I am not sure where it is now. I called someone in unilag on Monday and he mentioned that it's usually received at the registrars office and taken to Senate for the verification to be sent but there's no one to check for it and respond as they started the strike that morning.

Ok let's hope the strike gets called off quickly.

It's strike ooo. Non academic staff union. So the people to attend to it are at home indefinitely. I pray it ends soon.

Yeah, i wasn't in church for some best reason known to me today, but I'm sure the man of God didn't put the message that way. I've always known Tithing is not compulsory, but necessary for Christians that can actually afford it. What then is the big deal in paying your tithes when you work?

Let's be reasonably be guided. They still teach us SALVATION in MFM and some other living churches. It's a pity most of us rubbishing our men of God are Christians.

After I got the tracking no,it got to WES in about 4-5days.Although it took almost a month before Unilag sent the transcript.

for transcript I pay 2k5 for processing and 400 for postal, it got to wes after 4 weeks.

wes has sent my documents to Unilag for verification. A lot of people here have said the verification is free so I will wait for a week or 2 to confirm that if not will have to pay as stated on the transcript portal.

You are not required to pay for verification I confirmed from about 3 Staff at the Records office on Monday.

WES sent me a mail that verification for my documentation has been sent to my School since 21st of November and up till now my School claims it hasn't been received.

Please what mode does WES use while sending for verification . Mail or Courier.

I have a trusted relative following up with the registrars office on my behalf. I do not just know what to do now as I do not have the time to go to the school myself neither do I know what next to do.

Mine was sent since November 14th and Unilag claims it hasn't received it.I went to the records office and was told it often takes 3 weeks or earlier before they receive the verification mail(by post) and they usually respond immediately. I was advised to be patient.You can find out how soon your school receives Verification mail from WES.

Sure,we are at the same stage and verification is free as much as I know. It takes 1-2 weeks as learnt from this thread.

(Please note that 2.5k is the standard fee for transcript processing and any additional money is for the postage fees(whether courier ,postal or any means).In my own case, I paid 16k for Courier and my transcript got to WES few days(like 3days) after I got my tracking no.)

Let me understand you clearly, have you paid the mandatory 18,500(2,500 for processing and 16,000 for Courier)?

If you have done that,are you at the stage of waiting for Unilag to reply WES?

Kindly state the stage your hubby is; because my own ECA is on going and I'm only waiting for Unilag to respond to WES(I.e. verify the documents already received). Pls note that WES has acknowledged the receipts of my Transcript(sent by Unilag) and Certificate (sent by me).

It's not free.You will ,first of all, apply to WES online for your ECA,then you will go to Unilag to apply for your transcript to be sent to WES.Unilag will request that you pay 18,500 in the bank(I used Ecobank beside the bookshop).Before you make payment,go to the business centre to generate payment advice(I used the biz centre inbetween Ecobank and bookshop) then proceed to the bank.After making payment,go back to the biz centre to process your transcript online(the lady collected 1k from me).

Once you collect your print out,make a photocopy and go to the Records office(in Senate building),try to talk to anyone who could help fast track it for you.

Remember to take note of your WES Reference Number,you will need it.

**Verification is free ,it's only your transcripts you will pay for**

*Also,you are required to send a copy of your certificate to WES(I faxed mine via Hellofax - I read all the instructions on this thread.Try to search the thread,you will find the procedure.)

Unilag will usually respond in 1-2 weeks. But I've seen cases where they don't respond at all, cos they get several verification requests. In other instances, they could take longer than 1-2 weeks. Personally, I had to have the verification request sent twice before unilag responded. They simply didn't see the first one, according to them.

So, you may have to follow up. If you go to the Senate building during visiting times, you should be able find someone to talk to who'll tell you if your verification request has been attended to. Unilag typically responds by email.

I see you've done the "honorable" thing ... Oya, Hephgirl comman ansa.

I'd say two weeks maximum. Unilag should all things being equal respond within two weeks, and without you interfering. If however you don't get a profile update in two weeks, please carry your legs and pay Unilag a visit. Your ECA might just be ready about mid next month.

I followed your instructions and saw that my transcript is in transit(ready for air transportation) on Courier Plus website.I got a 14 digit reference no which I inputed on WES website as my tracking no.The response I got was "We have not received the package yet." Thanks so much for the kind help,you and other "elders" are rendering on this thread.
