Not so. There's nothing wrong with PHP except for the ignorant perception by the Nigerian market which is still an infant industry. PHP does the job as well as any other server side programming language. And PHP is getting more powerful and much faster by the day.

PHP resources are very cheap and too many to come by. The adverse effect is that you will come across many quacks who modify a template and feels they are also programmers until a requirement specific to a domain comes and they discover that there is more to life of a programmer than ADD, DELETE , INSERT and UPDATING the DB with a page and script generation tools.

If you are in school and preparing for the Market and you want a steady rise and impact in all the major sectors. PHP alone cannot take you there.
