They give fuel consumption data that MAY be achievable in 100% optimum operating conditions - no gradients, headwinds, traffic, tyres that have very little friction to create drag etc.

Even the indicated fuel range is very difficult to achieve. Fill up your tank, and the range may show 500 miles with a 55 litre tank. I can guarantee you're unlikely to achieve that magical figure.

It's impossible to have all those factors, just as it is impossible to have 100% fuel combustion. Maybe in another 500 years, but for now, no.

The calculated method as shown by the thread starter remains the MOST reliable method of knowing what mpg any vehicle is capable of.[/color]

I have tested it several times under different circumstances, traffic, no traffic (may be travelling ) etc and in all this occasion, it is accurate.

My car tells me how many hours i have been running my engine which i reset after every full tank.

So don't argue with me on this.

It monitors everything 'monitorable' including telling me when one of my tire pressure reduces by 1 unit, oil life and what else have you and it is 100% very accurate.

The method by the Op is the most accurate way to measure your average mpg.

You don't know what i drive and i don't want to mention it here but trust me, I bought fuel several times and tracked it and can tell you that it is 100% accurate.

Please, read and analyse before you comment. The issues observed are:
1. You are not warned as a Nigerian not to buy tickets without a sponsor. The website has a flat statement on providing visa to Quatar
2. You become aware at the next phase. I would have thought you souldn't buy the ticket without evidence of a sponsor
3. Other countries are listed except Nigeria. If we have no value, why fly from Nigeria?
4. Why sign an agreement with a country that does not even see you as an equal amongst fellow Africans? It looks like a loose-win agreement.
