Life is about improving ones self , MSC is a great achievement , the world is aware of this , just that Nigeria is in a mess . But that shouldn’t limit you from improving urself . U might be among the large amount of lucky ones , cause I hv a lot of people who their degree hv helped in getting promotions and good pay. They ain’t just on this thread . with N500K, U can set up a mini commercial feed mill that produces 1 ton feed per hour
with N500k, you may not be able to do any meaningful commercial poultry business worth the time and energy invested into it.

poultry business is more tasking, more capital intensive, more stressing and riskier than feed millling
poultry products such as eggs are in high demand on daily basis and all year round.
poultry business is lucrative if you are knowledgeably informed about what it takes to do it and get it right
the power requirements on a poultry farm is much lower than in a feed milling business

feed milling is lucrative if you have an excellent or quality nutritional formulation and can produce at cheaper rates than the other competitors
there is high demand for poultry feeds especially quality feeds at cheaper rates
feed milling business requires constant power supply and may require use of electricity generators running on diesel which may likely lead to higher costs of production

I need more contributions from more agroprenures. But I will prefer to start with feedmill industry,because of the intense capital involved, and series of stages involved in starting a poultry farm. Thanks as you drop ur views...

Hello nlders, i jst finished NYSC. But I've already been fully trained on poultry. I stayed on the poultry farm for good three months. After this i went for another training in a sound feedmill for another 3 months to know how feeds are compounded and formulated. Bt the problm is that I'm confused to choose which one to start with because I'm jst a novice in agricultural sector, and also a starter in terms of entrepreneurship. Pls my ogas in the house i need ur kind advices. Thanks in anticipation... #criticisms are also welcomed.
