Hi everyone, earlier in the year I got my student visa(thanks to this thread ) but I couldn't go because registration had ended before I got the visa. I got in touch with the HOD and he told me to come over in January and submit application for re-admission. So, hopefully I'll be going by January.

However I'd like to know what exactly, like papers I'd need to hold along to the airport while going,

then BTA issue, I heard it isn't a good idea to hold dollars, but to wait until u get over there and withdraw from an ATM.

Thanks

Morning House, Please I need advice ooh, I applied for a study permit, I got it over, However by the time i got the visa, (a year and a half), Registration had closed in the school. So the school said i had to wait till January.
1. Will the visa still be valid by January?
2. Do i need another admission letter from the school?

@TYPOP, pls, does it mean they will start accepting from monday, the 3rd of june?!
TYPOP: Sorry if anybody has been mislead by my post above. @all, let's try to verify information ourselves before we decide. Reading on this forum, I was totally discouraged that the application was CLOSED.

I can inform this whole house that the High Commission in Abuja will start receiving applications for the second semester admission in June and they will stop doing so by July ending. So, if you got the second semester admission, you will still get your visa. I was there yesterday and they gave me the BI-1738 and the medical clearance forms to fill. I will fill the medical clearance form at the Wuse General Hospital today.

Cheers all as we attempt to help others and make lives better for ourselves as well.

Zzzalexzzz: Hello Friends;

Pls i am trying to book for my Flight Ticket(South Africa Airways). I was planning to book a return ticket for about 300days since i cant book a return ticket for more than a year. My plan was to extend the ticket when the return date is close by, BUT i someone just told me that the return date can't be extended and selling the ticket in south africa may not be easy or possible....

Please whats the best solution in this scenario....My Study permit is up to 2yrs and i am not planning on coming back till then.

Thanks for your urgent response.

hi @collinsfbi i recently got an admission into TUT, Soshanguve, and i'm about to apply for my study permit, however i have a few questions. I am a web developer, part of my reason of trying to go over to SA to broaden my horizon and learn more. I would like to know if it was possible for me to get a job as a web developer over there. My class will be only during weekends and as such, i would have a lot of time on my hands.

Also concerning the medical insurance, how do i get a south african medical insurance when i'm still in nigeria. Or is it that i get it over there.

Thanks in anticipation for your response
