We were bragging, we make mouth, we needed to be humble bla bla bla, other European teams brag, make mouth even, they still win 95% of their matches.

Biko we don't have coaches, we have never had a coaching team that has worked. Even the 1994 whatever team, we have never had a good administrative body too, a structure with a proper educational football system, inculcating philosophy and technical football education in age grade, school, local clubs and national team, we must take football for the profession it is and give it the necessary structure it deserves, our talents will never flourish, we only rely on individual players and how much they push us.

Overall the whole footballing system needs a proper structure, and the plan for the next two world cups and next 4 nations cup should begin in earnest, we should forget short term success and create a proper footballing culture and system. Till then we should accept whatever crumbs we see, and circles of failures with a sprinkle of success once in a while.

Loose to italy, loose to denmark, loose to Argentina over over, loose to ghana, loose to Cameroon, loose to north African teams over and over again, for the past 20 decades, yet no growth in philosophy tactically and technically, no proper Structure, just a sprinkle of okocha, kano, Mikel, osimhen, vibes and inshallah..

The point is in 3-4-3 the wide midfielders basically function as wingbacks so the two central midfielders have to do the job themselves

assuming osimhen is the 9, iheanacho and Dennis will always drop in field and choke up the midfield, putting pressure on the defensive midfield box, the d.m will most likely throw a long huff aimless pass or pass back to the goalie, and the goalie huff a pass too, and if we can win balls in that d.m box of Ghana, we will thrash them, it's just about tactics and tactical awareness.

Ghana did not even create any clear scoring chances funny enough for all thier huff and puff.

Nigeria created 3 scoring chances one half chance.

Aribo and moses chances were very good scoring chances, for our playing poorly, match could have ended 3-0 for us, tells you how good the Nigerian team is.

3-4-3 will present the same problem as 4-4-2, 2 central midfielders if we are to beat Ghana we have to outnumber them or atleast match them in midfield

They will keep a player on ekong and balogun, they will sit back, expect our wingers to keep dribbling thier way from oniitsha to idumota, win the ball, pass to partey, and immediately Jordan and arena pick up pace running at our defense, this will be thier tactics, and they can sneak a goal or two, Abuja pitch is perfect for all kind of football.
Their tactics would over work sef and they will beat us or drags us to penalty if egwaveon doesn't change tactics, and one or two personnel, tweak his style too.

Aribo and onyeka as cm and d.m collectively, with one of them not moving past the centre circle and the other roaming around the center circle and the box.

Give me me a front 3 of iheanacho Dennis and osimhen. With them interchangeably changing positions through out the game.

This is pretty basic, gives us control of the game
through midfield steel.
Same back line as the game yesterday.

Aribo, onyeka and bonke. Bonke the sitting 4, onyeka c.m, Aribo an 8/10 always close to the strikers and roaming into the box.
Front of simon, osimhen and Dennis, if Simon plays rubbish, yank him off and bring in lookman, also moving osimhen to a wing and bringing in an ighalo can be a lethal.

Enough said, there is a lot we can try with our players without going foo faraway from basic and totally changing philosophy, so much unpredictability in our play can come, and its annoying we are this predictable to read.

Ae should sit up... I like him, he should sit up. The whole coaching team, need to start to thinking in and outside the box pre and during game play biko.

This one kept repeating itself. Many happened in front of the coach. I was like is he blind. In one, Zaidu made the move to Simon. Overlapped behind him. The channel to Zaidu was closed down. Nacho opened up in the hole to get a pass from Simon, which if it had happened Zaidu will be on a freeway. No Simon didn't make that pass. He hugged the ball and tried to wriggle his way. Utter rubbish. Chukwueze was doing the same. Simple one touch football. Our wingers simply didn't play with the team. You can take on a player when one is in front of you, but trying to dribble 2-3 players over and over again is madness. Just recycle the ball. Simple.

Pass to your free full back, immediately iheanacho, osimhen and aribo attacks the box as a cross comes in, the wingers at the edge to recycle to the ball and d.m in midfield...
Simple cross and nod over and over would had added versatility to our play, meaning the opposition would not know whether we are crossing or dribbling in again, the chance to dribble and shoot would have come from thier confusion.
But from afcon till now, we still ignore that strength and keep doing same thing, same route. Omoh we have players for versatility on the pitch, not this route one football.

Let me see the miracle

My issue in this game.

Simple passes from chukwueze and Simon to aina and zaidu while running in field hereby creating a proper cross and nod chance is being ignored.
Ghana have not been tracking our full back over lapping run, but our winger are not tactically aware enough and they keep repeating same trying to dribble in field and loosing the ball.
In this hot weather allow the ball move for you when you are in possession with simple passes and run.


Ahhh I hope our coaches are seeing this..


Remove Iheanacho bring in ighalo or sadiq, remove chukwueze or Simon and bring in Dennis.

We must learn to play simple smart football sometimes, egwaveon and crew what are you doing??
