Great, we'll take it up offline but want to add this here just for someone else.

Once Unilag sends your transcript, there's a logbook where your name and tracking number is written. So you can always check that book to pick your tracking number and date it was sent. The logbook is easy to access, placed on a desk without any restriction to view.

Never knew this.Mine is over a month;I went there on Weds and was told it hasn't been sent.They apologised and said they will work on it asap.Thanks for this info,will go back there on Monday.

I forwarded my certificate via hello fax.the school is actually ment to send it along with your transcript so far u attached it along with the oda form signed by you...but this is nigeria...errors could occur....hellofax doesnt cost anytin

You can fax it to them yourself. If you didn't attach it to the forms you submitted to Unilag, then you'll have to do it yourself

I don't have any contact in Unilag,I just applied the normal way.Someone on the thread said it takes approximately 6 weeks. But while reading the thread ,I observe that people have been sending their certificates so I decided to ask so I won't be waiting in vain.

yes you need to send the certificate yourself. there is a fax number people on this thread use to save courier cost just search the thread.

also try getting the tracking number from your contact in unilag so you know when wes receives the transcript.

Good morning all,For those who attended UNILAG,pls do I still need to personally send my certificate to WES?
I thought the school will do everything for me,cos I paid 18.5k (processing n courier fees).Kindly let me know if I need to send anything to WES.

As promised, here is my story:

- IELTS: LRSW 8 8.5 8.5 8 One attempt
- CRS: 413 ITA cut off: 413
- POF: I edited amount Post-ITA to exactly 12,300CAD and did not write LOE. Gift deed was 90% of POF from my uncle. I got the bank reference letter in CIC format from UBA, so I did not attach statements of accounts.
- NOC code: I edited the NOC code post ITA and did not write LOE.
- Employment: I used my NYSC experience from 7 years ago alone. Got a reference letter from ppa and that was all I attached. No complimentary cards or proof of payment. Presently unemployed as well.
- I submitted schedule A upfront as I had 3 US visa denials in the past.
- LOE: I attached LOE in individual placeholders as needed eg LOE for FBI PCC in Police reports, LOE for gift deed in POF etc. Non-specific ones were in LOE placeholder.

Can you have gaps in employment? YES. Can you apply while unemployed? YES. Can you edit NOC and POF post ITA? YES. Can you use a gift deed? YES. Can you use NYSC? YES pls! Was I determined? YES. Was I the most qualified? NO! The Lord looked upon me in His mercy and love and honoured me. I remain forever grateful.

They sent me a mail requesting my birth certificate, waec result and any relevant unilag document. I have given that to them. Bur Application is yet to reach WES. I tire pass you

It depends on your contact. I was told 4 to 6 weeks but mine was sent after a week & few days(i delayed the process) but you should confirm if it has been sent because I confirmed my document was delivered to WES but they have refused to update my status.

You don't need it to submit an Express Entry profile but you might if you get an ITA at a later stage

For adults, your birth certificate is not required. Your international passport will suffice.

However, I will suggest you do an affidavit for this and KEEP for future use.

Good day all,pls on my birth certificate ,my first name is spelt out as "Oluwab..." While on all my school certificates and other official documents and ID Cards ,"Olub..." is written. There is an omission of "wa".I have been using the birth certificate that way and no one has ever raise an alarm.With respect to Express Entry,do I need to swear an affidavit? How do I go abt it?

There is no assurance as to when it will get there and whether it won't get missing along the line. You may have to go back to courier after waiting so long for NIPOST

If they are from the same institution, just save yourself the stress that may show up during verification and evaluate both. But if they are from different institutions, you can evaluate only the masters.

Is it compulsory I verify my Bachelor's Degree? I want to do a WES evaluation on my Masters only. Kindly respond to my question.

WES is faster for UNILAG but only if you can get someone fast track it for you. I can link you up with someone but it would be at additional cost. Transcript request cost N2,500 and courier to Canada cost N16000. Though they can use NIPOST for N400 but delivery is at your own peril.

Good day all, I am just about starting my Express entry process after having been following this thread for a while. I must confess that this thread is highly informative. For anyone who graduated from UNILAG,which is the best for ECA? Is it IQAS or WES. Also do I need to go to Unilag or do it online? How much would it cost me? Your response(s) will be appreciated
