Golftwo, welcome to the world of connectivity! it is greatr to have you on board, Heere we make sure ppl can communicate all around the world (Voice, Video and Data all together at thesame time). This is a very interesting field to be in. One thing about this field is that it is extremely dynamic like most parts of the ICT fields (Application development, Security, etc).

On desire to be a Network Engr. and writing the CCNA exam, I believe it is a good idea. Go for it but please do not read to pass the exam alone. Try and grasp the concepts cos you will find it very useful. Also if you have an enevironment where you can practice this things, this will definitely give you a leverage.

I don't know if you already have stuff for the exam. Can I have an Idea of what you do now? Have worked to some level with operating systems. Please fill me in on any info that you think I can need to provide some guidance.

In my own opinion it has already been stated clearly, it all boils down to character! Moreover in as much as there are no contraditions in God we must realize the way God deals with us differ very much.

I once heard this joke of a preacher that flew to another part of the world to give a sermon. At the end of the sermon, the host church decided to entertain him, and they offered him a Glass of beer. He was shocked.
Narrating his account when he got to his home church he said "After I had finished speaking to the congregation andf the service ended. My host decided to give me a treat, guess what he (the host) strted with; A glass of beer!! I was so shocked that the Cigar in my mouth almost fell out".

Now tell me who is right or wrong between this guys. This is not about trousers guys, it is about our committment to God. If I were to ask everyone he is truly Holy, rightueous by what he can see in his life, I do not expect to get a yes I am. If I do, then the person is not righteous cos he has just lied.

The Networking field is vast that, I really doon't know where to start from but if you ask questions then we both can search out the answers. For example in the networking field, we can consider topics like, Routing, Switching, Access control / Security. You can also consider subjects like technical training, Cisco Certification, Juniper Certification etc, the field is broad but we all can attempt to start something

I am currently working on some Cisco certification and am looking for deep industry experience with networking equipment, not necessarily only Cisco equipment.

I am a Nigerian in Nigeria and this is my conclusion of the nigeria issue. We all have a slave mentality!!! We have all refused to accept that we are the architect of our own destiny, we all just love to blame everything else but us for what is wrong. I am not talking in general terms now but as an Individual, how often do you hold yourslef responsible for the wrong happening to you or in your environment? We prefer to blame something or someone else, the most despicable is to blame the devil, this one I find amazing!

I think it is time we start calling ourselves to order as individuals, if I am disciplined and you choose to be disciplined and say 1 percent of Nigerians choose to be , the country will improve. Ask yourself when last did you tell a simple truth? Ahah! u cannot even remeber, ok for those who do tell the truth. when last did you correct the errant bike man (Okada rider) for going on the wrong lane, or the Bus driver for going on the wrong lane, interestingly you were probabaly in the bus but because you are in a hurry, u were actually thanking God that the guy was doing the wrong thing! The bus guy was facing on coming vehicle.

The solution to this negative Nigerian thing is that I start with myself, I will do my best to be positive , rather than saying something like we do not have credible leaders in power, I'd rather say how can we get credible leaders into power, if we ask the right questions we'll get the right answers, if we ask the wrong questions We'll definitely get same kinda answers,

Like I always say, I BE NAIJA TILL I DIE, I go go yankee or Jand, BUt NAIJA NA MY BLOOD, Na for my eye this country go become great pass the ones wey my Papa or grand pa talk about. NAIJA FOR LIFE,

I cannot claim to be a Networking guru, but i have keen interest in networking.

You really need to be more precise on what you want to know about routers or the networking field, and we all can share ideas that will enhance our performance as we advance in our careers.

I can start by saying without routers there are no internetwork communcations, U most likely do not need a router for communcation within a network but if there must be communication between networks or internetwork-communication then you need a router. The router will have connections or interfaces to the networks that are communicating either directly or indirectly. Indirectly meaning there might be several networks between the communcating networks.

I hope this makes things clear enough for a start. I am assuming you are just starting out in this field which is why I attempted to do this introduction. Like I said I am willing to share resouces if need be
