Today I was asked this life challenging question and I will like to share it with you also. The writer asked;

"Do you know :- wife for Isaac (Gen. 24:11-67), Jacob (Gen 29:1-29), and Moses (Ex. 2:15-21) were all found at wells. What's the mystery behind that?"

I cannot interpret mysteries but I have a father who is the revealer of all mysteries, therefore I got a little interpretation from the Revealer.

THE WELL

The mystery of the well can be interpreted into two major part which are very important in a sustainable and glorious marriage.

First is the moral lesson about the well.

The construction of the well during this period was a bit farther to the city due to the shepherds who water their flocks. Any woman/ lady who come that far to provide water for her household should to seen as a responsible, hardworking and homely person. No wonder the servant of Abraham prayed for a great sign which is a test of GREAT CHARACTER. Rebecca, the wife of Isaac(Gen.24:16-18), Rachel, the wife of Jacob(Gen.29:6-9), Zipporah, the wife of Moses(Ex.2:15-21) were not just virgins, consecrated, pure but they were also ladies of GREAT CHARACTER which made them VIRTOUS WOMEN. They weren't idle, jobless, flirt, lazy and ineffective, they gave themselves to much responsibilities and hospitality.

The moral is : "Stop praying for the right partner, make yourself right first, the right person will locate you ".

The Spiritual perspective:

The well in spiritual term refers to Christ who is called the the well/fountain of the living spring, the living water, water of life, water of salvation. The encounter of Jesus Christ with the Samaritan woman beside the well of Jacob in John 4 gives a clearer understanding. The well have 3 perspectives:

1. Coming to the well signifies coming to Christ for remission of sins, salvation, cleanliness, purification, sanctification and for solace.

2. Drawing from the well signifies listening, learning, meditating, studying the life of Christ for one to have the mind of Christ (1Cor.2:16)

3. Staying with and in the well springing forth eternal water signifies having a relationship and communion with Jesus Christ in order for us to be in Him and Him in us.

A man/ woman who draws regularly from this well is not just responsible, hardworking, hospitable but also God-fearing, virtuous, holy and faithful in her dealings with the WATER OF LIFE (Pro.31:30).

Therefore don't just pick any partner, pick from the WELL DWELLERS.

5.0. Period for the repayment of the loan:
a) For micro business, it is a maximum of one year
b). For small and medium enterprises, it is a maximum of three years
