Darkage, tears rolled down my eyes while i read your post and i said to myself Nigeria will surely be great again. It is interesting to note that we are working on a youth pressure group and it is called "FUTURE".Will be launched before the end of the year by the grace of God and it is for the youths generally.I tell you we cannot all run from politics because even if we wont get what we want there, some youths have to be there to always keep them on their toes.Since i became very active in politics some years back,You can find out about me from members of Action Congress in oyo State and other parties i have been fighting the so called leaders who are bad.I had a big challenge with one top government functionary recently during the last general election and if you search Google you can read about it.Also while the late Amala politician was alive i confronted him and his clique and i visited people like Senator Ladoja,Adeojo,Lekan Balogun and Senator Ajimobi and made them see reasons why they all have to come together and stop the politics of Adedibuism in Oyo State,Though it didnt work out as you know all these so called politicians always have their own personal interest on issues.By and large i believe we must fight them on all fronts, politically and through pressure groups because little is what a pressure group can achieve like we have seen in the recent past.I Love the masses and surely no matter the circumstances we must fight this war to the end.Even if it is a revolution i am ready to lead to save our people.Once again you have really touched me with your post.God bless you

subice,it is just a matter of time,We will surprise all.but most importantly public office seekers must be thoroughly scrutinized. For me what is happening here is a tonic for my ambition because in a matter of few days i joined Nairaland my campaign has reached all the nooks and crannies of the town even outside Oyo State.People i know and those i dont know have bn n touch with me,some to give advice and some to give support, also some to antagonize.I will ever be grateful to Nairaland cos it has helped me in no small way.Pls let people fire on.We are in a democratic setting

The first thing we must know is that if we can work on a larger percentage of our population to be educated then it will be easy to eradicate the ideas of paying people N500 to vote for a candidate and people would be enlightened to know the benefits of a good government than a N500 government. The issue of raising money,i used to have a cyber cafe and i sold it also my own savings, helps from my family members including my father. And like i have said we all raised the capital not only me.we have a percentage sharing in the coy.My partners are Jide Olawoyin,Gboyega Olajide and lekan Kaka.i wont mind to give their numbers out also for confirmation but not online pls.The issue of major achievement, are we referring to electioneering or humanitarian.Because you must remember that i said if it is humanitarian i will not come online and start mentioning things i have done but for confirmation you can go to the motherless babies homes at total garden,my department in UI,My area in felele, and Industrial Trainning centre, University of Ibadan, department of Sociology University Of ibadan,Agricultural engineering Students society.

Also if i dont have good desires to serve the people or i have a motive behind my ambition asides service to the people,God Almighty will not let me have the opportunity to get into power but if truly i am real,God will make a way and make it easy for me.Also other politicians that have selfish interest and dont have anything to offer the masses will not have their ways again in our Country by the special Grace of God.Let us all unite and say a big No to riggers of elections, rogues, thugs, looters and most especially politicians that dont fear God and dont have the love of the masses at heart.By this we can achieve a better Nigeria. If there is a better candidate tomorrow, Dapo Lam Adesina will seat down and give a total support to the candidate.Nigeria shall be great again.

Gbolah,Thank you so much. And amen to all your prayers.Sure all these hullabaloo about my house of reps ambition can at the end of the day be for you or anybody else.Cos as i have said i am not a desperado,I want to serve but if the people says no,Who am i.But surely come 2011 the best candidates must win and take over power. Also one of my plans is after i must have secured the ticket of my party by the special grace of God,i will sign an agreement and swear an affidavit that after two years of my election if i dont affect the lives of the populace positively,They should call for me to resign and i will surely do.I will break the jinx of public office holders not wanting to resign,But that is if people are not satisfied with my performance.Thank God we know that Lam Adesina tried compared to other governors who had billions of Naira to work with.Nigeria is our own and it must surely be great again.Let us join hands together and build a virile and egalitarian society,so that we can all enjoy.I enjoy Nairaland and the brains here.i am sure having so much fun.Keeping me on my toes always.Maybe if our politicians can also be coming online for scrutiny and bashing, maybe it will make us better people.I have learnt a lot here and i have to give kudos to you all.God bless us all.

dayokanu, I have said it several times and i will still continue to say it that i challenge anyone that has details of any corrupt enrichment by myself or my father to come out and i will jettison this my ambition. Also details of me collecting a kobo from Oyo State government whether under my father or anyone through proxy or in person.Or having bn awarded any contract during my fathers era, before or after.i want anyone to prove me wrong o.I am not a saint neither is my father but sure we are better than a lot of these people.Come to Oyo State now and see what is going on and you can compare and contrast.i also challenge anyone that thinks Lam Adesina is unpopular in Oyo State to come to town and let us move round town and ask questions from the voiceless masses if they love him or not.You will be surprised at what you will hear or just lets move round and you will see that the Dapo you dislike is loved so much by the masses down here.I will pay for the transportation to make things easy.In Oyo State 85 percent of the votes come from the voiceless masses.but sure its a matter of time we d all come together to salvage our country. As i have said i am for a change and i am ready to step down for a better candidate if such comes out to contest. It isnt a do or die affair. With God on our side Nigeria will still be great again.

Sleekdot, how many of these people have their children schooling in Nigeria? We should even give kudos to lam Adesina for not sending his children abroad to school when he was Governor.

Bawomolo,i definitely will not run from the people because i know the worth of people. Also i can assure you that i am a listening person and i know a bit about handling issues when it comes to human beings. So i will not disappear from the scene after winning cos i know that at the end of the day even you will support me as we are all after a better Nigeria. The issue of decaying education standard,it is very disheartening because if we had not had good and sound education how on earth would we have been a better person? That is what most of our leaders dont know.People like Obafemi Awolowo knows the essence of education and that is why they came up with free education which Bola Ige and my father followed. But the conservatives knows that when people are educated they will be able to stand up and fight against bad governance and will also know their rights. So i as a person will seek to pass a bill that will be on a minimum of secondary school level for all citizens of this country and it must be free. Also massive renovation and construction of schools and a better package for teachers. Also the idea of politicizing employment of teachers must stop.It must be on merit and brain.

Sleekdot,i entered ui 1999 and graduated 2005.I didnt have an extra year o cos i know you would start on that.it was due to the strikes at that time.I finished from the dept of agricultural engineering,in case you might want to confirm all that.I went for service in enugu and finished service in 2006 and we started skipet in 2008.The money to float Skipet was raised by the four of us and we worth less than 10 million naira. The downstream sector is not only about refining as you have said it also includes supply, distribution, storing etc.We are just suppliers in the sector and for confirmation of our account we use Zenith bank Dugbe ibadan,It might not be too safe to give out account number(s) on the internet but i can give a written letter for anyone to confirm the account status and history.

Skipet oil and gas is a very new company incorporated few months ago.We operate in the downstream sector and it is run by four partners which includes myself.Maybe that answers you and pre 1991 i was in ui so sure cant have incorporated any company. At least my father is out of power so there shouldnt be issues of government contracts and money sharing nor oil blocks no more. This is 5 years after.Maybe we should face issues like idupaul has said.Because we cannot continue to operate on hearsay.I have proved you wrong with all the info u came here with.Maybe you should prove me wrong.

Sleekdot, thanks also for the post, but i entered Ui after my father became governor. Also i have never in my life driven a navigator but have driven my fathers mercedes benz before.I am into oil and gas and i work with skipet oil and gas limited with Rc number 705989.I have also never had an accident before in my life but my immediate junior brother was the one that was involved in an accident.Thank you.

Gbolah, thank you so much but i still insist the issue of TV programme is very untrue.Anyway this is how democracy should be operated.People should have the right to say what they feel about people most importantly politicians.Maybe Nigeria would have bn better if our leaders too can come online and hear what people feel. The issue of enjoyment when my father was governor,it is not a crime to enjoy,is it?the most important thing is surely we did not steal government money and we did not execute any government contract but sure even if u become governor today wont your status change? There are so many benefits of bn a governor and a governors son.You say bad record, very untrue, do u mean riding a car is bad record?or having a girl friend for a university undergrad is bad record?I was never arrested nor caught doing any shady thing,so where is the bad record?Or maybe cos my social status changed cos my father became governor is bad record?I dont drink alcohol not to say i misbehaved when i got drunk,so where is the bad record?pls prove me wrong. Also what do u define as oppression?i never used any security agent to harras anyone nor was i moving about with any security,so where is the oppression? The issue of my father losing the 2003 election kindly go and find out well. The results are still there that Lam Adesina won the whole of Ibadan,Ibarapa,Oyo and oke ogun but only lost in Ogbomosho and sure u heard Governor Akala recently when he said he was the brain behind the result in ogbomosho. The same has happened to Senator ajimobi recently. So it is very obvious that if not for the rigging,Lam adesina won the Election.and even Late Adedibu confirmed what they did at a public function at Adamasingba Stadium before his death.kindly find out that.Grass to grace is true but remember no one was born rich or great.Thank you once again.

Interesting that people can continue to carry untrue stories about fellow human beings but surely a saying goes thus, What u sow is what u will reap.I don't think a man that actually embezzled government money can to be categorized an average citizen a day after leaving office,so i don't think my father actually did that. Also awolumate u goofed about the booze issue because my own understanding of booze is alcohol and never in my life have i taken alcohol which shows maybe u heard gist and you didn't confirm, while i never even had more than a car ever in my life,Also i never used to like partying and people can testify to that but on few occasions when i had to.I don't joke with my sleep. Also numerous girls, good lie because i never had more than a girlfriend at a time.Meanwhile i understand you must have heard gist but maybe you should have confirmed before spreading it.The issue of e je ki awon omo yen jaye, i bet with anybody that actually heard him say it and not that he heard from someone to come out and swear with the name of his/her God. And who says a youth leader can't aspire for a seat in the house of reps, but we know a youth is the speaker and he is doing great there so why do we continue to thread the footpath of the past?Local government chairman or councillor,Man proposes God disposes.

Mr/Mrs/miss subice,I am glad u raised this.Firstly maybe we should change our attitude towards people seeking for elective positions so that we can get the best out of them when they get there.A frustrated man would seek to get power by all means and after would not be interested in the cries of his people because they never gave him a chance that is one of the reasons why people go into rigging but for me no way,it is either through the peoples vote or never because whatever u get with deceit will not last. One of the most important things i have in mind is the issue of the FoI bill,it must be passed into law because if we look at other developed countries why their democracy is working and growing daily is because the elected leaders live an open life and are responsive to the yearnings of the people.FOI bill will allow for access by the press to both public and private lives of our leaders, cos if u are a public office holder you should be plain enough to be able to allow access to what ever u do.This would help in a long way to curb the excesses of our leaders. Also i am very interested in the niger delta and the resource control issue as i am a supporter of partial control of resources.Though we know that a whole lot of our money has bn invested in oil and gas but if the government can start from now increase the percent to 40 or there about and start to help each state develop any meaningful resources they have like we know enugu has coal, some other states with cocoa, some with groundnut, some with people, some with iron ore etc, then we can all turn our faces from depending on the federal government and oil in general. At least at that time each state will have what to depend on.Again the issue of presidential system of government,i dont think it is d best for us because we have all seen that truly power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The presidential system of government is absolute power and we can see how the immediate past government used it absolutely.I will suggest we move back to the parliamentary system which is cheaper and better. No absolute powers is conferred on any prime minister and the president will be ceremonial. The prime minister will be a senator that can be impeached anytime the need arises.I also believe before we can move forward we need to convene a sovereign national conference where all these would be sorted out by well meaning Nigerians who truly loves this country not some moneybags that are just interested in their pockets and business empires. The police bill is there and i am working on that already, because for an egalitarian and peaceful, corrupt less society the arm that enforces the law is most important and that is the police, they must be well taken care of and put in a strategic position to be able to perform. In developed countries of the world we have what is called police insurance so that these people as they are human too can be rest assured that sacrificing for their father land is worth it.But without that no policeman will sacrifice him/herself o.Then their salaries must be sensible enough to curb their excesses and also regularly paid 2.The selection of Inec chairman is there too,it is wrong for the president to be the one selecting the chairman as definitely he will choose a loyal person and that can never give a credible election.See what happened to channels TV recently, and we have a corporation that regulates broadcasting(NBC)?The president in a normal democratic setting does not have the right to send SSS to close down the station, the best he can do is to go to court but that is not to say that i support the idea of airing wrong info on TV but we are in a democratic setting where things should have order. That is why the courts are there.I rest my case for now, Do have a nice day all.

Maybe i should ask what it entails to be above the middle class cos me i havent got anything more than the job i do.Also the issue of political novice,Maybe i dont understand that and besides the political experts what have they achieved on the long run?the issue of achievements,i am not one of those politicians that goes making noise on the pages of newspapers and media hyping themselves about what they have done but i would rather let people tell me what i have not done so that i can learn and be able to buckle up where i am slacking. Also let the things God has used me to do be in the minds of those that benefited. Also it might interest you that i have been into politics since 1998 and i was pioneer secretary of Alliance for Democracy youth wing Ibarapa East Local Government, after which i became the president of the association and the history of the association is always there for people that knows Eruwa well.We installed the chairman of the local government after the party had lost 60 percent of the councillorship positions. Also i became president of my departmental association in the University of Ibadan because student unionism had been scrapped by the school authorities, thank God almighty i was able to deliver,For verification of my claims on this also i finished from Agricultural Engineering dept,University of Ibadan and that time the slogan was DLAm, It makes sense.after which i have been a full member of Action Congress, ward 12,ibadan south east local government uptill date. One can only propose to a position it is only God almighty that makes it possible,i might think it is the house of reps that i want to take a shot at,it might be a councillor that God has n plans 4 me and it might even be nothing,Whatever it is i am ready to accept but the most important thing that i stand for is a change in the way things are been done in the country.

Mr/miss/mrs kobomoje,i have since 1999 bn imparting positively on the limited few i am capable on.Remember i was just a governors son and never was i awarded a contract nor executed any.i was doing the little i could with the little i have,it is better now cos i work and i might just tell you to do a favour by finding out from people in the area i stay in felele.they will be at a better position to tell you the little way i have affected their lives whether positively or negatively.I believe with the little i get i still have tried,at least we know of very rich individuals who have not in anyway imparted on their society.i am not saying i am a saint cos i am far from it but sure we all know that no one is perfect except God almighty.Mr/mrs/miss bawomolo, thats a very nice advice you have given and it is taken note of but i can assure you that when the time is ripe we d all know the basis behind this all.But i tell you that what is most important is a change which we all desire. It is only a very rich person that can have that kinda impact we are talking about,i am just an average nigerian n the middle class. So limited is what i can do.Mr/mrs/miss jay bee, thanks a lot for you comment but i have a reservation on that.i have never bought loyalty and sure u know that loyalty bougt can never last. These are real friends that wants the best for one and i can tell you that none of them benefited from the government under my father.Even i benefited only by meeting people and not by any contract.you can quote me anywhere, and if you have proofs of contract awarded to me or any of my friends pls dont hesitate to come out with details.About my father i think it is glaring and we can all compare with the government after.A man that was collecting less than a billion naira monthly for 4 years and the governors after that collected over 2 billion,We can compare and see the difference.Sure the man made his own mistakes 2 but we cannot crucify him for that cos we all make mistakes daily. Not because he is my father but i feel he tried his best compared to others that came after him and the era b4 his.Have a nice day.

I just came about this forum through a well wisher, never knew it existed. The main objective of this whole development is to make educated and most importantly youths come into politics cos the present crop of leaders have failed the country and before it gets too late we all need to rise up and save our dear land.It isnt a do or die affair but it is just a sensitization thing so that we can get the change we require in our dear land most importantly Oyo State. Also i am a man of my own never hid under any father and would never do as some people have started to term it nepotism.I am into politics because i want a change and most importantly a better Nigeria. We need to all come together and stop the phobia we have for politics in Nigeria,or else scavengers would always take advantage to continue to keep themselves in power. We can only try our best but i believe in togetherness. Our dear nation needs us all now.God bless us all.
