While marijuana legalization is picking up steam across the country there’s still plenty of time to get onboard the train of startups trying to capitalize on the market. Snoop Dogg is the last rapper we’d expect to pass up on the opportunity, which is why it’s no surprise he’s investing in a startup described as the Uber of weed.

Business Insider reports Uncle Snoop is one of several investors who pitched in $10 million to Eaze, a medical marijuana delivery startup based in California. The service is currently available in 35 cities, and promises to deliver the green medicine in about 15 minutes. This latest round of funding is sparking Eaze to hire 50 new employees in its expansion efforts.

It appears Nigeria’s eccentric afro hip hopstar, Terry G has not run out of ideas on how to engage his fans.

The hip hop act at a recent performance in Enugu decided to take the gospel route while entertaining fans at the Spices Restaurant in Enugu venue of Legend Extra Stout Taste and Tell Activation hosted by Nigerian Breweries Plc.
The bell-brandishing artiste interspersed his performance with verses and preaching from the holy bible much to the excitement of the lively audience.

“God loves us the way we are, that is why Jesus died for us”, the Benue state born artiste stated during his performance as he thrilled the audience to a collection of his hit songs including Akpako, Free Madness, Love Affair, Oga, The Microphone amongst others.

The event also featured rib cracking comedy from ace comedian Aje Baba. The comedian sent the audience reeling with his cleverly delivered jokes.

The evening was further spiced with performances from local cultural troupe, PammyUdu Bunch and a live music from Tipsy Sounds, an Enugu based Live Band.

Burna Boy has just taken things to the next level by signing a new deal with global brand Island Records, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group.

The talented Reggae/Dance-Hall act took to Social Media to make the announcement moments ago and made the bold veclaim of being the first contemporary Nigerian act to OFFICIALLY sign a deal with the power brand.

The former Aristokrat Records front-runner had been independent since he parted ways with the label sometime last year.

This is surely a step in the right direction for an artiste who’s possibly one of the most underrated names in the game.

He should be clearing out all the major awards yearly.

A mother & daughter have re-united after a bizarre and unexplained hospital mishap kept them apart for almost 50 years.
Zella Jackson Price, 76, a gospel in singer in the St. Louis suburb Olivette, says she was told 49 years ago that her daughter had died in a hospital hours after being born. But on Thursday, Price met that very alive daughter, Melanie Diane Gilmore. A nurse had told Jackson-Price that her baby, who was three months premature and weighed less than one pound, died shortly after birth. “She came up to me three hours later and said your baby passed,”Gilmore was subsequently adopted by another family, and believed that her birth mother gave her up. When she was 20, Gilmore’s adoptive mother died, and she moved to Oregon to live with a relative. There, she began searching for her biological mother.

Gilmore’s son and twin daughters helped search for their grandmother last year, using Facebook to track Jackson-Price down and a DNA test to confirm the match. Results came back in March, and it was “a 99.9997% match,” Gilmore’s daughter wrote in the description section of a YouTube video documenting the reunion.

Gilmore, who’s been deaf since the age of 3, was given the news by her children via sign language. Then she was introduced to her mother for the first time in a video message

“God has given me everything the devil has taken from me,” Jackson-Price said “I’m getting it back. I’m getting my baby back.”
Jackson-Price expressed plans to investigate whether the hospital mishap was an accident or something more nefarious.

“I’m still kinda in shock. I don’t know what we’ll find out, what error, what was done, I don’t know what we’ll find out,” she told the Hottestdaniel. “As soon as we get over the excitement of being together and everything, I will seek a lawyer.”

Homer G. Phillips Hospital closed in 1979, and was converted into senior living apartments in 2003.

If a group of people are asked to name the undisputed queen of Nigerian ragga/dancehall, the name “Cynthia Morgan” will surely come up many times. The energetic singer with her trademark red hair has become a reference point for the Nigerian Dancehall genre.
However, she has not always had it this good and in fact her rise from obscurity to fame has not been easy or straightforward at all. She recently sat down to reveal her life story during a #MySuperStarStory interview. The Edo State-born entertainer revealed that she did not watch TV until she was about ten years old due to her conservative Jehovah Witness background.
After recording her first 6-track demo album at the age of 16, despite people recognizing her talent, she was often discouraged by her friends who mocked her dream of making it as a singer in Lagos and told her that she would return to Benin in no time.
Today, she says, those friends are her biggest fans. Arsenal continued their fine form by beating Liverpool 4-1 at the Emirates thanks to a first-half blitz which included three goals in eight minutes.

The opening exchanges saw Arsenal press their opponents and Simon Mignolet had to save twice from Aaron Ramsey and Santi Cazorla. However, Liverpool came back into the game and Lazar Markovic was put clean through but chose to square for Raheem Sterling who was not able to tap into the empty net.

Arsenal made the Reds pay as young right-back Hector Bellerin found space inside the box and curled the opener home. Then, from a free-kick outside the area, Mesut Ozil delivered the ball perfectly into the far corner to make it 2-0 and, just before the break, Alexis Sanchez's rocket from just outside the box deepened the misery for Brendan Rodgers.

Mignolet had to be at his best to keep out Olivier Giroud's header in the second half, but Liverpool were back in the game when Bellerin brought down Sterling in the box and Jordan Henderson stroked home the penalty with 15 minutes left.

Emre Can was then sent off as he clattered into Welbeck to earn a second yellow and Giroud netted a powerful shot in the final minute to send the Gunners second.
