1. Main Objectives of the Programmes
The overall goal of the Peace and Conflict Studies Programme is to provide quality graduate level training and research to enable students analyze conflicts so as to understand the underlying causes and apply appropriate strategies to manage or resolve them.

In a similar vein, the Gender Studies Programme focus on men and women issues to provide the required knowledge for achieving positive gender relations for effective collaboration in development.

2. Admission Requirements
(a) Master of Science (M.Sc) in Peace and Conflict Studies:For admission into the Master of Science (M.Sc) Programme in Peace and Conflict Studies, a candidate must possess at least a lower Credit in Peace and Conflict Studies or related discipline at the Post Graduate Diploma level.

Also, candidates with degrees in related disciplines from any recognized university with a CGPA of 3.00 on 5-point scale will be considered. O’level requirements are Mathematics, English Language and three other Arts or Science subjects (accepted for registration in the University of Port Harcourt).

(b) Master of Science (M.Sc) in Gender and Women Development Studies: For admission into the Master of Science (M.Sc) Programme in Gender and Women Development Studies,

a candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (at least, a Second Class Honours, Lower Division) in Gender Studies or a Degree in any Field from any recognized university with a CGPA of 3.00 on 5-point scale or a minimum grade of Merit at Post-Graduate Diploma level in Gender Studies.

O’level requirements are Mathematics, English Language and three other Arts or Science subjects (accepted for registration in the University of Port Harcourt).

(a)Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Gender and Women Development Studies: To qualify for admission into the Post-Graduate Diploma Programme, a candidate must possess a minimum of Third Class Degree or its equivalent in any field or discipline with a CGPA of 1.50 on 5-point scale of the University of Port Harcourt or any recognized university.

PROCEDURES OF THE SCREENING EXERCISE
1. Candidates are expected to make a payment of two thousand naira (₦2,000.00) only.

2. Candidates are advised to visit The Federal Polytechnic, Idah website, i.e., www.fepoda.edu.ng and follow the steps below to make payment on-line, fill their details and print out the screening slip:

i. click on “Screening Payment”;

1. Purchase and submission of forms on-line will close by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday 23rd August, 2018.

2. Eligible candidates are expected to attend the screening in two batches as follows:

i. Friday 24/08/2018 – Candidates from all the departments in School of Engineering; School of Technology; and School of Environmental Studies.

QUALIFICATION FOR 100 LEVEL ADMISSION INTO UNIMED

i. Candidates are expected to sit for the UTME and obtain the minimum JAMB cut-off mark for the University admission and other Departmental pre-requisites.

ii, Candidates are also expected to pass the two end of semester examinations and score a minimum overall average grade of 50 at the end of the programme.

How to Obtain UNIMED Pre-Degree Form.
i. Prospective candidates are to visit the University website www.unimed.edu.ng, click on admissions, Pre-Degree Progamrne and duly follow the instruction to print the e-transact invoice.

ii. Pay an application fee of Fifteen thousand naira (N15,000.00) excluding bank charges on e-transact in any bank on the e-transact platform.

iii. Upon confirmation of payment, candidates are to complete and print the Pre-Degree Science Programme (PDSP) Application Form online after payment by logging on to www.unimed.edu.ng and click on the online PDSP Registration Portal.

iv. Submit the Online application form and print out a copy of the Examination Schedule slip.

UCH Ibadan Admission Requirements:
Applicants must:

Be Registered Nurses (RN) with current practice license of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
Have at least five (5) credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in English languages, Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry from WAEC or NECO O’level examinations.
Have at least one (1) year past qualification experience in an acute care setting preferably in a surgical unit.
Have approval for one (1) full year of release from employers or other training Schools.
The course is offered as both residential and full time. The school reserves the right to rusticate any student found to be involved in another course or employment during training without refund of fees paid.
