I can see why they always attach to the SS. I really don't have any problem with their affiliation but their lies, revisionism, blackmail etc often irritate me.
seriously!
I strongly support their agitation!,but they are creating enemies for themselves with their methodology
lastmessenger: which peoples land? Is it your land that will be dredged? You should forget sentiment and reason the economic development the dredging of the river and building of the port will bring to the south east.
The following set of people really failed you guys: -GEJ
-Anyim pius Anyim
-Okonjo iweala
-Stella oduah
-ike ekweremadu They should have worked on the dredging!
like olusegun obasanjo failed yorubas on lagos-ibadan expressway.
however,an hausa fulani yaradua made an attempt to dregde it but it was never completed.
julietm123: Well, I haven't seen the other thread. You never wrote that it was in response to a previous thread. If that's the case I won't comment further. I will also check out the previous thread.
julietm123: OK, we have heard. Igbo this, Igbo that. Igbos say they want restructuring or Biafra, yes. You are here crying more than the bereaved. OCD PATIENT. YOU WONT SURVIVE A DAY WITHOUT MENTIONING IGBOS. EMELUM GI EBELE. NDO O.
This thread ia actually a response to a thread opened by one of you guys to incite the yorubas.yIGBOs are always on the offensive side.
when yorubas now retaliate you guys will now be playing VICTIM CARD!..
zenmaster: Stay in your rat infested Nigger-Area republic
Igbo amaka
Tell the deputy senate president of zoological rat infested Nigger-Area republic senator ike ekweremadu the pig of the zoo to move motion for biafra referendum
zenmaster: Support Biafra and quit engaging in mediocre thinking habits
I support biafra totally.I'm just waiting for all southeast governors, ekweremadu, successful igbo men and women and all southeast senator to push for referendum
not this set of jobless TANoid,PDPic IPOBs that will call for biafra today and defend GEJ government that couldnt dash them biafra on a plater tomorrow
lastmessenger: your land has never experienced war and yet osun ekiti and the rest save lagos are all looking like villages with brown roof all over the place. Tell.me is that something to be proud. You don't have any arguement . we cant be worse if we get the freedom we need
While the who yIGBOLAND is still like forest.with bush and red mud every where save anambra which still look a little bit like village!
lastmessenger: since u know we can leverage with our closeness with pH and all why are you now crying more than us .why don't they allow Igbo's be on their own and see if really they will suffer as you are predicting. In the mist of subjugation and negative policies we are still striving, tell how we will not strive when we stay on our own and build our own country.
I know you are not Afonja.but yIGBO(s) will shout Afonja because they actually thought Afonja is the cause of all their failures in life!,including the biafra war they loss and how ojukwu absconded dressing like woman!
so,just neglect them!.....Afonjas are naturally ahead in Nigeria already and a tribe in the east thought na dem glory them dey use, them no no say na God
lastmessenger: we the south easterners should be the one crying for the so called unforeseen suffering you are here to campaign but unfortunately a south west guy is crying for us. For the records, Nigeria industrialization is centered around. Lagos.the seaport, the airport are in Lagos giving the south west states some leverage over other states in the federation but still we have the likes of osun and the rest not meeting up salary demand. Ekiiti is actually a glorified village. You guys have the country swinged to favour you and yet we don't see much to that effect. Meanwhile here in the SE,no seaport,no international airport until recently and very few government presence yet we are not performing bably even after coming out from the rubble of the war. Is this not an indication that we can do without the God forsaken country where injustice rules. All us and see us develop our indigenous technology when the Biafra is achieved. Igbo's will never suffer and has never been worse off since Nigeria started. We are strong people and can do without the country
and all southeast states can meet up with salary payment
There is nothing that is lagos that is not in rivers and igweocha(portharcourt),why cant southeast states leverage on that?.....the act of using sea port and airport s in lagos as excuse for your failures is stale and overused
attackgat: Well at least you know that before anyone can be a wife, there must have been a marriage first. Britain is a marriage becausethe Kingdoms of Scotland, Wales and England signed the 1707 "Act Of Union" that produced the United Kingdom. So at least they agreed to be together, so they can talk about due process.
At no time did the Igbo nation agree to be part of Nigeria. Like others, we were all roped into this British colonial contraption called Nigeria.
Now the Igbo nation is making it clear that this illegal country created in 1914 can no longer stand and we demand a referendum to determine our continued participation in Nigeria, or not.
Yes indeed, we are people kidnapped.
They actually agreed...awolowo in the west, ahmadu bello in north and azikwe in the east and they negotiated for basis of the union which was true federalism!
The basis of the union was disrupted by the soldiers and the soldiers replaced what our founding fathers negotiated for(true federalism) with unitary system. For our existence together to be meaningful we must go back to what our founding fathers that merged us together settled for which was true political and fiscal federalism.
Even the northerners that currently oppose to restructuring, their political mentor, ahmdu bello never supported unitary system of government.
omonnakoda: We all agree on that the issue is methodology. These Eboes are often too emotional and impulsive. I suggest you watch how the Yoruba go about it over the next few years.
We must not forget though that we had regional Autonomy until Aguiyi Ironsi enacted Decree 34 . Before then Regions had resource control. The Eboes were happy with Decree 34 in January 1966 but changed their minds in July. I wonder why
yeah, then western region was the fastest growing region in Africa then untill it was disrupted by a selfish group of soldiers (kaduna nzeogwu and aguyi ironsi) both Igbo(s).That is why I laughed when one fool claim the yorubas will lose if the country is restructured back to what our founding fathers negotiated for!
omonnakoda: Igboland IS CONQUERED TERRITORY just like every other place in NIgeria. They were all conquered by the British and handed over to "NIGERIA" whatever that means. The Igbo tried to escape and NIGERIA recaptured them and brought them back into their cage
you are right.
the union should be renegotiated!
though we are better off together,if we could practice pure federalism or cofenderation!
beamtopola: But the technologies of these country you mention are not the same. What USA has is more than oil. what sa has is more than oil, but in Nigeria we can't do without oil. oil is wealth, my dear. ask Saudi Arabia and UAE.
attackgat: You have no argument. The important thing to note is that Britain that created Nigeria was disposed to giving two of its contituent parts, Northern Ireland and Scotland, referendum without anyone moving any motion of independence in London
In that same vain, Nigeria should be disposed to granting the Igbos or Igbo land, a referendum without the need for anyone moving a motion in Abuja.
well, you have a point. When Igboland is not a conquered territory!....but the igbo leaders that could make things happen are not pushing for it.Ekweremadu is just sitting in the senate doing nothing!
lastmessenger: We are not better than the west before the war owing to the fact that Lagos was once the FCT and all infrastructure was concentrated there. Lagos is not the way it because the Yoruba people worked hard or anything but because major Nigeria industrial development was concentrated there. After the civil war the whole east was destroyed by bombing and my people lost there properties all over the federation but how these same people came to become a contending force after having lost all during the civil war leaves one to wonder what the arrival of the Biafra will be like. We as Igbo's will always survive. People say we love money and I am not afraid to accept we love money. It is better to like money and work hard than marrying many wives bearing many children and trowing parties up and down and be waiting for handouts from the FG every single month. Wake up op we don't need oil money to survive. We make things happen.
Go and read history about lagos industrialization. The first industrial estate was established in ikeja by obafemi awolowo.
Also, lagos was not only the factor, -before independence ibadan was the largest and most vibrant city in Nigeria even above lagos. -the first skyscraper ibadan -first TV station ibadan -first modern stadium ibadan -free education ibadan etc are all because of lagos? and I think northerners understand this, that is why they dont normally shout that lagos and yorubas by extension underdeveloped them!
stop using lagos as an excuse for your backwardness and stop blaming others for your failure, blameshifting sI very characteristic of yIGBOs.Also, southeast and the north depend on handout from government than any other regions
lastmessenger: Igbo's came out from the rubbles of the war to become what they are today and you think we need the country to live and survive. Mr op think well. I know what my people are capable of but the Nigerian system is doing all it can to subjugate them
No system is subjugating you!...stop the excuse!...are you not the one controlling 75% of the economy has you've always chest beat?'..so,how are they subjugating you!?
By the way, before the war self, are you anyway better than western region?
