Can one go with indomie onion flavour?

chrisj2:
Why are people so particular about Nja foods? Whatever you bring with you will be eaten and finished...

There are all sorts of foods in the UK and many many combinations that are far better than our over reliance on carbohydrates and too much meats...

Moreover, there are African or Asian shops where many items can be bought. Yes, they are more expensive than if purchased in Nja but if you have to pay as an individual not seller or wholesaler to transport food then you might not be better off. And those Nja customs and immigration like to form about foods - bribery and even confiscation at times; at a time one is stressed out.

Kids clothes especially Nja attire will be outgrown and rarely worn unless one is the church type but even so, people wear western clothes to shop.

They sell Maggi here or just buy other types of stock cubes. Panla, dried ponmo, fish, drinks like five alive and so on and so forth - not necessary...

Nja attires so go out of fashion in a year or two...

Sensible shopping, using charity shops (same thing as 'graded' dey plenty... And they will be so cheap after lockdown has ended because people have been clearing out and will go out and spend spend.

If you all have 46 kg, then how can you be 70kg over as a student. Forget your Nja books unless really relevant to your course but we get second hand ones too...

Start enjoyed your packed food before you leave Nja. Thank me later!

If you check the thread, I had a similar issue. Mine was refused on the 4th of February.

Really sorry, trust me I know the pain. It is a waiting game but the first step is to contact the school which you have done. Considering the funds is not available to you again, I think an administrative review will be best.

Also request your school to send you an invoice that states your outstanding fees. You might need that document as supporting documents for your AR.

Okelity2812:
Here is my issue; i was refused visa on the financial grounds. UKVI refused me visa stating that i'm supposed to have an a closing account balance of 20006pounds, but that is not the case by my calculation my account balance should be 15306 pounds.
Here is how i arrived my conclusion; my school fees is 14000 of which i paid 6000 and was given a discount of 4700 by the school which amounts to 10700 pounds and a balance of 3300 pounds to be paid to the school. it should be noted that i am aware of 12006 living expenses and as a result of which i had a balance of 17004 in my bank statement.
My CAS only showed that 6000 was paid by me and failed to mention the 4700pounds discount that was given to me(i didn't know it was supposed to reflect on my CAS). UKVI refused me visa saying that i can apply for administrative review. i complained about the decision to my school and they said they'll look into it and carry out proper investigation. however, my fear is that i dont know if the school will write to UKVI saying they made mistake on my CAS or will they ask me to apply for again of which another bank statement will be required, i no longer posses such funds in my account . please i'd like to know if someone has experienced something similar and what my next course of action should be

Thank you.

Please do you advice I re-apply or wait for the decision on AR. Honestly I don't wish to wait for 2 - 3months because I have started my program online.

Also how does my refusal affect the decision of my reapplication if I decide to take that route?

hosey:

1. You could have included scholarship letter.
2. Your school should have put the total fees as 17300 pounds and not 24,300 pounds.

They should have discounted it themselves and reflected it in CAS.

The visa guys dont have time to read so dont just assume.

You should put all documents and explain it succintly in your cover letter. Your cover letter should be in front of your bank statement so they dont miss it.

Good luck in your administrative review.

Yes, I think? I have attached a portion of my application form. Kindly assist me if there is an issue. Below is the fee for better understanding

My total tuition is £24,300
My discounted tuition is £17,300
I have paid £7,600
Balance is £9,700

mimilyrics:
Did you include the scholarship on your application form? You might have indicated the wrong tuition balance on your application.

The reason prompted me to look at my CAS again to see if I missed anything. I noticed the stated sentence of the scholarship but then I now realised that maybe if the school had given a discounted tuition fee expressly, it would have been a different situation.

Thanks. I hope they rectify it soon

omopapa:
Did you realise only after the refusal?

You have done the right thing by applying for a review and hopefully they will rectify the error.

Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 5 by damilaare(m): 2:13pm On Feb 08, 2021
I did not include because 1. It was not part of the requested document on my CAS 2. It was stated on my CAS.

My school used the wording "Student has been given an unconditional scholarship of £7,000" but wrote below the total tuition and amount I have paid.

I am not sure who to blame, whether the uni that did not put the discounted fee or the decision officer that chose to ignore the wording.

I am only hoping I can get review as soon as possible

hosey:

Sorry about that. But did you include the scholarship letter document with your application?

Also your school should have just put the discounted tuition fee in CAS.

Dear Nairalanders,

I need your urgent advice. I did my biometrics on 1st Feb and paid for a priority service. On the 4th of Feb, I got a mail that my student visa application has been refused. The reason stated was that I did not provide sufficient funds as my total fees (tuition and living) is £25k and I provided £19k. Immediately I realised that the difference is my tuition discount (7k scholarship). This scholarship was stated on my CAS and I am disappointed that my application was refused.

I am eligible for an application review. I have done that (Feb5) pointing out the issue backed with additional evidence. I have followed the thread and realised that the review can take up to 3months which gets me upset the more. My question is, will my priority service be considered for the review. Also, I have not gotten a mail to pick up my passport. Will I be contacted for it or until after the review?

Yes, I did not see anything like "download evidence of document upload". But i heard i will need evidence of document upload (or receipt) that I will take to TLS for my biometric appointment.

Good day Nairalanders,

Please I need your help.

I did the self upload option on the TLS website. I was not able to download the receipt of document upload. Honestly did not see a tab to download the receipt at the time and I have checked again and cannot find anything. Can anyone advise how I can get this?.

Thank you

Please I need help about the tuberclosis test.

I did the test in September as i was scheduled to start my program at a specific school. Due to Covid19 and possible online class I deferred the offer. Now I got another school for January (with scholarship) and i noticed that my tuberclosis test had the previous school as "Address in the UK". Can I make use of the test result (less than 6months) or I have to do another test.

Please I will appreciate help from the gurus in the house. Thank you
