Foreign Affairs › IDF Admits It'll Be Fighting Hamas Insurgency In Gaza For 5 Years by Dandal(op): 7:02am On Jul 08, 2024 |
Israel is planning for a long insurgency against Hamas, saying it expects Hamas to still exist in five years, but it said the group is no longer capable of perpetrating an Oct. 7-style attack.
"Will you and me be talking five years from now about Hamas as a terror organization in Gaza? The answer is yes," Israel Defense Forces spokesman Daniel Hagari told ABC News.
Hagari is the first Israeli official to publicly admit that the insurgency will be long and difficult, in stark contrast to the bombast of Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who continues to vow the quick destruction of Hamas.
Gaza, and even to some degree Hezbollah, are "perpetual wars" distracting Israel from what he called their main enemy, Iran, a senior Israeli official told ABC News.

Foreign Affairs › Implications Of Iranian Defeat Of Us-israel Missile Defense Architecture by Dandal(op): 10:07pm On Apr 16, 2024 |
The Iranian defeat of the US-Israeli missile defense architecture has global security consequences.
The world’s attention has, rightfully so, been focused on the fallout from Iran’s retaliatory strike against Israel on April 13-14, 2024. Iran’s purpose in launching the attack was to establish a deterrence posture designed to put Israel and the United States on notice that any attack against Iran, whether on Iranian soil or on the territory of other nations, would trigger a retaliation which would inflict more damage on the attacker than the attacker could hope to inflict on Iran. To achieve this result, Iran had to prove itself capable of overcoming the ballistic missile defense systems of both Israel and the United States which were deployed in and around Israel at the time of the attack. This Iran was able to accomplish, with at least nine missiles striking two Israeli air bases that fell under the protective umbrella of the Israeli-US missile defense shield.
The Iranian deterrence posture has implications that reach far beyond the environs of Israel or the Middle East. By defeating the US-Israeli missile defense shield, Iran exposed the notion of US missile defense supremacy that serves as the heart of US force protection models used when projecting military power on a global scale. The US defensive posture vis-à-vis Russia, China, and North Korea hinges on assumptions made regarding the efficacy of US ballistic missile defense capabilities. By successfully attacking Israeli air bases which had the benefit of the full range of US anti-ballistic missile technology, Iran exposed the vulnerability of the US missile defense shield to modern missile technologies involving maneuverable warheads, decoys, and hypersonic speed. US bases in Europe, the Pacific and the Middle East once thought to be well-protected, have suddenly been revealed to be vulnerable to hostile attack. So, too, are US Navy ships operating at sea.
Israel’s ballistic missile defenses were given a supercharged boost by the deployment of an advanced AN/TPY-2 X band radar on Israeli soil. The radar, operated by the US Army’s 13th Missile Defense Battery, is located on Har Qeren, a height which rises out of the Negev Desert near the city of Be’er Sheva. The AN/TPY-2 is a missile defense radar that can detect, track and discriminate ballistic missiles, discriminating between threats and non-threats (i.e., incoming missiles and space debris).
The AN/TPY-2 operates in two different modes. The first, known as the “forward-based mode,” detects and tracks ballistic missiles as they are launched. The second—“terminal mode”—is used to guide interceptors toward a descending missile. The AN/TPY-2 is optimized to work with the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) ballistic missile defense system by guiding the THAAD missile to its target.
The US had deployed at least one, and possibly two, THAAD missile batteries to Israel at the time of the Iranian missile attack. In addition to assisting the THAAD missiles in shooting down incoming threats, the AN/TPY-2 radar data was integrated with Israeli radar data and other technical intelligence collected by the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization’s (BMDO) network of early warning satellites deployed for the sole purpose of monitoring and reporting Iranian ballistic missile launches. This integrated early warning/surveillance/tracking system was tied into a multi-layered missile defense architecture which included the US THAAD and Israeli Arrow 2, Arrow 3, advanced Patriot, and David’s Sling anti-ballistic missile interceptor systems.
Adding to the capability and lethality of the US-Israeli ballistic missile defense architecture was the presence of at least two US Navy ballistic missile defense (BMD) system-capable Aegis-class destroyers equipped with the SPY-1 S band radar and SM-3/SM-6 interceptor missiles. The Navy BMD-capable ships are configured to tie into the ground-based AN/TPY-2 X band radar as well as the broader BMD system through the Command and Control, Battle management, and Communications (C2BMC) system. The combination of ground-based radars and interceptors with the US Navy BMD system provides US military commanders with theater-wide protection from hostile ballistic missile threats. This integrated system is designed to detect, acquire, and track incoming threats and, using complex computer-drive algorithms, discriminate targets and destroy them using hit-to-kill kinetic warheads (i.e., a “bullet hitting a bullet”).
On April 13-14, 2023, this system failed. In short, the combination of US and Israeli anti-ballistic missile defense capabilities deployed in and around the Negev desert made the Israeli air bases located there the most protected locations in the world from threats posed by ballistic missiles.
And yet Iran successfully struck both locations with multiple missiles.
The global strategic implications of this stunning Iranian accomplishment are game-changing—the US has long struggled conceptually with the notion of what is referred to as “A2/AD” (anti-access/area denial) threats posed by hostile ballistic missiles. However, the US had sought to mitigate against this AA/A2 threat by overlaying theater ballistic missile defense architecture like that that had been employed in Israel. The failure of the combined US-Israeli defense systems in the face of a concerted Iranian missile attack exposed the short-comings of the US ballistic missile defense capabilities world-wide.
In short, this means that the US and NATO forces in Europe are vulnerable to attack from advanced Russian missile technologies which match or exceed those used by Iran to attack Israel. It also means that China would most likely be able to strike and sink US navy ships in the Pacific Ocean in the event of a conflict over Taiwan. And that North Korea could do the same to US ships and forces ashore in the vicinity of Japan and South Korea.
Until which time the US can develop, produce and deploy missile defense systems capable of defeating the new missile technology being deployed by nations like Iran, Russia, China, and North Korea, US military power projection capabilities are in a state of checkmate by America’s potential adversaries.[/b] https://www.scottritterextra.com/p/checkmate

Greystone: Precisely. Iran's aim was not to kill but to produce a visible spectacle to the world. Not a single soul was lost. Almost all the Irani missiles and drones were intercepted safely so why should Israel go on the offensive and kill Iranians? I doubt if Israel would have gone ahead with a counter strike against Iran under these circumstances even without US stance.
Iran demonstrated the willingness to engage and Israel and its allies showed their ability to thwart the aerial threats.
If there had been Israeli casualties, I'm sure Israel for serve Iran correct hot breakfast. Iran for don see shege danburo uba by now. These countries spent $1.2B to shoot down $68M worth of Iranian old missiles, their is a limit to how far they can go on defending Israel, and they know that without their help, Israel is no match for Iran missile capability. The message from Iran is loud and clear, hence the reason why Biden told Netanyahu to stand down. |

Foreign Affairs › Houthis Hits British Ship And Downed US Drone Over Yemen by Dandal(op): 9:30pm On Feb 19, 2024 |
The Houthi group says it hit a British cargo ship that is believed to be significantly damaged and shot down a US drone over its territory as the Yemeni group continued to target ships in the Red Sea demanding an end to Israel’s war on Gaza.
The Houthi claims of attacks come as the United States carried out five strikes in Yemen late on Saturday night as part of Washington’s military campaign after Houthi targeting of Israeli-linked vessels disrupted global trade passing through the Red Sea. Houthis have now expanded their attacks to include US and UK ships after the two countries launched strikes on the war-torn Arab nation.
The Rubymar cargo ship suffered “catastrophic damages and came to a complete halt” after being targeted in a military operation, said Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree in a televised address on Monday. “As a result of the extensive damage the ship suffered, it is now at risk of potential sinking in the Gulf of Aden. During the operation, we made sure that the ship’s crew exited safely.”
The British maritime security firm Ambrey confirmed that the Rubymar is a UK-registered, Belize-flagged and Lebanese-operated cargo ship that came under attack late on Sunday.
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) also confirmed the incident – without naming the ship – and said it took place some 35 nautical miles (65km) south of al-Makha (Mocha) in Yemen. “Military authorities report crew have abandoned the vessel. Vessel at anchor and all crew are safe,” it said. “Military authorities remain on scene to provide assistance”.
On Monday, Ambrey said another vessel, a US-owned and Greek-flagged bulk carrier had called for military assistance citing a “missile attack”. The UKMTO also confirmed the incident 100 nautical miles (185km) off Yemen’s Aden, with both sources reporting the vessel’s crew are safe.
The Houthi military also claimed to have downed a US-made MQ-9 Reaper attack drone over Yemen, which it said “was carrying out hostile missions against our country on behalf of the Zionist entity”.
The Pentagon acknowledged in November that an MQ-9 was shot down over the Red Sea. The Houthis, who seized power in Yemen’s capital Sanaa and the country’s north in 2014, possess surface-to-air missile systems capable of shooting down the advanced drones.
The Houthis, also known as Ansar Allah, had claimed a confirmed missile attack on a British oil tanker that the US identified as a Panamanian-flagged vessel carrying crude bound for India.

Not only has Israel reneged on its promised never to negotiate with Hamas, but also1) IDF is withdrawing from Gaza 2) Hamas is moving back into formerly occupied IDF positions in Gaza. 3) Hamas barrage of rockets into Israel has not ceased, but intensified. 4) Hamas Tunnels are pretty much still intact 5) Not a single Israeli hostage was freed by IDF, instead IDF shot on-sight 3 Israeli hostages and gassed 1, and 20 more died from IDF bombardments. 6) Israel has lost the propaganda war and global support for its cause. 7) Israel adversaries are more united and stronger than ever. Foreign Affairs › Israel Accepts Ceasefire Deal In Gaza Strip by Dandal(op): 4:59am On Feb 02, 2024 |
Qatari negotiators are awaiting a final response from Hamas officials, who have seemingly welcomed the plan
Israel has agreed to a ceasefire proposal that would halt its war with Hamas, Al Jazeera reported on Thursday, citing the Qatari Foreign Ministry. Hamas has reportedly given the plan a “positive” response.
The ceasefire plan was hashed out in Paris over the weekend, with Qatari and Egyptian diplomats mediating between Israel and the Palestinian militant group. Delegations from West Jerusalem and Gaza left the French capital promising to study the proposal and negotiate further this week, and by Thursday evening, a deal was apparently within reach.
“Israel agreed to the ceasefire proposal and we have initial positive confirmation from Hamas,” a spokesman for the Qatari Foreign Ministry said on Thursday evening, according to Al Jazeera. “We are awaiting their response,” the spokesman added.
The proposed ceasefire will be implemented in three stages, according to a Hamas statement shared with Reuters earlier this week. The first phase would see fighting stop for 40 days as Hamas hands over the female civilians, children, and elderly people it is still holding captive. During this time, large-scale deliveries of food and medicine into Gaza would resume. The following stages would see Hamas turn over captive Israeli soldiers and the bodies of Israeli troops, in exchange for further aid deliveries and the freeing of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails.
“Military operations on both sides will stop during the three stages,” the militants said, adding that the number of Palestinian prisoners freed would be open to negotiation.
The proposal falls short of the full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza that Hamas initially demanded. As a step toward ending the war, however, it also threatens Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan to keep fighting until Israel achieves “total victory” over the militants, as he has promised on multiple occasions.
While hardliners within Netanyahu’s cabinet have pressed him to reject any deal they view as too lenient towards Hamas, Israel has faced international condemnation over its conduct in Gaza, and two of the Jewish state’s most stalwart backers – the US and UK – suggested this week that they could soon recognize an independent Palestinian state. Such an outcome would be a political disaster for Netanyahu, who angered Washington and London last month when he outright rejected a two-state solution to the decades-long conflict with the Palestinians.

Under the continuous attacks of Hezbollah fighters and the heavy losses inflicted upon its units, the Israeli occupation army found itself obliged to withdraw troops from the northern settlements witnessed the Lebanese Resistance group’s operations.
The Israeli army decided to lower the number of troops stationed in northern Zionist settlements close to Lebanon border on Wednesday, according to Ynet. In support of the Palestinian people and resistance in Gaza and in light of the Israeli aggression on the various South Lebanon villages, the Islamic Resistance continued striking the Zionist occupation sites near Lebanon border.
Hezbollah military media issued consecutive statements to illustrate the attacks and their outcomes. Foreign Affairs › Massive Rockets Barrage Hits Israel After Idf Leaves Northern Gaza by Dandal(op): 1:53am On Jan 17, 2024 |
The Zionist aggression on Gaza proceeds for the day 102, with relentless Israeli air strikes targeting several areas across the besieged enclave and the resistance keeping up its operations, both to repel Israeli advance attempts and to launch rockets towards occupied territories.
Largest Rocket Barrage
Although 102 days have passed, and despite Israeli claims that the occupation army allegedly “dismantled Hamas’ battalion frameworks”, the Palestinian resistance fired the largest rocket barrage in several weeks. Both Palestinian and Israeli media reported that more than 50 rockets were fired from Gaza at the city of Netivot in the Gaza envelope. Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, claimed responsibility for the launch.
Videos circulated on social media showed rockets being fired from the Gaza Strip at the city. Another footage showed one of the rockets narrowly missing a group of Israeli settlers working in an open area.
t least 20 of the projectiles were intercepted by the Iron Dome over the area, while some rockets landed in Netivot and a nearby settlement, causing damage, Israeli media reported.
Israelis Alarmed
Following the rocket barrage, Israeli National Unity party minister Gideon Sa’ar called for convening the war cabinet.
Sa’ar said the body, of which he is an observer, “needs to discuss the continuation of the war in the Gaza Strip and the way it is being handled.”
“The reduction of the intensity and activities of the IDF in the Strip and the drawdown of forces there is a mistake,” Sa’ar said referring to IOF (Israeli occupation forces).
“We need to decide to increase the pressure on Hamas. We also need to decide that changes to the combat situation be based on advances and achieving goals and not a timetable,” he added, as quoted by The Times of Israel.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese media cited some Hebrew media outlets as slamming the Israeli military performance.
“Yesterday, a barrage of more than 10 rockets fell on Sderot. This morning, a barrage of 50 rockets fell on Netivot, all of them fired from northern Gaza. This is not how you win a war. This is exactly how we return to the situation that preceded the 7t of October, and you want the settlers to return to their homes?!,” Lebanese media quoted the Hebrew media as commenting on the continuous rocket launch from Gaza.
Confrontations and Israeli Casualties
Meanwhile, the Palestinian resistance groups announced their fighters have been engaged in ferocious clashes with occupation forces on several axes, with confrontations concentrating in Gaza city.
On Tuesday, Al-Qassam Brigades announced its fighters targeted two Israeli vehicles in Sheikh Radwan Neighborhood and near Tal Al-Hawa, both in Gaza city. The resistance group declared that the fighters employed Shawaz and Yassine-105 projectiles against the Israeli vehicles.
It also announced that its fighters fired heavy mortar rounds at gatherings of Israeli soldiers in Khan Younis.
For its part, the occupation army announced the death of an Israeli soldier and the injury of two other troops in the ongoing ground battles in Gaza. Later on Tuesday, the occupation army declared the death of another soldier, saying he was injured in Gaza battles earlier in later December.

Hamas remains strong, no Israeli hostages have been freed, rather it killed its own hostages, and casualties on the Israeli side are increasing. The continuous rocket attacks from Hamas persist, and Israel has lost global support, facing heightened animosity. Currently, Israel is actively seeking a solution out of the bottomless pit it digs for itself in Gaza. There is no military solution for the situation in that region, Israel's adversary have become stronger and have the ability to fight back. A secret assessment from the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in Washington has found that Israeli forces would find it “difficult to succeed” in a two-front war against Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Washington Post reported on Sunday.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have engaged in tit-for-tat exchanges of fire with Hezbollah militants since the start of the war with Hamas in October. Initially limited in scale, Hezbollah's pounding of an Israeli intelligence base with missiles on Saturday in response to Israel assassinating a senior Hamas leader in Beirut several days earlier, has marked a significant escalation.
While Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has promised to make a “fundamental change” to the security situation along the Lebanese border, American officials have privately warned him against opening a second front, the Washington Post reported.
“If it were to do so, a new secret assessment from the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) found that it will be difficult for Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to succeed because its military assets and resources would be spread too thin given the conflict in Gaza,” citing two anonymous officials and a classified report by the DIA.
Israel’s military is relatively small in peacetime, relying on reservists to swell its ranks in times of conflict. The IDF called up around 360,000 reservists when the war with Hamas began, although a senior Israeli official told Reuters last week that an undisclosed number would soon be released from duty.
Amid this drawdown, Hezbollah has been open about its role in the conflict. The group’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, claimed in November that his forces had tied up around a third of Israel’s troops along the Israel-Lebanon border, preventing them from being deployed to Gaza. He added that Hezbollah’s continued skirmishes with the IDF were causing “a state of anxiety, anticipation, panic, and fear among the enemy's political and military leadership.”
Multiple US officials told the Washington Post that they fear Netanyahu may attack Hezbollah in order to save his political career. The Israeli leader faced widespread protests before the start of the war, and was criticized afterwards for failing to pre-empt Hamas’ October 7 assault, which left around 1,200 Israelis dead.
“A full-scale conflict between Israel and Lebanon would surpass the bloodshed of the 2006 Israel-Lebanon war on account of Hezbollah’s substantially larger arsenal of long-range and precision weaponry,” the paper stated, citing officials who also warned that the militant group could launch missile attacks on Israeli petrochemical plants and nuclear reactors.
Washington also fears that such a conflict could draw in Iran – Hezbollah’s principal backer – and eventually the US, the paper’s sources said.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Jordan on Sunday, ahead of visits to Israel, the West Bank, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. “We have an intense focus on preventing this conflict from spreading,” he said, before meeting Jordanian King Abdullah II and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi.

Foreign Affairs › Hezbollah Strikes Israeli Intel HQ With 62 Rockets In Retaliation by Dandal(op): 8:15am On Jan 07, 2024 |
In a swift and calculated response to the assassination of Palestinian Resistance leader Sheikh Saleh al-Arouri, Hezbollah targeted one of the Israeli occupation forces’ Air Traffic Control Bases in northern occupied Palestine. The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon launched a barrage of 62 rockets, aimed at the base located atop Mount Jarmaq (“Meron”), the highest peak in the ’48 occupied Palestine.
The attack, which occurred at 8:10 am (local time) on Saturday morning, specifically targeted the sole center for the management and monitoring of air traffic in the northern occupied territories, known as the “Meron” Air Traffic Control Base. Hezbollah stated that this facility has no equivalent alternative, leaving the Israeli occupation with a significant gap in their operations.
Statement issued by the Islamic Resistance:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
“Indeed, We, from the criminals, will take retribution.” (Quran, 32:22)
Firstly, Meron Air Surveillance Base is located on the summit of Mount Jarmaq in northern occupied Palestine. Lawag3: In 2006 Israel beat the hell out of Hezbollah wreck Lebanon in the six day war, war of 1948 Israel wipe the whole Arab league butts.
So brother don't cry when Israel is done with Hamas, Hezbollah and even Iran will get what's coming for them. Israel killed a Iranian high ranking official what has Iran done about it. You glorified liar, If Israel beat the hell out of Hezbollah, why are they not doing it now?? 2006 was when Israel invincibility was shattered by their resounding defeat by Hezbollah. Lest you forget, it took 3 dead Israelis soldiers for Israel to declare war on Hezbollah in 2006. Today, Hezbollah has killed atleast 80 soldiers, and has made atleast 230,000 Israelis to flee from Northern Israel, Hezbollah is unleashing hell on daily basis and yet, Israel has still not declared war on Hezbollah despite the daily humiliation, Why, because everybody knows Israel is not capable of defeating Hezbollah, and as a matter of fact, Hezbollah may even occupy Northern Israel and US would have to send troops to bail out Israel. As for Iran they are still wotorizing Israel on daily basis thru their proxy Hezbollah. That said, Iranians are very patient and resourceful people, and knows how to serve their revenge dish when cold. So, relax and enjoy the show. Indeed, Israel made a mince meat of the Coalition of Arab Countries in the Six day war, but "I get am before, no be property". Besides, those were a different breed of Israeli soldiers who had nothing to loose, and who where for the most part veterans of WW2. Today's Israel is made up of Army of wimps and diaper-wearing TikTokers who are afraid of their own shadows, and are prepared to flee Israel to their second home country at the first sign of heightened tension. Meanwhile, their Arab adversaries this time, are made up of a completely different breed of Arabs; hardcore battle-hardened fighters who have nothing to loose, and aint afraid of death, but infact embrace death and have the resources to defeat Israel in war. Israel knows this, US knows this, excepts the likes of you, who have refused to sober up and continue to live in the past. Its time you give up drinking the "chosen people" Kool aid. |

The diaper-wearing, baby-killing army excels only in bombing defenseless civilians. They are too afraid to engage Hezbollah in an all out war despite the daily humiliation. Israel has the most overrated army in the world; an army of wimps! |

The Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday that the number of Israeli settlers displaced from north of occupied Palestine has reached 230,000.
It is worth noting it is the first time that the northern settlements get evacuated since the establishment of the usurping occupation entity.
The psychological and economic repercussions of Hezbollah attacks on the northern settlements are added to the security threats, according to the Israeli Channel 13.
For his part, the former Israeli minister Avigdor Liberman stressed that the Zionist settlers could not return to their houses due to the failure of the Army in face of Hezbollah.
Hezbollah managed to destroy the Zionist settlements in the north just as the Israeli occupation army did in Gaza, he added.
Meanwhile, the Zionist occupation, according to Al-Manar TV report, turned the settlers’ houses in the north to be shields that protect them from Hezbollah attacks. The report added that Israeli occupation army caused havoc in the northern settlements because of its strategy.

Na everyday Israel dey chop breakfast from Hezbollah. Despite the daily humiliation, Israel understands the consequences of declaring war on Hezbollah, especially considering their defeats by Hezbollah in 2000 and 2006. The colonial settler army only respects strength. If they target your hospitals, retaliate against theirs. If they bomb schools, respond in kind. When they attack civilian infrastructure, do the same. If they make life unbearable for civilians in Beirut, make life equally difficult for all civilians in Tel-Aviv. Unlike Hamas, Hezbollah possesses the strength and resources to engage in a reciprocal "two can play that game" with Israel. The reality is that Hezbollah has amassed significant power, presently holding Israel by the balls. Israel can only watch and hope its daddy US comes to its rescue, but Alas even US political elite understands the consequences of sending American Soldiers to be slaughtered for Israel, hence all it could do is caution its prodigal child, Israel against any attempt to escalate its conflict with Hezbollah. |
