RomanceAdvice: I Don't Know How To Break Up With My Girlfriend Without Hurting Her Bad by dammyjay93(op): 6:32am On Aug 04, 2015
Hello people, I'm really in a hell of a situation right now. I've been dating this girl for about 2 years and we're both in our 20's. Truth be told I love her, I really do, but over time its getting intimate and by the day she's getting more n more attached to me and although I love her I'm not a long term reltnshp kinda guy as this is d first reltnshp I've had that lasted this long. Recently I tried breaking up and it was catastrophic she was broken n cried on me n all stuff cos she was "over attached", I felt really bad n tried to make up things. She asked me "where I saw myself wt her in d future?" But the truth is I don't even know what d future holds for me nt to talk of planning for two. I feel stuck between breaking up and damning all to be with her tho I know if after being with her for a number of years and something happens its gonna break her completely and be a set-back. Pls I need mature and honest advices. Cc tosyne2much EroticAngelina farano Ishilove

Science/TechnologyTop 5: Countries With The Fastest Internet Speeds In The World by dammyjay93(op): 5:21pm On May 08, 2015
Whether you’re a serious location independent entrepreneur, running a local business, or just a casual surfer, slow internet is a pain.
Heck, it’s bad for business.
As a perpetual traveler, I occasionally get stuck in a hotel with poor internet speeds, which causes me great frustration. However, internet around the world is typically much better than you think – and even emerging countries have some of the fastest internet speeds. Studies have determined which countries have the fastest internet speeds.
While Americans often make fun of other countries for their allegedly lesser service offerings, the United States does not rank on this list of countries with the fastest internet speeds. In fact, Asia and eastern Europe dominate the list. To learn how the US ranks, read on…

Top 5 Countries with the fastest internet speeds in the world

5. Latvia
Mark down another reason to prefer smaller countries: faster internet. Latvia is more than just a great place to live or start a business. Due to its relatively small size, Latvia had an easy time piping fast internet out to most of the country. While some eurozone countries are barely meeting the global average, Latvia defies its image as a developing country (albeit an advanced one) by providing some of the fastest internet speeds in Europe. In fact, no country in wealthier western Europe beat them. Neighboring Lithuania also performs relatively well.
South Korea has some of the world's fastest internet speeds
Despite dropping a few spots, South Korea still has some of the world’s fastest internet speeds

4. South Korea
South Korea has dropped a few spots from its previous number-two ranking. However, the country still boasts some of the world’s fastest internet, including speeds 65% faster than the United States. South Korea is also one of the most aggressive countries in targeting gigabit speeds for its internet users. Freedom House suggests that despite these high speeds, internet users are not completely free when surfing in South Korea, suggesting bloggers have been arrested as internet freedom in general declines worldwide.

3. Romania
Don’t judge this country by its less advanced neighbors such as Moldova. Romania is Europe’s emerging internet hosting destination, with plenty of companies setting up their web host in this eastern European jurisdiction to benefit from super-fast speed and affordable labor costs. Romania has some of the world’s fastest download speeds, with an average of 47.9 megabits per second; in fact, it recorded the worlds single fastest download earlier in 2013.
Serious internet users can access speeds up to 200 megabits per second in Romania. While every household in the EU can get internet access, Romanians have an 85% penetration rate for in-home internet access.

2. Japan
Would you expect any less from tech-savvy Japan? High-speed fiber optics run throughout the country, enabling some of the world’s fastest internet speeds. Peak speeds in Japan are nearly triple the global average for internet users. But the country known for its human-like robots and other cutting-edge technology isn’t content with its current speeds – not by a long shot.
Japan is one of the countries working on 100Gbps internet using advanced “optical packet switching technology”. For now, one Japanese internet provider is offering 2Gbps speeds – twice the pace of Google Fiber – for about $50 a month. That makes it the world’s fastest commercially available internet service.

1. Hong Kong
Hong Kong is no slouch when it comes to providing top-notch services to its tech-savvy residents. That’s why it’s no surprise that the hyper-dense Special Administrative Region of China dominates the list of countries with fastest internet speeds. In fact, it was the first country to break the 60Mbps speed barrier. Hong Kong’s average speed of 64 megabits per second is more than triple the global average.
I can speak to this myself. Earlier this year, I downloaded an entire hourlong TV episode from iTunes in just 86 seconds (yeah, I timed it).
Internet speeds in Hong Kong increased as much as 29% over the previous year, as well. It’s all thanks to Hong Kong’s commitment to “Fiber To The Home” service and companies’ use of aggressive high-speed internet pricing.
How do internet speeds in the United States compare? In case you’re still wondering, the United States ranked eleventh on the overall list of countries with fastest internet speeds. That’s an improvement from fourteenth in a previous year, with the 36 megabit-per-second speed clocking at almost double the global average.
However, experts say US internet service is “overpriced and slow” among tech-savvy nations. At least US internet speeds aren’t as slow as those in the Congo, which suffers from the world’s slowest download speeds, at just 13Kbps. Somebody go back to 1996 and get those guys a 56K modem grin grin. (They are, however, making progress.)
Have you had a positive (or negative) experience with internet speeds while traveling or living abroad? Share it in the comments below.

Lot of parents love to be god over their children, setting rules & regulations dat don't follow in the modern world & as Africans we've got no choice than to obey.

These regulations affect both gender but varies from family to family.

What are some annoying & unacceptable rules parents should never set.

Do these rules affect females or males the most?

Webmasters13 Google Tricks That Will Change The Way You Search by dammyjay93(op): 7:58am On Dec 10, 2014
Google Search’s learning curve is an odd one. You use it every day, but still all you know is how to search. But the search engine has plenty of tricks up its sleeve.
Here’s an overview of some of the most useful Google search tricks, from basic tips to new features just recently released.

1. Use quotes to search for an exact phrase.
This one’s a well-known, simple trick: searching a phrase in quotes will yield only pages with the same words in the same order as what’s in the quotes. It’s one of the most vital search tips, especially useful if you’re trying to find results containing a specific a phrase.

2. Use an asterisk within quotes to specify unknown or variable words.
Here’s a lesser known trick: searching a phrase in quotes with an asterisk replacing a word will search all variations of that phrase. It’s helpful if you’re trying to determine a song from its lyrics, but you couldn’t make out the entire phrase (e.g. “imagine all the * living for today”), or if you’re trying to find all forms of an expression (e.g. “* is thicker than water”).

3. Use the minus sign to eliminate results containing certain words.
You’ll want to eliminate results with certain words if you’re trying to search for a term that’s generating a lot of results that aren’t of interest to you. Figure out what terms you’re not interested in (e.g. jaguar -car) and re-run the search.

4. Search websites for keywords.
Think of the “site:” function as a Google search that searches only a particular website. If you want to see every time TIME.com mentioned Google, use the search “Google site: TIME.com”.

5. Search news archives going back to the mid-1880s.
Google News has an option to search over 100 years’ worth of archived newsfrom newspapers around the world.

6. Compare foods using “vs.”
Can’t decide between a burger or pizza for dinner? Type in “rice vs. quinoa,” for example, and you’ll receive side-by-side comparisons of the nutritional facts.

7. Filter search results for recipes.
If you search your favorite food, and then click “Search Tools” right under the search bar, you’ll be able to filter recipes based on ingredients, cook time and calories. It’s the perfect tool if you have certain dietary restrictions.

8. Use “DEFINE:” to learn the meaning of words—slang included.
Streamline the dictionary process by using, for example, “DEFINE: mortgage.” For words that appear in the dictionary, you’ll be able to see etymology and a graph of its use over time alongside the definition. Google will even sift the web to define slang words or acronyms. Try out “DEFINE: bae” or “DEFINE: SMH”.

9. Tilt your screen by searching “tilt.”
This is one of the fun additions built in by Google engineers. Try it out yourself (search without quotes).

10. Play AtariBreakoutby searching it on Google Images.
The legendary brick breaker game is available for easy access on Google. Just search “Atari Breakout” (without quotes) on Google Images and enjoy.

11.Search images using images.
Ever come across a photo that looks strangely familiar? Or if you want to know where it came from? If you save the image, and then search it on Google Images (with the camera button), you’ll be able to see similar images on the web.

12. Press the mic icon on Google’s search bar, and say “flip a coin” or “heads or tails.”
The feature released last month lets Google flip a coin for you when you don’t have one on hand.

13. Press the mic icon on Google’s search bar, and say “give me a love quote” or “I love you.”
The love quote generator is also a feature released last month for those in need of a little romance.

It’s not always fair to use labels to describe people, but sometimes, they just fit. See how many of these Evil Eleven work at your organization. They can try your patience, kill your morale, and even put you at risk of harm, if you don’t use your experience, intuition, and wits to outmaneuver them.

THE BULLY

Behaviors: Uses verbal or physical intimidation, by being overly-aggressive in meetings and conversations. They use their rank, status, size, or tone to demean others. Men and women can be bullies, as bosses or co-workers.

Reasons: Lots of behind-the-scenes reasons, often from a horrible childhood. Their poor self-esteem masks their fears. Plus, it’s worked for them before.
Ways to Cope: Gather specific examples for your boss or for HR. Stand up for yourself early and often. Don’t get steamrolled or become fearful in their presence.

THE IDEA KILLER

Behaviors: These types use lots of sarcasm, especially during meetings. The trouble with them is their internal monologues become external.

Reasons: They’re burned out, frustrated with their peers or bosses. They won’t admit they have poor job status and no ability to advance. It’s a learned behavior from their family and peers.

Ways to Cope: If you’re the boss, use coaching with examples to tell them to stop these public displays of their disgruntled nature. If you’re a co-worker, ignore them or use peer pressure to get them to be quiet by saying other people have the right to their opinions without being criticized.

THE SMART SLACKER

Behaviors: Knows how to work hard; just doesn’t want to. Missing on Duty or Retired on Duty. Works only when it helps him or her. The worst is when they teach other employees to slack.

Reasons: Burned out, dissatisfied, topped out, not enough job challenges, wants to retire but can’t afford to. Frustrated, misses the “good old days,” with “better” bosses, co-workers, policies, or an easy-slack culture.

Ways to Cope: If you’re a boss, coach them and use their “legacy employee” status to remind them of their responsibilities. If you’re a co-worker, provide your boss with specific examples where they aren’t pulling their weight. If it gets rough, ignore them and focus on your own success.

THE HARASSER

Behaviors: Uses physical, verbal, sexual, or racially harassing jokes, comments, gestures, or behaviors. They create a hostile work environment using intimidation, power, fear, humiliation, and embarrassment.

Reasons: Learned behavior; past behaviors that have worked; their need to keep people one-down to them. They’re either stupidly unaware or don’t care about gender, cultural, or diversity differences.

Ways to Cope: You have the right to work in a harassment-free environment and your organization has a legal duty to protect you and enforce harassment prevention policies. Don’t be afraid to report examples to your boss or HR; don’t give up your personal power.

THE TATTLETALE

Behaviors: This one runs to “mom or dad” (the boss) for small things; loves to drop hints about co-workers not doing their jobs to management; ruins any fun in the office. Creates bad feelings everywhere they go.

Reasons: Secretly envious or jealous; may use this as a strategy to get ahead of others or promote, but it’s more about not feeling good about themselves.

Ways to Cope: These people are surprised when they get the silent treatment from co-workers or don’t get asked out with the group for drinks after work. Watch what you say around them but be professional and don’t retaliate.

THE PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE

Behaviors: Kings and Queens of behind-the-scenes manipulations, guilt, and diversion. They act wounded when you call them out for missing deadlines, not doing their work and blaming others. Master manipulators who redirect blame.

Reasons: Learned during childhood to exert control over situations where they felt no power.

Ways to Cope: Realize when you leave them after they whine and complain about how and why they can’t finish their work, if you feel bad about it or it seems like your fault, they won. Don’t rise to their bait.

THE CHAMPION

Behaviors: Loves to point out all the injustices, problems, and conflicts in the workplace. Runs to the boss or HR, often with petty complaints about others that really have no merit.

Reasons: They define themselves as entitled whistleblowers and defenders of what’s right.

Ways to Cope: If you’re the boss, focus on their poor work performance and not their constant complaints that you’re allowing things to fall apart. Use progressive discipline and performance improvement plans. If you’re a co-worker, tell them to mind their own business, do their job, and leave you alone to do yours.

THE GOSSIP

Behaviors: Talks about everyone else to everyone else, whether they want to hear it or not. Can create cliques, team conflicts, and the silent treatment among co-workers. Great at ruining marriages, relationships, and friendships.

Reasons: Bored, not enough to work to do, angry at certain people and uses gossip to sabotage personal or marital relationships

Ways to Cope: Watch what you say around them. Set little traps to see if what you told them gets back to the person you mentioned. If you’re a boss, coach them into compliance.

THE SUBSTANCE ABUSER

Behaviors: Attendance problems, accidents, conflicts with co-workers and bosses, appearance and health concerns. Worst case: Theft issues, arrests.

Reasons: Starts with home or health problems and escalates to at-work drug or alcohol use.

Ways to Cope: Keep your money and property away from these people. Workplace alcoholics miss work; workplace dopers steal from their employer and co-workers. If you’re a boss, use your company’s “reasonable suspicion” testing process and response policies.

THE PSYCHOPATH

Behaviors: Lying, hurting, and manipulating people for their own benefit. No empathy for others. Smooth like a snake and just as dangerous.

Reasons: They were born this way and they’re nearly impossible to treat with therapy or manage at work.

Ways to Cope: Limit your interactions, don’t give out too many personal details about your life, and keep your guard up.

THE NARCISSIST

Behaviors: The world revolves around them and their egos are on display at all times. They are overly-sensitive to being slighted, ignored, or not praised. They see themselves as superior.

Reasons: Hard to know, harder to treat with therapy or coaching. It’s often a defense mechanism for their self-esteem and insecurities. They don’t feel worthy.

Ways to Cope: Give them praise when they deserve it and feedback when they need it. Be aware of how they feel wounded if you don’t gush over every little thing they do. Don’t let them talk down to you.
