Lana1:If going to the bank is your objective for supporting a football team then I can not help you sir. As I said again I will take ugly tactical football over sexy attacking football as long as we get the THREE points on the log. Continue to play attacking football and end up with a 3-3 draw and one point while Jose will play ugly football and get three points. I take ugly football and three points every day. By the way football is a tribal sport and I will always support the manager who gets the job done! |
sinizia:Ha!Ha!Ha! Including the fans expressing their love for Gabriel Jesus of Manchester city ?As I said Jose can play his team any way it suits him and as long as the team gets the job done,I am with him 100%. What is the essence of playing open attacking football and ending up with a 3-3 draw on your home ground like Chelsea? Ha!Ha! Play dirty football, play ugly football but get the damn job done. I will always take three points over one point any day. |
Ha! Ha! Mourinho's team may be boring, but he is getting the job done. Three games played in the champions league, nine points on the log. Different teams, different tactics. Pogba,Rojo and Zlatan still to come back. Keep on criticizing Jose. The true United fans are enjoying this. |
CapitalCee:Bros, Thank you for exposing the falsehood. I remember that Fergie used to throw the kitchen sink at lesser teams in order to force a victory but against the top teams he was restrained and very cautious and tried to sneak a win. Jose did the same thing today and instead of being positive for a valuable draw against our most bitter rivals on their home turf so called fans are here lamenting as if we lost the match. |
CapitalCee:Whatever the reason,Jose appears to be the issue why a fan will continue to grumble about a club he/she claims to support. I just try to quote some of them so that at the end of the season when they start their double speak,we can see them for their true colours. Some of them criticized Jose last season when he decided to focus on the Europa but immediately We tactically defeated Ajax, they started screaming Champions league baby! |
CapitalCee:Leave them. Most of them have their hidden agenda. Hate Jose all you want but at this critical time learn to support the colours. |
pharod:I have nothing more to say to you if you choose to spin my post to suit yourself. |
CapitalCee:Very true again. They forgot our style of play under Moyes and Van Gaal because they have issues with Jose. Fergie as a proponent of throwing the kitchen sink at certain opposition was also very very cautious Against top opposition teams. Mourinho did very well today with his tactics that got us a valuable point and I am sure if Lukaku had put that one chance he played into Mignolets hands into the net,the fair weather fans would have been singing a different tune by now. |
CapitalCee:Thank you sir. |
Lana1:QUOTED. |
pharod: ![]() I have nothing to say to you until the season ends. The positives of this team out's the negatives. I quoted you for reference at the end of the season. |
Lana1:You know what I am saying,he got us back into the Champions League by winning the Europa League. He won the League cup. He won the Charity shield. He will only do better this season no matter what you think. I have absolute confidence in Jose and I believe he and the team he is building will only get better. I will only judge his progress in May 2018. Into then I will continue to support the red colours, no matter his tactics. I suggest you do the same if you are a TRUE United supporter but if you are a closet Citeh supporter like a lot of pretenders on this board, you are free to continue to criticize. I await the matches between United and Citeh,Spurs or any other rivals to the throne. |
hoopLA:Some so called fans appear to have forgotten The kind of footy we played under Louis Van Gaal and David Moyes so soon. We were terrible in those days. Moyes was even saying we should be looking up to teams like City and Chelsea. That can never be the comments from a manager of Manchester United. Now we have a manager who believes we are on equal footing with any club in Jose, the onus is on us as fans to back him up and support The colours no matter how he chooses to play his team. I am fully behind Mourinho,no matter the tactics he employs as long as he takes us back to the summit of football. He did it last season and I have absolute confidence in him that he will do it again this season. |
Hours later,we can now see the intelligence in not engaging Liverpool in an open slugfest. What sense does it make to go gung-ho attacking Liverpool and lose? We got a valuable and important point at the home of our fiercest rivals. This same Liverpool thrashed Arsenal 4-0! Many of our rivals will lose at Anfield this season if they go gung-go and play an open game with Liverpool. Crystal Palace-2 Chelsea-1. Watford-2 Arsenal-1. I will gladly take that one point. Thank you. |
Wura27:Why not open a thread for Manchester City where you can gush over them all day? Then you wouldn't have to pretend to support United. |
MorataFC:From your moniker,I assume you are a Chelsea fan? Why not mind your team that is being ripped apart all afternoon by Wilfred Zaha. Crystal Palace 2 Chelsea 1. The jokes on your team mate. A team that hasn't won all season is ripping Chelsea apart. What an embarrassment. |
GloryIsaac:Better. Support the colours and the manager. |
GloryIsaac:The tactical thing to do is to get out of the group on top. One game at a time. How can you think of the semi finals, when we are still in the group stages ![]() I repeat again De Gea is part of the defensive formation and in my opinion Liverpool only troubled him once throughout the game and he made a reactive save to keep the ball out with his foot. |
GloryIsaac:Then what is the point of playing with a goalkeeper. Why not go gung-ho and play without a goalkeeper and instead play with eleven strikers because you want to score fourgoals in every match. I repeat the goal keeper In any team is part of the defensive tactics. This is elementary. I repeat there are at least six teams with genuine title aspirations in this League. Each of them with a world class coach. The difference between these teams is not much. The difference between The coaches is not much. It therfore follows that the coach with the better tactical game plan in the long run will win the league at the end of the season. |
larride:Maybe, but the rivalry between Liverpool and United made it safer to play for a draw and catch them on the counter. Unfortunately Lukaku fired the only chance at Mignolet. Like I said the onus is now on our rivals to go to Anfield and beat Liverpool and get all the three points to the one we gained. |
GloryIsaac:Champions League-different tournament from the English premier League. Different tournament, different tactics. It is not to play gung-ho football,it is to be tactical. And I assure you the team with the better tactics will win the Premier League this season. And while you are at it,can you remind me the name of the club David De gea plays for ![]() |
MorataFC:What are you objecting to. If that game continued till the next day,Liverpool would not have broken that defence. |
Nihilist:This argument again. Is De gea part of the United defence or not? De gea is part of the defensive sheild created by Jose to neutralize Liverpool. The onus is now on our fellow title contenders to go to Anfield and beat Liverpool to show they are better than us. Once again a Mourinho tactical defensive master class and a very precious and valuable point gained. |
larride:Tactics my friend. This is a precious point gained. The objective was to defend and catch them on a counter, unfortunately The chance that fell to Lukaku was saved by Mignolet. |
sinizia:At the end of the season you will understand The one point gained at the home of your biggest rivals and the importance. This was a Mourinho master class in defending and neutralizing a very dangerous opponent. |
Objective achieved. Mourinho totally neutralised the attacking threat of Liverpool. A point achieved is better than no points at the home ground of your most bitter rivals. Different opposition, different tactics. |
I learnt a new word today.....FUCKERNIZER. ![]() While I agree Bidemi Kosoko has a reputation as a who're,it doesn't excuse the fact that your Aremo being a dirty dog waited until you travelled to Dubai before picking up Bidemi and even bringing her into your home and fuckernize her on your and his matrimonial bed. Your husband does not come out of this smelling of roses in my opinion. |
Two thieves. The oga patapata thief don tell dem make the two of dem die the matter-this is the end result. Nigeria politics is chop-make-I-chop. I just pity those masses fighting themselves on social media on behalf of these rogues and criminals because of primordial tribalistic rubbish. These politicians are our enemies but majority of us are too blind to see that this is just a deal gone bad. Politicians have no permanent enemies, they are all crooks and only pretend to be squeaky clean in order to deceive the blind electorate, who are too blind to see because of tribalism,While these criminals Rob me and you blind. |
30 shots of Tequila because of 200 k? You are 35 years old and a 24 year old kid made you drink 30 shots of Tequila because of 200 thousand Naira? I not in support of Davido but this Tagbo guy killed himself and played himself if they autopsy confirms he died from alcohol over dose. |
BetaThings:I am not talking about Biafra here. I am talking about Asaba people who were invaded by Biafrans forcefully. Later Asaba was liberated by Federal troops who proceeded to line up all the males in Asaba and gun them down in cold blood. This is a group of people caught in the cross fire between Two warring factions by fate. The history of that massacre needs to be discussed so that such a horrendous cold blooded murder does not repeat itself. If we can have monuments and boulevards named after the perpetrators of this crime, then common sense dictates that the victims of this massacre, the nameless males of Asaba should have a monument built in their remembrance. |
I learnt of the Asaba massacres from a friend who hailed from Asaba back in the 80's. I tried to do my personal research on the incident but found it was totally blacked out of Nigerian history. We need to discuss These terrible issues of genocide in order not to repeat the mistakes. Two wrongs never a right made. Murtala Muhammad was said to have invaded the Central Bank in Benin and committed a lot of atrocities He later became a Head of State. His portrait is on our currency. Airports and roads are named after him to eulogise him. Why can't we discuss his mistakes and errors without being censored? Ibrahim Taiwo massacred innocent people at Assaba,he later became a military governor of Kwara state and was assassinated during Dimka's coup in 76. He has roads and monuments named after him. Why can't We discuss his attrocites and errors in order to chart a new path by learning from the past? Any country that refuses to discuss it's past errors and mistakes is doomed to repeat the same in it's future. |
