AMINDA:He should rather be tortured and punished until he begged to be killed. A serial murderer deserves it. Wonder what took his father this long to tell the world the atrocities perpetrated by his son? Is it fear of his son or tacsit support for his atrocities that made him not to report his son all these while to the authorities? |
Which way Nigeria? Which way to go? |
America is the one and only super power for a reason and would continue to be so for a loooong time. Power belongs to the people and will always belong to them no matter what. The people will eventually get their power back from leaders who oppressed them in any guise. |
A new year and a new opened chapter. Things are about to go down. |
May their souls Rest In Peace. |
OKOATA:It is obviously a lie. If it is true, then they should have just posted the original copy or other versions of the pictures taken at the moment. They can better still post the pics of the 3 presidents having dinner same day. Of what significance is a Nigerian president pictured having breakfast or dinner with a lesser president to f an African country. I see none, unless they want to decieve Nigerians about something. Something is not right somewhere. |
tishbite41:Individuals own such light crafts and are bound to fly it themselves most times. We should all wait till investigations publish their findings anyways. |

RealLordZeus:You raised sailent points, but then, the issue of drug abuse is never a one dimension thing. You can get hooked before you know it. The crude you are talking about here is worthless as it takes much more than the price to refine it. America is tired of the influx of drugs in there country which has killed many of it's citizens. It is morally right for the president to tackle the influx with everything they have. It is called good governance. If venezuelans has the oil you talk about, then why is the president interested and involved in narco trafficking? Because the narco trafficking is much more lucrative than the oil they claim to have albeit inconsequential. |
SpaceX:An army of another nation crossing the border to another nation in whatever guise is a declaration of war. No excuses. No explanation. Something is really going on in Nigeria that we are yet to know. |
lilsmart:Logical. But you entirely forgot to mention the politicians also. They are much more worse. The number one problem mitigating Nigerian growth as a nation. |
"We won't let any country in the region threaten us". That is a country that every person wants to be a a citizen of. A country that cares for it's citizens and protects them from both internal and external threats at all costs. Not a country that plays politics with the lives of it's citizens and would rather romance with known terrorists than eliminate them. Israel is a COUNTRY |
olyrayy:The guilty are always first to brandish allegations. |
WorldRichest:Really? It is you guys trapped in Nigeria who are crying ![]() I have left the shores of Africa decades ago. You can enjoy your government smiling and suffering and crying in silence or wailing aloud for all I care. Posterity will judge us all |
mariovito:Logical, but then doing so would defeat the main purpose of the scheme which is national integration. |
olyrayy:I smoking nothing. Making the statement devoid of any bias. Goodluck Jonathan remains the best president Nigeria has ever had. Yaradua comes second, even though death did not allow him finish his good works. Obasanjo comes third and maybe Shehu Shagari came fourth. Him too was not allowed to finish his good works by coupists who ran the country down. |
Rip to the dead. He died serving the country like millions of other officers did. Rip to him. |
Happy birthday to the best president Nigeria ever had. Long live and prosperity in the mighty name God. |
immortalcrown: behold mere anarchy has been let loose upon the world . They must not fall apart. What money has joined together no one must put asunder. ![]() |
Ikaeniyan0:Stop making noise here and defending impunity. What Wike did is very wrong. Everything is not about politics. There is a court of law to decide on this matter and he should simply take the matter to court instead of the show of shame he displayed to the public. He didn't even have to engage with the officers stationed at the site in the first place. Not everything is politics to you guys. What is wrong is wrong. You people are the ones destroying Tinubus government by supporting illegality and at the long run, you see Tinubu wading into this matter and letting the right thing be done. I know he will. You say they could not produce any land documents? Are those military men stationed there owners of the land? Why should they be asked to produce documents in the first place instead of engaging with those known to own the land. Stop supporting illegality and always call a spade a spade. Wike is wrong in his approach to this matter and should stop overheating the polity. |
eliwa47:Lol una no go kii person for nairaland abeg.Am here laughing like a mad man with this your comment. Attracting glares from peeps sitting across me. Thanks for the humour any ways. |
1AcrossTheEARTH:Being patriotic comes in different forms my dear. Thier is blind patriotism and their is critical patriotism. You cannot blindly be patriotic when the lives of fellow citizens are being decimated daily due to the governments actions or inactions. You cannot be blindly patriotic when policies and laws detrimental to the citizens welfare and quality of life are being passed by the government. You cannot be blindly patriotic when funds mapped out for projects to better the living conditions of the citizenry are being looted by those in charge. No you can't be blindly patriotic in the face of all these. You can be critically patriotic when you raise a voice to the government and tell them what you as a citizen lawfully and legally want for your country. These are ordinary people elected by ordinary citizens to serve and protect us first and foremost and nothing more. They are not demi gods who should be worshipped by the blind patriots. As a real and critical patriot, we all want the best for our country. A country devoid of killings, corruption, injustice, tribalism, religion intolerance etc. A country we can all be proud to call our own. Where the leaders elected by the citizenry, has the citizens at heart. A country where there is employment and where social and basic amenities are in place. A country where things work and are working. We should all strive to has a Nigeria structured in this way. |

QuinQ:Ohu is not even that serious as it is not that common and not visible any longer. One can easily inter marry with them. Osu is more serious. They never mentioned it, only the Ohu caste system. Even the church could not eradicate it (Osu) as some things are better left as it is. |
QuinQ:I wrote a thesis on this caste system in Igbo land during my University years and interviewd some traditional rulers and elders in many towns and villages in Enugu and Imo state and I can authoritatively tell you that Ohu and Osu are not the same. Ohu is a common slave owned by a person or a family and the offsprings automatically inherits it, while Osu is one owed by or betrothed to the gods of the land. Interestingly, most of these Osu being freeborns, willingly consecrated themselves to the gods so as to avoid punishment for a crime commited, like murder etc, thereby becoming immune to prosecution as no one dares touch what belongs to the gods. The person is now under a convenant with the god and is being protected by it. This is usually done via a blood covenant and the person in question and his/her offsprings becomes the property of the God he/she has sold their soul to forever. Hence the freeborns tag them as Osu. Ohu, which is a slave owned by a freeborn can be undone. It only takes the master to give his word and he/she becomes free. Reason this community can easily set them free to become equal and freeborns. It is commendable. The Osu which involves a blood convenant cannot be undone easily. Reason being that the ancestors who entered the convenant with the gods has all passed on and a blood convenant can only be broken by them and not the offsprings. If you marry one, automatically you become one. No two ways about it. They are often blessed with immense riches by the gods, but then they mostly die mysteriously and untimely. |
helinues:When Boko Haram started under the administration of Good luck Jonathan, churches were being bombed on the steadyband thousands of Christians were killed. Is your memory that dull? Now lately, Christians in Benue,Taraba and other states are being massacred on the steady and thousands have been unalived by these non state actors with the government doing little or nothing in checkmating these terrorists who attack helpless citizens in their communities at night and massacre them. The killing of Rebecca and many others for so called blasphemy which were endorsed by the leaders who should instead have condemned the acts and bring the perpetrators to book are also glaring. In as much as most of these killings may not have religious undertones, the truth remains that Christians are being killed because most of the targeted communities are majorly Christians. The truth is that the American government knows much more than me and you on this matter, based on the Intel's they have gathered. And we all will be shocked when they make these Intel's available to the public . Have you sat down to ask your self who the sponsors of these terror groups are? Why are they untouchable and why it seems the government has failed in stopping them? These are the questions every sane Nigeria should be asking |
Quelme:What he is cooking is going to be SWEET. ![]() |
This should serve as a wake up call to everyone. Nigerians are hungry. The cost of living is too high and something must be done urgently by the government to address the situation. |
Bestunclejoe:In as much as I want to agree with them on this, but then, not all Nigerian youths are lazy. There are millions of Nigerian youths ready and ever willing to engage in legitimate work. Go to our markets, you see Nigerian youths engaged in carrying loads for suppliers and for people who bought plenty goods. You can see them engaged in other legitimate works too. The bulk of the blame should fall on those elected in political offices, who has failed to create an enabling environment for job creation through thier actions and inactions. Those who loot our commonwealth and leaves the country more impoverished than they met it in office. Those who loot our commonwealth and use it in building companies, hospitals, refineries, and highrise buildings abroad, thereby creating zero jobs in Nigeria. Those who would rather destroy other people's legitimate businesses because of political differences, thereby destroying means of livelihood for the youths engaged in the businesses. The scenarios are endless. In all, the government should be fully blamed. Those engaged in fraud just a product of a government who have failed in their duties. Fraud will reduce drastically when jobs are made available to the youths. Mind you, I do not support fraud or have ever done being involved in one. Presently in a working country where there is job opportunities and zero crime in terms of theft and fraud. |
hilarious but then you just said the truth
