BRATISLAVA:
What does same-sex marriage have to do with interracial marriage, according to the pointless image added to the write-up?

These must be the most pressing world issues for them to be at the forefront of signage.
It is no secret that the LQBTQ+ movement which btw is at least 80% white, have hijacked global struggle for racial justice, in particular, the black American Civil Right movements to 'catch cruise'. It is why they ALWAYS use black gay people at every photo-ops opportunity they get. This is despite the fact that they are as racists against black and other non-white folks as the rest of dem white non-LGBTQ+ folks. They use black and other non-white people genuine struggle for racial equity to push their LGBTQ+ global agenda. I pity the black gay people who are nothing but "currency" of convenience to the so-called LGBTQ+ community.

The white liberal and LGBTQ+ movement in US are particularly the biggest threat to the black civil rights struggle in America. They never miss an opportunity to hijack and manipulate genuine racial justice causes of non-white folks to push forth their dubious agenda. They are the worst kinds of white racists.

ABG2222:
I love the story. Will love to read the concluding part
............The Axe & the Trees (Continuation).........

“Look” the handle shouted, “Let’s get that one” pointing in the direction of a rather intimidating rubber tree , named Kunle, who was planted relatively close to other daunting rubber trees.

“No.”, laughed the white man. “He’s too big. His roots are too deep. It’ll take forever to bring him down. We don’t have the time to do it, and I don’t have the strength”, the man said as he schooled the young handle. “Let’s keep looking.”

As they walked away from the set of rubber trees, Kunle shouted out “forgive them father for they know not what they do.” The frustrated handle looked back and replied, “Shut up old man!”

The Rubber trees hissed and shook their branches at the man and his axe as they continued deeper into the forest. They walked past a set of Mango trees who argued with each other about the man’s intentions. “You can’t knock someone for trying to get money”, said a younger Mango tree named Ude as his elders looked at him with disgrace. The handle shouted out, “Get rich, or die trying!” Ude nodded with approval.

The white man and his axe walked past a set of Palm trees who seemed confused. One young Palm tree named Joshua shouted, “Sell out!” The handle turned a deaf ear to the shout and simply responded, “Stop hating!” Since no one wanted to be called a hater, Joshua and his fellow Palm trees stood in silence.

The white man and the axe walked past a set of trees where a young Obeche named Tina, yelled out “Watch out, they’re coming!” The handle looked at the young Obeche and responded, “Stop snitching bitch!” Disgusted, Tina angrily yelled at him while her fellow Obeches turned away. No one wanted to be associated with a snitch.

The white man and his axe continued on until they came into a clearing. There, stood a Mahogany tree named Angela. No other tree stood within 100 feet of Angela, which gave her a feeling of abandonment. Having such an insecure feeling about herself, she often dropped her unripe mahogany fruits about just so people would notice. “How about that one?” the handle asked.

“She’s perfect”, said the man. “Let’s get her!”

The white man took off his knapsack, and placed the axe on the ground at Angela’s foot. He looked up at her and said, “Wow! You are beautiful.” Angela naively looked back at the man and began to blush. His charm took her by surprise since no one ever complimented her. She turned away from the man and with a new found sense of confidence she spread her limbs. The man, with a grin on his face, picked up the axe and thrusted it into Angela’s frame. She yelled out in excruciating pain as the axe penetrated her bark. She screamed out for help as the man struck her over and over again with the axe.

Hearing the cry for help, the Obeche, Palm, Mango and Rubber trees turned toward the scene and began to groan, yell, shout, and shake their branches causing a very strong breeze, which knocked the man down, and caused the axe to slip out of his hand. The man, fighting against the wind, crawled over to his knapsack and pulled out a wooden flute.

The wooden flute, happy to finally be used, started playing a melodic tune which caught the attention of the attacking trees. They stopped. The wooden flute’s beat grabbed their attention, for they saw he was one of them, and the trees began to sway side to side. The strong wind ceased as the trees focused on the tune.

The man stood up and grabbed the axe. The axe looked at the man with a stunned face. “Let’s go back to work”, said the man. “Yes sir”, replied the axe.

The man swung his axe with vigor. Angela didn’t scream this time. The music from the wooden flute entranced her as well. She just swayed to the rhythm. The axe pierced her deeper and deeper. She felt nothing. The man swung the axe over and over cutting deep into Angela’s frame. The handle yelled out, “Sir, she’s getting weak. Do you want to push her?”

“No!”, the man replied. “If we hit her a few more times, she’ll fall on her own.”

The man swung harder and harder digging into Angela. “C’mon bitch, fall!”, said the man. He swung harder and Angela didn’t respond. She just focused on the beat. She swayed to the melody as the axe pounded her frame. Finally, she stopped moving. The man took three steps backward, and two to the left.

“What’s wrong?”, said the handle wondering why the man backed away.

“Watch this”, replied the man. Angela stopped swaying to the music and fell to the ground. Her limbs cracked and crushed each other with the impact of the fall. Her ripening fruit spread across the forest ground. The man, the axe, and the flute looked at her with a sense of accomplishment. “That bitch was strong”, said the axe.

“Glad I had your help”, replied the white man. “I couldn’t have done it without you.”

---------------------------------------------------- The Axe and the Trees----------------------------------------
When the axe entered the forest, the trees said, “look, the handle is one of us!” as a burly white man walked about into a forest with a knapsack on his back, and axe in his hand. The handy axe handle smiled as he walked with his comrade, who stared out at the trees, looking for the perfect one to cut down.

The handle rested in the man’s hand with a sense of pride and accomplishment on his face. He always wanted to be powerful and knew the blade could not slice through the wood without his help. Though the blade often looked down on him, he didn’t mind. What a small price to pay to be close to the man.

As the man and his axe walked through the forest, the trees looked at the handle with a feeling of betrayal. They couldn’t understand how one of their own could do this to them. Most of the trees groaned and shook their strong branches as a form of protest. Others sat back and excused the young handle for his betrayal. “He’s young. You can’t hold him accountable for his actions. The man is using him”, they argued. The handle heard nothing, as he only sought the approval of the man.

Foreign AffairsUkraine War: US Says Iranian Drones Breach Sanctions by Dandal(op): 1:53am On Oct 19, 2022
My pipul, US/NATO don collect wotowoto from Iranian drones inside Ukraine so tey dem don carry the matter reach UN Security Council oo. cheesy

The US says it agrees with Western allies that Iran's supply of explosive drones to Russia violates UN sanctions.

Kyiv was struck by so-called "kamikaze" drones on Monday, unleashed by Russia but believed to be Iranian-made.
The US agrees with the French and British assessment that the drones violate UN Security Council Resolution 2231, the US State Department said. That resolution, linked to Iran's nuclear accord, bars Iranian transfers of certain military technologies.

Ukraine has identified the drones - or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) - as Iranian Shahed-136 weapons. They are called kamikaze drones after the Japanese fighter pilots who flew suicide missions in World War Two. "It is our belief that these UAVs that were transferred from Iran to Russia and used by Russia in Ukraine are among the weapons that would remain embargoed under 2231," said Vedant Patel of the state department.

Iran denies supplying them to Russia, but Mr Patel said the US "exposed publicly that Russia has received drones from Iran, that this was part of Russia's plan to import hundreds of Iranian UAVs of various types". He added that there was "extensive proof" of Russia's use of them in Ukraine.

Critical infrastructure was hit on Monday in Ukraine's Kyiv, Dnipro and Sumy regions, with electricity cut in hundreds of towns and villages, the Kyiv government said. At least eight people were killed - four in Kyiv and four in Sumy. The US said it would "hold [Russia] accountable for its war crimes."

Mr Patel said the deepening alliance between Russia and Iran was something the whole world should see as a threat. Russia and Iran have provided key military support for President Bashar al-Assad in the Syrian civil war. "Anyone doing business with Iran, that can have any link to UAVs or ballistic missile developments or the flow of arms from Iran to Russia, should be very careful and do their due diligence. The US will not hesitate to use sanctions," Mr Patel warned.

Monday's attack came a week after Russia fired dozens of missiles at Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, many of them targeting energy infrastructure. Western analysts believe the Iranian weapon is helping Russia to keep up long-range attacks despite a shortage of precision missiles.

EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell says the EU is also "gathering evidence" on the Iranian drones and is ready to act - implying a possible intensification of sanctions.

Negotiations to revive the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran are currently stalled. Under the deal with Western powers, Iran agreed to limit its sensitive nuclear activities and allow in international inspectors in return for the lifting of crippling economic sanctions.

Too many educated illiterates in dis forum. For many, the hatred of anything Naija has turned into utter stupidity.

If Nigeria CBN re-dominate or 'window-dressed' the Naira simply by knocking off four zeros as Ghana did in July of 2007, our N1000 will become N0.1 (10 Kobo).

What most Nigerians do not know is that 1 Ghanian cedi (GHc) is actually 1000 cedis, when one factors in the 2007 'window dressing' of the cedis by Ghana Central Bank.

As per International currency exchange market:

US$1 = N435.6 , hence if Nigeria CBN knocks off four zeros that'll be US$1 = N0.4356 or 43.56 Kobo
US$1 = 10.95 GHc (with window dressing) = 109, 500 cedis

Actually, 1 GHc = N0.003978 or 1000 cedis = N39.78

Most are fooled into thinking the cedi is stronger than Naira. Naira no be cedis mate by a long stretch. grin

Unfortunately, this wise saying has not been fully heeded by the west and their ass-lickers. The egocentric west are in for a surprise and humiliation, so long as they continue to view the capabilities of their adversaries; not as they truly are, but as they want them to appear .

For far too long, the arrogant west and their ass-lickers have continued to underestimate Iran and its "inferior" military capabilities. Now judgement day has come, the "inconsequential" Iran with its cheap and "archaic" drone technology are causing havoc in Ukraine, and destroying NATO's highly expensive and "sophisticated" military technology.

Putin understands that US/NATO are on spending spree to weaken Russia military capabilities in Ukraine , and wish for Russia to exhaust in Ukraine, its huge arsenal of expensive and sophisticated weapons it has prepared for US/NATO eventual showdown. However, Putin has checkmated the west by unleashing cheap but formidable Iranian military drone technology against highly expensive and "sophisticated" NATO military hardware. Right now, Iran is in the process of transferring its cheap but formidable Fateh-110 and 313 medium range missile technology to Russia to manufacture like candies, and the West is completely spooked. While Russia, saves its most sophisticated weapons for a "rainy" day, Iran gets to test and fine-tune its military technology in actual war scenario; a classic Win - Win for both Russia and Iran.

Few months ago, Nigeria signed a defense corporation agreement with Iran and it drew a lot of backlash from the western ass-lickers and Islamophobes, saying "what would Nigeria gain from such "backward" country like Iran sef?". I particularly mentioned that Nigeria defense industry could benefit from the transfer of drones and even missile technology from Iran, and that Iran has made a giant stride in military technology than what the west would be willing to admit. Foreign AffairsEU Foreign Policy Chief: "Europe Is Garden, Rest Of The World Is Jungle" by Dandal(op): 10:06pm On Oct 15, 2022
On 13th October 2022, European Union’s foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said 'Europe is a garden and the rest of the world is a jungle.’ He also said that the jungle could invade the garden and that the gardeners have to go to the jungle to protect the garden. He made these racistrs remarks when he was addressing the opening ceremony of the European Diplomatic Academy in Bruges, Belgium.

Josep Borrell said, “Europe is a garden. We have built a garden. Aggregate works are the best combination of political freedom, economic prosperity, and social cohesion that humankind has been able to build. There are three things together and here bridges may be the representation of the beautiful things intellectual life and well-being. The rest of the world is not exactly a garden. Most of the rest of the world is a jungle, and the jungle could invade the garden. The gardeners should take care of it.”

He further said, “But the gardeners will not protect the garden by building walls. A small garden surrounded by high walls in order to prevent the jungle from coming in, it’s not a solution. Because the jungle has a strong growth capacity and the wall will never be high enough in order to protect the garden. The gardeners have to go to the jungle. The Europeans have to be much more engaged with the rest of the world. The rest of the world will invade us by different ways of means. “

Russia Responds:

Director of the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Vladimirovna Zakharova has strongly condemned Borel’s statement, saying that the ‘garden’ of Europe was built by looting the ‘jungle’ of the rest of the world during the colonial regime. She said, “To continue this analogy, the European gardener is in a vegetative state. On a serious note, Europe built that ‘garden’ through the barbaric plundering of the ‘jungle’. Borrell could not have phrased it any better: the world’s most prosperous system, created in Europe, nurtured by roots in colonies which they ruthlessly oppressed.”

Criticizing Germany’s involvement in both World Wars under the guise of reestablishing justice, she said, “Their philosophy of segregation and superiority became the underlying idea of fascism and Nazism. Both world wars in the 20th century were triggered by Germany’s ambition to ‘restore justice’ and re-divide Europe’s colonies that country had failed to grab for itself.”

She added, “Achieving that goal was to ensure Germany the same kind of prosperous and carefree life of the exploiters living in Borrell’s homeland, Spain, as well as in France, Britain, and Portugal.”

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on Tuesday that Russia's victory in the Ukraine war would mean "NATO's defeat." Although Ukraine is strongly supported by NATO in its conflict with Russia, it is still not a part of the alliance.

Stoltenberg added the alliance will go ahead with its earlier scheduled nuclear drills, claiming it would send Moscow a "wrong signal" if it postponed them amid "thinly veiled nuclear threats" from Russia's President Vladimir Putin. He added that a nuclear war cannot have any winners and must, therefore never be fought, stressing Russia is also aware of this.

According to the NATO chief, the best way to avoid further escalation is to secure the alliance's military strength.

"It's a very powerful state. It's a powerful economy … So (it) can politically, economically influence Russia. And China is [also a] permanent member of the UN Security Council," the report quoted Zelenskiy as saying.

Foreign AffairsNATO — Most Dangerous Military Alliance On Planet by Dandal(op): 5:34am On Jul 14, 2022
At no time, including the Cuban missile crisis, have we stood closer to the precipice of nuclear war.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the arms industry that depends on it for billions in profits, has become the most aggressive and dangerous military alliance on the planet. Created in 1949 to thwart Soviet expansion into Eastern and Central Europe, it has evolved into a global war machine in Europe, the Middle East, Latin America Africa and Asia.

NATO expanded its footprint, violating promises to Moscow, once the Cold War ended, to incorporate 14 countries in Eastern and Central Europe into the alliance. It will soon add Finland and Sweden. It bombed Bosnia, Serbia and Kosovo. It launched wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Libya, resulting in close to a million deaths and some 38 million people driven from their homes.

It is building a military footprint in Africa and Asia. It invited Australia, Japan, New Zealand and South Korea, the so-called Asia Pacific Four, to its recent summit in Madrid at the end of June. It has expanded its reach into the Southern Hemisphere, signing a military training partnership agreement with Colombia, in December 2021. It has backed Turkey, with NATO’s second largest military, which has illegally invaded and occupied parts of Syria as well as Iraq.

Turkish-backed militias are engaged in the ethnic cleansing of Syrian Kurds and other inhabitants of north and east Syria. The Turkish military has been accused of war crimes — including multiple airstrikes against a refugee camp and chemical weapons use —in northern Iraq. In exchange for President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s permission for Finland and Sweden to join the alliance, the two Nordic countries have agreed to expand their domestic terror laws making it easier to crack down on Kurdish and other activists, lift their restrictions on selling arms to Turkey and deny support to the Kurdish-led movement for democratic autonomy in Syria.

It is quite a record for a military alliance that with the collapse of the Soviet Union was rendered obsolete and should have been dismantled. NATO and the militarists had no intention of embracing the “peace dividend,” fostering a world based on diplomacy, a respect of spheres of influence and mutual cooperation. It was determined to stay in business. Its business is war. That meant expanding its war machine far beyond the border of Europe and engaging in ceaseless antagonism toward China and Russia.

NATO sees the future, as detailed in its “NATO 2030: Unified for a New Era,” as a battle for hegemony with rival states, especially China, and calls for the preparation of prolonged global conflict. “China has an increasingly global strategic agenda, supported by its economic and military heft,” the NATO 2030 initiative warned.

“It has proven its willingness to use force against its neighbors, as well as economic coercion and intimidatory diplomacy well beyond the Indo-Pacific region. Over the coming decade, China will likely also challenge NATO’s ability to build collective resilience, safeguard critical infrastructure, address new and emerging technologies such as 5G and protect sensitive sectors of the economy including supply chains. Longer term, China is increasingly likely to project military power globally, including potentially in the Euro-Atlantic area.”

Spurned Cold War Strategy

The alliance has spurned the Cold War strategy that made sure Washington was closer to Moscow and Beijing than Moscow and Beijing were to each other. U.S. and NATO antagonism have turned Russia and China into close allies.

Russia, rich in natural resources, including energy, minerals and grains, and China, a manufacturing and technological behemoth, are a potent combination. NATO no longer distinguishes between the two, announcing in its most recent mission statement that the “deepening strategic partnership” between Russian and China has resulted in “mutually reinforcing attempts to undercut the rules-based international order that run counter to our values and interests.”

On July 6, Christopher Wray, director of the FBI, and Ken McCallum, director general of Britain’s MI5, held a joint news conference in London to announce that China was the “biggest long-term threat to our economic and national security.” They accused China, like Russia, of interfering in U.S. and U.K. elections. Wray warned the business leaders they addressed that the Chinese government was “set on stealing your technology, whatever it is that makes your industry tick, and using it to undercut your business and dominate your market.”

This inflammatory rhetoric presages an ominous future. One cannot talk about war without talking about markets. The political and social turmoil in the U.S., coupled with its diminishing economic power, has led it to embrace NATO and its war machine as the antidote to its decline. Washington and its European allies are terrified of China’s trillion-dollar Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) meant to connect an economic bloc of roughly 70 nations outside U.S. control.

The initiative includes the construction of rail lines, roads and gas pipelines that will be integrated with Russia. Beijing is expected to commit $1.3 trillion to the BRI by 2027. China, which is on track to become the world’s largest economy within a decade, has organized the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, the world’s largest trade pact of 15 East Asian and Pacific nations representing 30 percent of global trade. It already accounts for 28.7 percent of the Global Manufacturing Output, nearly double the 16.8 percent of the U.S.

China’s rate of growth last year was an impressive 8.1 percent, although slowing to around 5 percent this year. By contrast, the U.S.’s growth rate in 2021 was 5.7 percent — its highest since 1984 — but is predicted to fall below 1 percent this year, by the New York Federal Reserve.

If China, Russia, Iran, India and other nations free themselves from the tyranny of the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency and the international Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT), a messaging network financial institutions use to send and receive information such as money transfer instructions, it will trigger a dramatic decline in the value of the dollar and a financial collapse in the U.S.

The huge military expenditures, which have driven the U.S. debt to $30 trillion, $6 trillion more than the U.S.’s entire GDP, will become untenable. Servicing this debt costs $300 billion a year. The U.S. spent more on the military in 2021, $801 billion which amounted to 38 percent of total world expenditure on the military, than the next nine countries, including China and Russia, combined.

The loss of the dollar as the world’s reserve currency will force the U.S. to slash spending, shutter many of its 800 military bases overseas and cope with the inevitable social and political upheavals triggered by economic collapse. It is darkly ironic that NATO has accelerated this possibility.

Russia, in the eyes of NATO and U.S. strategists, is the appetizer. Its military, NATO hopes, will get bogged down and degraded in Ukraine. Sanctions and diplomatic isolation, the plan goes, will thrust Vladimir Putin from power. A client regime that will do U.S. bidding will be installed in Moscow. NATO has provided more than $8 billion in military aid to Ukraine, while the US has committed nearly $54 billion in military and humanitarian assistance to the country. China, however, is the main course. Unable to compete economically, the U.S. and NATO have turned to the blunt instrument of war to cripple their global competitor.

Provocation of China

The provocation of China replicates the NATO baiting of Russia. NATO expansion and the 2014 U.S.-backed coup in Kiev led Russia to first occupy Crimea, in eastern Ukraine, with its large ethnic Russian population, and then to invade all of Ukraine to thwart the country’s efforts to join NATO.

The same dance of death is being played with China over Taiwan, which China considers part of Chinese territory, and with NATO expansion in the Asia Pacific. China flies warplanes into Taiwan’s air defense zone and the U.S. sends naval shipsthrough the Taiwan Strait which connects the South and East China seas.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken in May called China the most serious long-term challenge to the international order, citing its claims to Taiwan and efforts to dominate the South China Sea. Taiwan’s president, in a Zelensky-like publicity stunt, recently posed with an anti-tank rocket launcher in a government handout photo.

The conflict in Ukraine has been a bonanza for the arms industry, which, given the humiliating withdrawal from Afghanistan, needed a new conflict. Lockheed Martin’s stock prices are up 12 percent. Northrop Grumman is up 20 percent. The war is being used by NATO to increase its military presence in Eastern and Central Europe. The U.S. is building a permanent military base in Poland. The 40,000-strong NATO reaction force is being expanded to 300,000 troops. Billions of dollars in weapons are pouring into the region.

The conflict with Russia, however, is already backfiring. The ruble has soared to a seven-year high against the dollar. Europe is barreling towards a recession because of rising oil and gas prices and the fear that Russia could terminate supplies completely. The loss of Russian wheat, fertilizer, gas and oil, due to Western sanctions, is creating havoc in world markets and a humanitarian crisis in Africa and the Middle East. Soaring food and energy prices, along with shortages and crippling inflation, bring with them not only deprivation and hunger, but social upheaval and political instability. The climate emergency, the real existential threat, is being ignored to appease the gods of war.

Threat of Nuclear War

The war makers are frighteningly cavalier about the threat of nuclear war. Putin warned NATO countries that they “will face consequences greater than any you have faced in history” if they intervened directly in Ukraine and ordered Russian nuclear forces to be put on heightened alert status.

The proximity to Russia of U.S. nuclear weapons based in Belgium, Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Turkey mean that any nuclear conflict would obliterate much of Europe. Russia and the United States control about 90 percent of the world’s nuclear warheads, with around 4,000 warheads each in their military stockpiles, according to the Federation of American Scientists.

U.S. President Joe Biden warned that the use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine would be “completely unacceptable” and “entail severe consequences,” without spelling out what those consequences would be. This is what U.S. strategists refer to as “deliberate ambiguity.”

The U.S. military, following its fiascos in the Middle East, has shifted its focus from fighting terrorism and asymmetrical warfare to confronting China and Russia. President Barack Obama’s national-security team in 2016 carried out a war game in which Russia invaded a NATO country in the Baltics and used a low-yield tactical nuclear weapon against NATO forces. Obama officials were split about how to respond.

“The National Security Council’s so-called Principals Committee — including Cabinet officers and members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff — decided that the United States had no choice but to retaliate with nuclear weapons,” Eric Schlosser writes in The Atlantic.

“Any other type of response, the committee argued, would show a lack of resolve, damage American credibility, and weaken the NATO alliance. Choosing a suitable nuclear target proved difficult, however. Hitting Russia’s invading force would kill innocent civilians in a NATO country. Striking targets inside Russia might escalate the conflict to an all-out nuclear war. In the end, the NSC Principals Committee recommended a nuclear attack on Belarus — a nation that had played no role whatsoever in the invasion of the NATO ally but had the misfortune of being a Russian ally.”

The Biden administration has formed a Tiger Team of national security officials to run war games on what to do if Russia uses a nuclear weapon, according to The New York Times. The threat of nuclear war is minimized with discussions of “tactical nuclear weapons,” as if less powerful nuclear explosions are somehow more acceptable and won’t lead to the use of bigger bombs.

At no time, including the Cuban missile crisis, have we stood closer to the precipice of nuclear war.

“A simulation devised by experts at Princeton University starts with Moscow firing a nuclear warning shot; NATO responds with a small strike, and the ensuing war yieldsmore than 90 million casualties in its first few hours,” The New York Times reported.

The longer the war in Ukraine continues — and the U.S. and NATO seem determined to funnel billions of dollars of weapons into the conflict for months if not years — the more the unthinkable becomes thinkable. Flirting with Armageddon to profit the arms industry and carry out the futile quest to reclaim U.S. global hegemony is at best extremely reckless and at worst genocidal.

Foreign AffairsObservations On The Ukraine War - Will Schryver by Dandal(op): 5:14am On Jun 29, 2022
I've watched a LOT of drone footage from this war. I've seen, from a bird's eye view, the construction and logic of the field fortifications Ukraine constructed, with US guidance, over the course of eight years. The logic of these ubiquitous pre-prepared fortifications harkens back to the 1864-65 Battle of Petersburg (US Civil War), with many WW1 innovations – a logic where victory depends on:

- you not running out of men and ammo

- the enemy being comparatively stupid

Of course, when you think about it, the revealed logic of Ukraine’s long-prepared strategy for this war is, in many ways, a reflection of American military delusions and vanities, which multiplied and solidified over the course of the brief and fleeting “unipolar moment”. Despite not having “won” a war since 1945 (and then only truly against the Japanese), the US military is consumed with the vanity that it has *always* dominated opposing forces in every conflict. There is some measure of truth in this perspective. But it is irrelevant. Because, since no later than the Korean War, the US has not faced a peer or near-peer adversary in a high-intensity conflict. The US military has not been, for almost three-quarters of century, truly tested “under-fire”. This is an indisputable fact.

The US has measured its battlefield mettle, for decades, against brave sandal-shod men with AK-47s, RPGs, and a certain savoir faire for constructing IEDs. But they have *never* faced anything like Russian artillery or missiles. Not even in Hollywood movies or video games. Consequently, the Pentagon’s self-perception of unquestioned supremacy has served to disinform and corrupt its doctrinal and procurement decisions for multiple generations of its officer corps. For most US generals and admirals, all putative opponents are underestimated.

That said, I believe a great many have now been awakened from their intellectual slumber by the manner in which the Russian armed forces quickly assessed the Ukrainian order of battle, and then professionally adapted their strengths and tactics to decisively defeat it. Here is a brief summation of the Russian tactical approach to the Battle of the Donbass:

Step #1: advance reconnaissance units (often in force, with dozens or hundreds of drones overhead) to assess the situation; draw fire; relay to commanders raw video and geo-coordinates.

Step #2: with target-correcting drone swarms relaying real-time strike video, proceed to savage the fortifications with towed and mobile artillery, MLRS in gradations of strength and precision, and even horrific thermobaric munitions for particularly suitable targets.

Let smoke clear. Repeat Step #1.

Still something moving there? Repeat Step #2.

Repeat Step #1. Dead bodies everywhere?

Step #3: Send in tanks and infantry to mop up. Move to next series of fortifications.

And so on and so forth …

This is why Ukraine now suffers hundreds of KIAs every day. And why, for months, the Russians have suffered very few casualties – at least a 1 to 10 ratio. Probably much lower. The artillery (with occasional air and precision missile strikes) is doing all the fighting.

But back to Ukraine’s apparent strategy for this war, and the apparent US influence on that strategy. I will preface my commentary on this issue by stating that I am now thoroughly convinced Ukraine’s fatal blunder was following NATO's advice. I’ll grant the remote possibility that the Pentagon/CIA had a cogent view, far in advance, of the relative unlikelihood that a half-million-strong, well-armed, and presumptively well-trained (by NATO) Ukraine military didn’t have much chance against Russia.

But watching drone video of Ukrainian fortifications has convinced me the NATO brain trust effectively disdained Russian military capability, and its commanders, in the course of their eight-year-long preparation of the eastern Ukrainian battlefield. They clearly believed the Russians would be stupid enough to assault Ukrainian fortifications using “modern” tactics entirely ill-suited to the task at hand. Their vanity persuaded them the Russians would beat themselves to pieces against an entrenched well-armed force.

Indeed, they were so confident of the genius of their plan that they persuasively encouraged many hundreds (if not thousands) of now-killed or captured NATO veterans to “share in the glory” of humiliating the Russians and bringing down the Putin regime once and for all. They deluded themselves into believing the Russians lacked: strategic and logistical acumen, a sufficiently well-trained force, and – arguably the biggest miscalculation of all – sufficient stockpiles of ammo to conduct a protracted high-intensity conflict.

In short, I have come to believe the US/NATO actually persuaded themselves that this “Mother of All Proxy Armies” they built in Ukraine seriously had an excellent chance to soundly whip the Russians in a battle situated on their borders. In other words, they not only grossly underestimated their enemy, but they ignored centuries of history that they somehow convinced themselves had no relevance to their 21st century aspirations to defeat Russia militarily and take a great spoil of its resources. But, as is now readily apparent to all objective, knowledgeable military analysts around the globe, the US/NATO-trained Ukraine proxy army been savaged by a patient, methodical, and significantly outnumbered Russian force, using century-old doctrines and tactics.

Even more revealing is that once-vaunted and universally feared US/UK weaponry – almost all of it rather antiquated – has proven to be far less “game-changing” than the pea-brained strategists in Washington and Whitehall mistakenly believed. Javelins, NLAWs, and Stingers have been exposed as effectively useless against their intended targets. M-777 howitzers break down after just a few fires. GPS-guided “precision” munitions are routinely jammed by Russian EW counter-measures.

Worse yet, the inculcation of NATO field doctrines in the minds of the AFU officer cadre has resulted in pervasively inflexible responses to battlefield events that developed contrary to expectations; discipline has disintegrated; improvisation has been paralyzed. To be sure, if one were to go by the laughable assessments of western think-tank propagandists and their dutiful lackeys in the media, “Ukraine is winning” and “the inept Russian military has been humiliated”. But more discerning observers around the world know better.

What sober military men in potential adversary countries across the globe see is that Russia has, with one hand tied behind its back, eviscerated the massive, relatively well-armed and well-trained Ukraine military. The US intimidation factor has been forever compromised. More geopolitically significant, at least in the near future, is that European NATO members can also read the scorecard of this war: they now understand as they never could previously that standing on the NATO side of the field is hardly a guarantee of security.

I am convinced NATO will not survive the results of this war in Ukraine. Sure, they’ll “keep up appearances” for the time being, but there can be no doubt that most now understand that siding with a rapidly declining empire is fraught with great risk and minimal gain. More concerningly, the Chinese have been watching all of these developments with great interest. They are almost certain to be emboldened to act decisively to secure their sphere of influence in the emerging multipolar world.

Great dangers now await in east Asia …

What are diplomats doing a war zone?
UN chief told Russia military before going to Ukraine yet missiles hit depots around the place, now imagine UN not informing Russia before.
If any Diplomat don't inform Russia military in advance and the diplomat get kill then that person dead for nothing.
Even USA said they still communicate with Russia else Austin and Blinken wouldn't risk their lives and traveled to Ukraine.

USA and NATO bombed Chinese embassy with 5 bombs during Yugoslavia war killing many Chinese, sorry its a war-zone was the story USA said.
Exactly! Foreign diplomats are all over Ukraine, Internet and phone services, TV Stations, and other social services, all working. All these would not be possible had Russia been at war with Ukraine. Russia is demilitarizing its Slav brethren with kid's glove and is in no rush, hence the term "Special Military Operation' . Ukraine would not last two weeks if Russia declares war on Ukraine.

While US military doctrine is global dominance with at least 800 military bases spread across the globe, Russia's military doctrine has always been geared towards the defense of its borders, and to project power in Eastern Europe. Long story short, NATO/US can not defeat Russia in a war in Ukraine, much less Ukraine by itself.

Foreign AffairsU.S. Admiral Surrenders To Russia In Mariupol, Ukraine by Dandal(op): 5:47am On May 16, 2022
Numerous reports have been circulating much of today (Sunday, May 15, 2022) claiming that a U.S. Military Commander surrendered to Russian forces from the Azovstal Steel Mill in Mariupol, Ukraine. As of 6:17 PM EDT, a photo purported to be U.S. Navy Admiral Eric Olson, has been released allegedly showing the Admiral under arrest by Russian troops.

The photo, featured above, is claimed to be Admiral Eric T. Olsen.

From Wikipedia:
Eric Thor Olson (born January 24, 1952) is a retired United States Navy admiral who last served as the eighth Commander, U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) from July 2, 2007 to August 8, 2011. He previously served as Deputy Commander, U.S. Special Operations Command from 2003 to July 2007. Olson was the first Navy SEAL ever to be appointed to three-star and four-star flag rank, as well as the first naval officer to be USSOCOM's combatant commander.

He took command from Army General Bryan D. Brown in 2007.[1] Brown and Olson had served together at the SOCOM headquarters in Tampa for four years.

He retired from active duty on August 22, 2011 after over 38 years of service. He relinquished command of SOCOM to Admiral William H. McRaven the same day. Along with U.S. Admiral Olson (Ret'd), British Lieutenant Colonel John Bailey and 4 NATO military instructors also allegedly surrendered to Russia.

There is also news of Canadian, French, and Turkish military officers still hiding inside tunnels beneath the Azovstal Steel Mill in Mariupol.

What these men were allegedly doing there and who sent them there, is not yet known.

If confirmed by the Pentagon, the massive question this raises is why are U.S. military officers, and the military officers from other NATO countries, inside Ukraine at all, and who authorized them to participate in waging undeclared war upon Russia?

(Hal Turner Remark: I have reached out to the Pentagon Public Affairs Duty Officer via the off-hours/Weekend media contact telephone number, seeking Pentagon comment. The Duty Officer I spoke with requested I send them details via email, which has been done.

Foreign AffairsErdogan Says Turkey Not Supportive Of Finland, Sweden Joining NATO by Dandal(op): 3:39am On May 14, 2022
President Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday it was not possible for NATO-member Turkey to support plans by Sweden and Finland to join the pact given that the Nordic countries were "home to many terrorist organisations".

Though Turkey has officially supported NATO enlargement since it joined the U.S.-led alliance 70 years ago, its opposition could pose a problem for Sweden and Finland given new members need unanimous agreement.

Turkey has repeatedly slammed Sweden and other Western European countries for its handling of organisations deemed terrorist by Ankara, including the Kurdish militant groups PKK and YPG, and the followers of U.S.-based Islamic cleric Fethullah Gulen. Ankara says Gulenists carried out a coup attempt in 2016. Gulen and his supporters deny the accusation.

Finland's plan to apply for NATO membership, announced Thursday, and the expectation that Sweden will follow, would bring about the expansion of the Western military alliance that Russian President Vladimir Putin aimed to prevent by launching the invasion of Ukraine.

"We are following the developments regarding Sweden and Finland, but we don't hold positive views," Erdogan told reporters in Istanbul, adding it had been a mistake for NATO to accept Greece as a member in the past.

"As Turkey, we don't want to repeat similar mistakes. Furthermore, Scandinavian countries are guesthouses for terrorist organisations," Erdogan said, without giving details. "They are even members of the parliament in some countries. It is not possible for us to be in favour," he added.

Moscow on Thursday called Finland's announcement hostile and threatened retaliation, including unspecified "military-technical" measures.

Turkey has criticised Russia's invasion, sent armed drones to Ukraine and sought to facilitate peace talks between the sides. But it has not backed Western sanctions on Moscow and seeks to maintain close trade, energy and tourism ties with Russia.

PoliticsE Don Happen: UK Recognizes IPOB As A Terrorist Group by Dandal(op):
The government of the United Kingdom has made a U-turn on its treatment of members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), recognising Nigeria’s classification of the group as a terrorist organisation.

In a May 2022 update of its asylum policy, seen by TheCable, the UK government excluded members of the group from seeking refuge in England. In April 2021 that the UK was planning to grant asylum to persecuted members of the separatist group, as part of its refugee policy published at the time. The policy, at the time, was for asylum to be granted to “persecuted” members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), and the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB)”.

The UKVI, a division of the Home Office, directed its decision makers to consider if a person “who actively and openly supports IPOB is likely to be at risk of arrest and detention, and ill-treatment which is likely to amount to persecution”.If the person can prove persecution, then the IPOB member or supporter could be granted asylum.

UKVI TAKES DOWN POLICY NOTES
A few days after the policy notes were published, the UK government took it down, following complaints from the Nigerian government.
In July 2021, an updated policy on asylum was seen by TheCable, with no clear mention of IPOB, but more emphasis on Nigerians fleeing Boko Haram’s onslaught.

The UK said at the time that it would offer protection to “women, LGBTI persons and non-indigenes” who “may face additional discrimination which prevents them from being able to access effective protection”.The UK government said Nigerians could now claim asylum in the UK if they face “fear of persecution and/or serious harm by members of Boko Haram because of” their “actual or perceived opposition to the group”.

UKVI RECOGNISES IPOB AS TERRORIST ORGANISATION
In its May 2022 policy update seen by TheCable, UKVI referred to IPOB as a terrorist organisation to be excluded from its asylum programme over alleged links to violence in the south-east.

“IPOB is proscribed as a terrorist group by the Nigerian government, and members of the group and its paramilitary wing – the Eastern Security Network (created in December 2020) – have reportedly committed human rights violations in Nigeria,” UKVI said in its policy notes.

It added that “MASSOB has been banned, but is not a proscribed terrorist group in Nigeria. It too has reportedly been involved in violent clashes with the authorities”.

UKVI went on to tell its decision makers that “if a person has been involved with IPOB (and/or an affiliated group), MASSOB or any other ‘Biafran’ group that incites or uses violence to achieve its aims, decision makers must consider whether one (or more) of the exclusion clauses under the Refugee Convention is applicable. “Persons who commit human rights violations must not be granted asylum,” the UK added.

RomanceRe: My Children Wants To Bear The Surname Of Their Stepfather by Dandal:
And if in the future, you are no longer married to their step father nko? would you change their Surname again?

According to religion of Islam and also in most African cultures, children(adopted or not) should be surnamed after their dead or alive biological father.

They are still children now, but may see things differently when they've become adult, so you need to be very careful of a potential blowback in the future. It'll be prudent to let them make that decision themselves when they reach adulthood, until then, its only proper they bare their biological father's surname.

To be fair though, changing their surname is not a decision you should make on their behalf, as they are still kids. Let it be their decision to make when they've become adult. But If you must change their surname, it did be better they use their mother's family name as surname, instead of their step father's. Step fathers come and go too...No matter what you've been thru with their father or how bad he is, they are still his blood, and blood would always be thicker than water.
