And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. *Exodus 23:25*

*BIBLE READING*
GENESIS 22:1-18 (KJV)
1. And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.

2. And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

3. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.

4. Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.

5. And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.

6. And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.

7. And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?

8. And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

9. And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.

10. And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.

11. And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.

12. And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.

13. And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

14. And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

15. And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,

16. And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:

17. That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

18. And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

*MESSAGE*
Ephesians 1:3 tells us that we have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ; however, walking in those blessings doesn't come cheap.

God's blessings are invaluable; for instance, the blessing that He pronounced over Abraham in today's Bible reading is still in effect today. Christians, Muslims, Jews, and people from all cultures and nationalities partake in Abraham's blessing because blessings go root-deep.

You must note, however, that Abraham's blessing didn't come cheap; he was willing to sacrifice his only son to God in complete obedience to His will.

God's blessings are available, but as I always say, in God's kingdom, nothing goes for nothing.

When Isaac wanted to bless Esau in Genesis 27:1-4, he asked him to go hunting and prepare a special meal for him with his catch. He wanted Esau to do something special for him to provoke the kind of blessing that nobody can reverse.

While Esau went hunting in the field for a deer, his mother and brother got busy, preparing what Isaac loved. Both sons had to work hard in one way or the other with the aim of receiving their father's blessing.

When God called Abram and asked him to leave his father's house, He pronounced some blessings on him (Genesis 12:1-3). However, those blessings were little compared to the blessing in today's Bible reading, where God swore by Himself.

This is the highest form of blessing that anybody can receive from God, and Abraham did something to provoke it. You can position yourself before God in such a way that will make Him go over and beyond to bless you and your seed.

Years ago, I was at an airport with two heavy bags, and two of my spiritual children approached me. The one who got to me first merely greeted me, while the second not only greeted me but also collected my bags.

I greeted both of them and said, "God bless you" to the one who collected my bags. The other one who only greeted me asked why I didn't bless him too, and I asked him what he had done for me that would have made me bless him.

If the fig tree in Mark 11:12-14 had produced fruit to relieve Jesus of His hunger, it would have received a blessing, not a curse.

Beloved, when you bear fruit for God by serving Him and pleasing Him in all you do, you will receive wonderful blessings that will surpass your imaginations from Him.

*KEY POINT*
Serving God wholeheartedly and pleasing Him attracts His blessings

*AUTHOR: PASTOR E A ADEBOYE*

*BIBLE IN ONE YEAR*
1 SAMUEL 8-12

*HYMN: 30 WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD*
1 When we walk with the Lord
in the light of his word,
what a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
he abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.
Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2 Not a burden we bear,
not a sorrow we share,
but our toil he doth richly repay;
not a grief or a loss,
not a frown or a cross,
but is blest if we trust and obey. [Refrain]

3 But we never can prove
the delights of his love
until all on the altar we lay;
for the favor he shows,
for the joy he bestows,
are for them who will trust and obey. [Refrain]

4 Then in fellowship sweet
we will sit at his feet,
or we'll walk by his side in the way;
what he says we will do,
where he sends we will go;
never fear, only trust and obey. [Refrain]

While this is a sad news and unacceptable , I don't see people condemning Iran here condemning Israel when they do worse .

Imagine Israel and their go yims trying to rationalize killing civilians and destruction of buildings by saying that they drop flyers or warnings ahead , so if a "terrorist" is in such building , he wouldn't have been alerted and leave before the bombing ?

Statistics show that Israel has killed more civillians than Iran by 1000x

This was same night Iran was attacked by both US and its proxy.

Trump, fearing the serious political fall out of his war on Iran, has mounted pressure on its proxy in Occupied Palestine to beg others to join them in the war they imposed on Iran. EU has already declared that it is not their war.

Opposition Leader Yair Lapid met with European Union ambassadors and said that "the best way to shorten the war is for Iran to know it faces a united front of all democratic countries, including the EU." Lapid called on European countries to join the "effort to open the Strait of Hormuz to take away from the Iranians the ability to influence global oil prices."

Foreign Affairs › Is Israel Fighting For Survival Or Dominance by dapadawee(op): 1:07pm On Mar 04
Israel has engaged in so many wars since it establishment in 1948 even before then. The question that recently came to my mimd is, why Israel are they the only nation. What do they want, why do they have many enemies. Though some enemies later became there ally, like Italy and Germany which means it's possible for Iran, Palestine to become Israel's friend just like Saudi Arabian and Egypt whom nation have sign many pacts together. Back to my question is Israel fighting for survival or a dominance. Israel is a small country of about 8million people among the smallest in that region. Secondly, they are the only Jewish country in the middle east. Thirdly, they are the only democratic nation in the middle east and despite the numbers of war they have fought and still fighting they're still the most developed, advanced nation in the middle east. Every other country in that middle east are Islamic countries. Is Israel a trouble maker or a troubled nation.
We can only answer this question by carefully studying the history of the middle east.
1. Every nation in the middle east has lost their heritage, culture and norm to Islamic idiologies except Israel.
2. Every nation has lost their religion to Islam except the Jews.
3. Every nation have lost their constitution to Sharia law except Israel.
Is Israel fighting to preserve their heritag, culture, religion etc. Or they want to impose their beliefs, religion on other nations in the middle east.

Please I want to learn from the historian on this platform.
