Mavin Records act, Reekado Banks will today, 28th April, 2015 convocate from the University of Lagos. He shared the news on his social media accounts, with the caption; “Thank you Lord for the journey so far. #ALLELU”.

The “Chop Am” singer is now a graduate of History and Strategic Studies from one of Nigeria’s top tertiary institutions, University of Lagos, Akoka.

Steven Ugochukwu , the alleged gay stalker of Yul Edochie insists that he was in a relationship with the actor.

It will be recalled that the actor had taken to twitter about a month ago to expose his alleged stalker, claiming he has never met him neither does he have anything to do with him.

Meanwhile Steven Ugochukwu Nelson Onyebuchi who is believed to be based in Canada has outed the actor via Media.

He showed loads of proof that they were really in love.

He further claimed that he is in possession of an audio recording of his conversation with the actor.

Here is what he wrote.

“We were in a relationship, had issues caused by him. Warned him not to play silly games with me or I use all I v n soil his name. He didn’t know I was recording all our discussions including the ones he called me n the ones I called. He took on Twitter April 8 and accused me of forcing him to be gay, looking for police to get hold of me. All I did that day was to play our love discussion to my peeps. Show them our chat histories. All this came to him as a shock” he wrote under one of his posts.

Popular Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye of the Psquare has denied media report that he was splitting up with his brother, Paul over some misunderstanding.

If we recall, rumour of a split went viral on the internet, few weeks back when his twin brother, Paul attributed some songs just to himself on instagram.

The energetic dancer and father of two, however, revealed to Vanguardngr that the group which was built over the years was not splitting, adding that even though they sometimes have misunderstanding, such does not affect their music.

“We just had minor quarrel just like everyone who has siblings would. We fight and we make-up; we fought many times last year but we still go on stage and perform and nobody knows. I can’t come out and say Paul and I have never fought. I’s like a couple who has been married for over 20years would come out and say they have never fought,” he said.

Young Thug performed at Southern University in Baton Rouge last night with Travi$ Scott and received his fair share of heckling during his set. While Lil Wayne was out in Atlanta, where his tour bus was shot at earlier this morning, Thugger was attempting to perform a few songs in Wayne's home state, as audience members yelled "Weezy" and "Bleep you" while he was on stage. In between the loud booing, Thugger addressed the audience and said "I still love you." Fans managed to scream "Hollygrove!" a few times, too.

Jay Z's #TidalFacts revealed what we already knew about his new streaming service but the one thing fans didn't know was that he sent his cousin to Nigeria to find new talent. We're guessing that Jay Z and fam got tired of Soundcloud searching and decided that being on the ground may be more helpful.

We did a little digging and we're guessing Jay is referring to his cousin Briant “Bee-High” Biggs, who he wrote about in Decoded and referenced on a number of tracks, including "Blueprint (Momma Loves Me)." For those who haven't read Decoded, Jay explains how Bee encouraged him to stop hustling and start taking rap seriously. Bee managed some artists on Roc-A-Fella, before heading to Roc Nation where he is currently the director of mobile strategies. Makes sense.
And it looks like Bee-High may have really discovered some Nigerian artists already. Case in point: Ice Prince, pictured above. He recently stopped by Power 106's The Breakfast Club where he revealed he's been in talks with Roc Nation, all thanks to Bee-High. From the looks of his Instagram, he's already met with Jay Z and co. But he's not actually a "new talent," as he has a steady following on his socials and YouTube.
And could Ice Prince be Tidal's first original star? Only time will tell.

Africa’s wealthiest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has listed three major problems facing Nigeria’s economy that the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari needs to deal with.

Dangote is of the opinion that Buhari, once sworn in on May 29, as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, should endeavour he makes this 3 his top priorities;
1. Eradication of unemployment
2. Increment of power supply
3. Getting rid of corrupton

Dangote, while speaking with Hottestdaniel assured the president-elect that the business community will be backing his administration, adding that with President Goodluck Jonathan conceding defeat, the confidence of investors all over the world has been boosted, and that the business community would wax stronger if the president-elect tackles some urgent needs of the economy.

Speaking on unemployment, Dangote said: “It is a great and pervasive problem in Nigeria. But the point must be made that it is not peculiarly a Nigerian problem. All over the world, there are growing issues of unemployment. And what we are saying is that the in-coming government can achieve a remarkable success in this regard if it declares an emergency on unemployment and tackle it decisively. You know the organised private sector will or should play a key role in this. And that is why we are concerned.”

He further lamented the extent of damage corruption has done to Nigerian economy, describing it as a “big cankerworm that has really eaten deep into the fabric of our nation.”

“The malaise of corruption is a threat to the survival of the Nigeria economy, no doubt. We must all therefore rise in unison to tackle the menace both in the public and private sector of the economy. The Buhari-led government can show a lot of strength on this issue by showing direction, by demonstrating commitment to ridding every sector of the economy of this malaise.

“I can tell you that a lot will change in Nigeria if this issue is tackled decisively,” Dangote said.
