I know, but I do love her. She says she has "fat genes" as if to imply that it's not her fault. But she eats like a pig, which has more to do with it i think. Now she's even fatter than in that photo.

It's been almost a year since i last posted. I did talk to my wife and for about a month she tried to lose weight, but she was cranky, unhappy and quit. Now she has gained even more weight.

Yes, a photo from when we first met and one from earlier this year

I think it is because some women lust after food like a drug and they become lazy about looking after their figures because they have their man. Also, they start to eat the same portions as their husbands even though they don't need as much food, so they gain weight. My wife just started eating like crazy after the wedding and has grown quite fat very quickly, as you can see. She is always hungry and always snacking between meals. Sometimes when I look at her, I am shocked by the transformation.

Those are good suggestions but maybe not in her case. Buying her clothes that fit her before would seem ludicrous as she has literally doubled in weight. The strange thing is that she does not seem to notice or mention anything about this transformation.

How can I diplomatically tell my wife that she has grown too fat? When we met,she was slender. over the following 2 years she grew plump but still attractive. however, since we have been married, she began to eat constantly and has grown so fat that she has difficulty in finding clothes that fit her. Help!

Thanks again. She does struggle to get up from a low chair or if she's sitting on the floor. I've noticed that she only wears shoes that she can slip on because I think she would have trouble tieing them. Probably not a goo sign,

Thanks Nia. That story is pretty scary, but do you think my wife's at that point? She seems to be pretty healthy apart for being obviously overweight.

Thanks. I wish it was as simple as that. I know she wasn't skinny when we met, but normal-sized. I knew that she liked to eat, but it was after we got married that she really started to overeat. At first I didn't worry about it but after the first year she had probably gained 15 kilos and it kept going from there. She says she is happy the way she is and that she was genetically meant to be big. But I can also see that she eats very large quantities of fattening foods and snacks throughout the day. As she has gotten heavier, she has become less active and spends more time eating, just making the problem worse. It seems to be a viscious circle.

It's true! My wife started getting fat as soon as we started living together.

She says it's what's inside that matters, but I miss her old body. She can't seem to control her eating. What can I do?

At least your friend has a choice. When I got married, my wife was slim, but after 7 years she has grown very fat. She eats constantly and does not want to diet. These photos show how big she has gotten.

Yes she is eating in both photos. Maybe I should have seen it coming, but what can I do now? Tell your friend to get out while he can!
