Pls I need advice, I have B.sc geology and a Msc in petroleum Geoscience both from nigeria. I currently don't want to do a phd in petroleum geology considering the current sitiation in the oil industry. I want to switch to environmental management or geomatics. I am currently looking at applying to USASK and University of New Brunswick. I have a feeling the VO will raise a red flag at doing another Msc. I am in a fix. Pls can the guru in the house advice.

hello house I have 2 questions.

Are students with Nigerian Msc accepted for Phd in canadian schools?

solid minerals are actually unsung heroes. We have virtually all the most important solid mineral. Gold, zinc, iron, tin e.t.c all lying wasted. This country ni get business poverty. I think what we have now can be a bless if we all decide to look into something else.

I am a Petroleum geoscientist with about 3years experience in the oil and gas industry. During this period I have been involved in various projects both onshore and offshore Niger Delta. I have excellent knowledge of both the Niger Delta and the Lower Benue Trough.

I am currently working as a freelance geoscientist and would like to work with geoscientists involved in various projects. The main aim is to contribute and share knowledge. Areas of interest include petroleum geochemistry, petroleum geology, sedimentology, formation evaluation, earth modelling and field mapping projects. Hit me up if you have challenges and lets work through it together.

I also want to create a forum for geoscientists to share knowledge through simple and short articles. Though there is downturn in the petroleum industry, there are still lots of opportunity and with the current drive to develop the solid mineral sector we indeed have lots to offer.
