not pass the litmus test of having a respected justice system that is dependable. Your courts are heavily tribalised, nepotistic and corrupt.

They sell judgement to the highest bidders, that's why empty nincompoops like Wike remain politically relevant when they should be running motor parks like agberos and urchins. Even his wife was appointed Court of Appeal judge the other day.

Simon will be mocking Tinubu and Nigeria before 10pm today, with 'ntoor'. Too bad.

If he was a professor of Federal University Gusau in 2015, why did he accept a promotion to associate professor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University in 2021? Besides, being a visiting professor does not mean one is a professor.

Dr Tunji Alausa, this scandal is your first major litmus test. The professor needs to be arrested and put on trial. The reputation of the university system is at stake here.

You people don't do your research properly. Dr Tunji Alausa is meddling because the other contestant is a medical doctor who does not even have a 9 year old post-qualification PhD.

They are only intent on hanging Prof Odoh, so that a physician without the requisite qualification and experience can be VC. They are sponsoring smear campaigns and turning facts upside down to achieve their aim.

Other professions also do fellowships, but physicians want their fellowships to be recognised as equivalent to PhDs.

I don’t understand this news in any way. Once a panel of appeal court justices give judgement in a matter, are they not supposed to be dissolved? Is the panel supposed to exist forever?

Do we need sensational stories like this to make any point? Is Wike the president of the court of appeal?

If Nigeria had always obeyed it own human right laws, other countries would have trusted it with extraditing fugitives..

Ekpa will fight tooth and nail against extradition and would most likely succeed, because Nigeria has a terrible record with how it treats it's political crime suspects. The Nnamdi Kanu case where over 100 adjournments has been done to keep him in DSS custody (not even the Correctional facility) will be in the fore of Ekpa's argument against Nigeria, and he will likely win.

Ekpa will likely be set free in Finland or at worse go to one of those Scandinavian prisons that looks like hotels and continue his shenanigans. Too bad that Nigeria's bad records will work against bringing Ekpa to justice.
