LEWA,thanks so much for all the words of encouragement and the wisdom.Obviously you know me and know me well.this is what i was saying, let us be sure of what we d say.Lewa knows me but he/she must have heard some hearsays too.Pls stick to what you know and have confirmed,It is well with our nation.i never denied my pop bn a pensioner.Pls where in my post did i claim that?We all know what happened during the primaries that brought Kolapo Ishola as candidate,it was still the same Late Adedibu's manouveuring.Let me ask you one question but with full respect sir,Did The governments after him take care of the workers than he did?Didnt we all hear the gist of how Sen Ladoja and Late Adedibu bought over the labour in Oyo at that time so that they can cause confusion all the time to discredit the government of Lam adesina?I know for sure that Sen Ladoja reaped what he sowed. Also if the man had saaid that about Ibadan<how come he still won about 75 percent of the votes in Ibadan and 80 percent in oke ogun,&0 percent in Ibarapa but u know what happened the same trick that gave Akala governor today,Ogbomosho rigging that they used at that time. They brought heavy votes from Ogbomosho. At least Guv Akala confirmed recently when he said that Sen ladoja does not have any reason to fight him because it was Him(Akala) who made him governor after rigging for him in Ogbomosho and if he can do that for Ladoja why wont he do better for himself. Also that ten ladoja's wont have defeated Lam Adesina.

Some unidentified gunmen suspected to be militants on Thursday raped 28 female youth corps members in Abonnema, a town in Akuku Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State.

A source said the militants invaded the residence of the corps members, who were posted to the town on primary assignment, and rounded up the ladies. He said the suspected militants went into every flat, raping the women at gunpoint after which they fled through the waterfront. He noted that Abonnema residents had been constantly terrorised by gangsters who relocated to the area after they were sacked from some of their locations in the creeks.

He said, “These boys are not fighting the Niger Delta cause. How can they fight the Niger Delta cause, when they continue to terrorise the people they are supposed to fight for? Abonnema has become a war front and people are fleeing their homes. Now, they rape women and threaten elders. They invaded homes of some female corps members and raped them at gunpoint.”

A security source told our correspondent that the Joint Task Force had deployed troops in the area to forestall the breakdown of law and order. He admitted that gunmen invaded the community and attacked defenceless persons, noting that the people had cried out to the authorities to intervene in the matter.

Our correspondent, who visited the Rivers State Secretariat of the National Youth Service Corps in Port Harcourt, was told that the state coordinator was not on seat.

However, a senior official of the organisation, who would not want to be named, said the NYSC was yet to receive a report on the incident from its field staff in Abonnema.

He said, “We have not heard anything like that. But we hope that if it happened, our staff in Abonnema will brief us before the end of the day.

“I will make contacts with them to know what transpired because we would have expected the affected corpse members to call us and report such incident. We gave them our telephone numbers before they left the camp.”

When contacted, the spokesman of the JTF, Lt. Col. Sagir Musa, said troops had been deployed to Abonnema and Degema in Asari Toru Local Government Area of the state. He noted that the JTF Commander, Brig. Gen. Sarkin Yaki-Bello, ordered troops to move into the two towns as result of the increasing activities of militants, which tended to threatened peace and security.

Musa also noted that the naval component of the task force on Thursday had an encounter with militants along the Cawthorne Channel, which resulted in the killing of five gunmen. According to him, two AK 47 rifles and one speedboat were seized from them, adding that none of the soldiers sustain injury in the attack.

He said, “The Commander of JTF, Gen. Sarkin Yarki-Bello has decided to deploy troops in Abonnema and Degema areas of Rivers State. The decision to deploy troops in the above mentioned areas is based on undeniable report that these communities have high concentration of militants and related criminal acts.

“Above all, some militants’ camps are located in the general area. Community people were killed terrorised, maimed and in some cases, women were raped by the militants. Practically, people are begging for JTF’s intervention, hence the decision to deploy troops to the affected areas.”

Kobojunkie, it is a private arrangement with other well meaning friends.I have said it before that i am not a noise maker.Charity is compulsory and not a favour you do to people that is d way i see it.So we dont even intend making it a political jamboree like others,no noise. We d just let the beneficiary savour the benefits of it.I have never made any noise about what i do b4 but always wait for people to point out what i havent done.Be convinced,it is 4 real and we d convince you by the 19th of December by the special grace of God.

FADAKA, Ok i d go this way, serious and massive empowerment of the people of my constituency is the main objective.I.e the issue of education for their wards, soft loans for small scale investments, scholarships, opening of a training centre, serious and massive construction of boreholes in strategic locations, and arrangement with coys for the employments of graduates from my constituency are the few ones for my constituency.Let me shut up before kobojunkie will say he is only for his constituency oooooooooooo, lol

We cannot say because we have the FOI bill then we d not have the people that will monitor it,it is just as saying since we have the constitution then no need for the police to enforce the law.We have some people that are pig headed and needs to be made scape goats. Also leaving the people to fight the leader gives room for chaos and anarchy but the EFCC can charge and prosecute the person for the people without any chaos or state of anarchy which can be caused by the vexation of citizens. The only power the citizens has gt is the ballot box and they will be able to use it to best of their abilities when the time comes, thanks

The issue of Local Government not spending through the right channel i have said before and will still say that we need EFCC also at the Local Government and State level, while the federal will just be the watchdog of all.Wherever you have a bad head the whole body will be bad.Headache makes the whole body dysfunctional.A bad foundation leaves room for a bad structure and at the end collapse.
Politics / Re: Dapolam Accepts Defeat, speaks to Nairalanders by dapolam: 8:09pm On Dec 04, 2008
Our ministry of education is crap as we can all see the decay in the standard of education in the country. We need serious re establishment and re organization because the leaders of tomorrow pass through the walls of our schools.NYSC empowerment is crap also as this is an avenue to loot tax payers money and risking the lives of the next generation,we.What we have iss mad education not free because my own definition of free education is qualitative free education not just paying of school fees.It must not be made an issue of who you know, teachers must be employed on the basis of merit not the political party you belong, not who you know or who your godfather is,or where you come from but on merit.
Politics / Re: Dapolam Accepts Defeat, speaks to Nairalanders by dapolam: 8:02pm On Dec 04, 2008
The police bill is most important. As this problem we have in Nigeria has a whole lot to do with corruption and it can only be curbed from the angle of the police.I know sincerely that if the Nigeria Police force can be given the right atmosphere to work we d have a better society. Also we talk of EFCC is it not the police that are there? The government aint taking good care of the police in this country and we dont expect them to lay down their lives for this nation when they are not sure of what they are dying for.For example a policeman that was killed by rioters or armed robbers and after few weeks his family was ejected from the barracks, tell me what the other ones alive will think? We need a better pay package for the police, police insurance scheme, very serious training for them, good housing, and most importantly they must be well armed. Also their salary package is crap. Also i am a supporter of state police and it is in my agenda and i am deeply in support of a sovereign National conference where all the issues that concern Nigeria will be discussed. The issue of Niger Delta,Resource control,I support partial control of resources after which we must have developed other states to be self dependent and not depend on oil.At least we have coal in enugu, palm oil in the east, cocoa and others in the west E.T.C.The issue of State Police, issue of serious electoral refor5ms which must include all election petition cases must be sorted before swearing in,The chairmen of INEC must not be selected by the president anymore, and most importantly the reduction in the powers of the president if need be we revert from this presidential system to parliamentary system of government as it has shown that absolute powers on the part of the president corrupts absolutely.

Kobojunkie, First of all,the FOI bill is a national bill and it has not bn passed as we taalk now which means for it to have had this difficulty at the national level the cabals delaying it will frustrate you at the lower level. And i can assure you that it is a bill that has to do with the whole of the country.Immediately it is passed at the national level,it automatically turns operative at the state and local govt level.

FADAKA. i don't criticize people.I wont come here like other politicians and start telling you what the man has done or what he hasn't done.I will only come here and learn, get wisdom and discuss with Nigerians on the way forward for our dear nation. It is pertinent to note that if a public office holder is performing the level of poverty will be reduced in the constituency, ward, local government, state or country.Lagos State for a good example. The difference is clear, thank you
Politics / Re: Dapolam Accepts Defeat, speaks to Nairalanders by dapolam: 5:07pm On Dec 04, 2008
I am Adedapo lam Adesina.I seek to represent Ibadan south East/North East federal constituency as a federal Honourable in the house of representatives.Few of the bills i hope to work on as a member of the house includes the FOI bill if it is still not passed by then,The Nigerian police force bill,Education bill and Youths emporwerment bill amongst others.Basically the youth empowerment and advancement bill has to do with youths in general and has as parts the issue of NYSC,employment after service etc.while d education bill is the biggest one which must include free education to all nigerians to the level of secondary school. Also massive renovation and construction of buildings in our schools and serious upgrading of most polytechnics that are below standards.I have been into charity for a while, and as i have said i will want to drift from the norms of making noise about what i have done on the pages of newspapers or online like most politicians do.I will only want people that are beneficiary to feel it as that is the meaning of charity and i can give details if need be for confirmation.I only wish people to point out what we haven't done or give ideas. Finally i am working with so many associations that has to do with better life for the people i.e project lots which feeds 5000 kids on December 18th, thanks and God bless
Politics / Re: Dapolam Accepts Defeat, speaks to Nairalanders by dapolam: 4:42pm On Dec 04, 2008
FADAKA,I have said it on this forum before and will still continue to say that i am not used to making noise about what we do.But would want people to point it out to us what we haven't done so that we can move forward. For the benefit of doubt,We have a programme on the 18th of December,2008 tagged project lots feeds 5000 street kids in five states of the federation consecutively. It is just our way of celebrating them. After which we d get a centre where we can feed, send them 2 school and take care of them. Also there is an association for the youths called FUTURE which is spreading like fire.It can be checked out on facebook and also www.futureyouths.org.We have plans for all the motherless babies homes in Ibadan this December as we do always,we do this all months but the one for December is always big.Kindly give more ideas and other ways you think we can touch the lives of people as much as it is in our capability,we d be glad to, God bless

OSOMO,it is obvious you dont know me cos if you do you would never have said i had an eatery. All my life i have never had more than one car so how do you explain cars matching clothes, Oga mi na wa o.I have never in my entire life had a club house, all i have ever had was a cyber cafe at banner group plaza,Oluyole estate,Ibadan.and i left the biz when it was becoming something else and started the one i am in now.I cant remember slapping anyone in my life cos even when i was in school i was the most weak when it comes to fighting.Pls let us stop all these hearsays and face constructive criticisms,so as to move our nation forward. We sure need drilling but the constructive one that can make a better person which would be based on truth and not hearsays.Anyway i have heard about My ownership of Options before but never have i owned any of such. You can confirm from the owner now who he bought it from and who sold it to him.Very simple.Pls lets leave all these and deliberate on issues that concern the nation. If you dont drill me constructively,I will get there someday and might not satisfy you as we all have the opportunity now to make a better change.Lets deliberate on serious issues that will keep me on my feet, God bless

Also lets talk about finance, Btw 1999 and 2003,the federal allocation to Oyo State was N920 million and the government of Lam Adesina was spending N800 million monthly on salaries.Which means he had N120 million left for any project he had wanted to do monthly. This is also a political gimmick by the government of OBJ to make sure the AD guvs didnt have enough money to perform and at the end of the day lose the election in 2003.Even with all these they still won if not for rigging. Now immediately the PDP government took over the allocation was increased to Close to N2bn and now it is over N2bn.Even with the excess money the PDP government got can you compare governance under them and the Lam Adesina Era which gt N920million?Also asides the federal allocation the PDP government in Oyo Now has collected close to N50bn and nothing to show for it, I am not trying to defend the man but i am just speaking of what i know and it is always ready for confirmation with the authorities.Someday in Nigeria we all including my father will face the judgment of the people and we d let the people judge if he truly served them to the best of his knowledge or not.But i still insist we check our details always so that we d come clean with enough details. With these we d stop all the pull him down syndrome that has eaten deep into our system in Nigeria. That is why i personally support the FOI bill.It is most important. It will stop hear says and give correct info to the people, God bless
Politics / Re: Dapolam Accepts Defeat, speaks to Nairalanders by dapolam: 9:05am On Dec 04, 2008
Lewa, that was a good post u gt der,but we all need to stop acting on hear says.It is eating deep into the future of our nation and most importantly we youths.i would have loved you to confirm your gist b4 placing them online. Its not too good as you might be at the receiving end some day 2.Surely you know little about Oyo State cos of all what you claim here.I analyze now.Oyo State has gt 33 local government and you only have access to 5 which are the ones in Ibadan. It is only people that knows Oyo State well that can know how underdeveloped it was at a time b4 the man came to power.and his agenda was developing the rural areas which will reduce influx from rural to urban areas.Go to the oke oguns, oyo, ibarapa and less city Ibadan and see what the man had done there.Good road network,Rural electrification,water,hospitals.education. If the government after him had continued this only God knows where Oyo would have bn now. Also you cannot compare Oyo And lagos in terms of development and revenue as lagos was once the federal capital and you know what that means.
Politics / Re: Dapolam Accepts Defeat, speaks to Nairalanders by dapolam: 8:55am On Dec 04, 2008
Also mosst of those gist were raised by The PDP at that time to swing people's favour to their side as confirmed by late Alh Adedibu b4 his death and it was targeted at me cos i was the famous lad.But thank God they were able to achieve their aim but pls let sum1 ask them what they were able to do with the deceit? They turned Oyo to what it is today
Politics / Re: Dapolam Accepts Defeat, speaks to Nairalanders by dapolam: 8:51am On Dec 04, 2008
dapyjay, don't lose confidence in a man that is speaking the truth.I have never said i didnt go wrong once but i am just saying the gist here aint true. For example muzzol raised the issue of me executing government contract and i denied ever because it is the truth.Government calendars, almanacs etc was handled by Oyelade printers Iwo road Ibadan all through the man's days in government.Chief Oyelade is still Alive for confirmation. Also i never had a party for no Girl.I think we need to always differentiate from Dapo And Tunji. They are two different personalities entirely just from the same father and mother. Then if you say Because i had a car which i never had b4 my father became governor is oppressive then i accept that.Again that i left polytechnic for UI is oppressive,i also accept,I was very famous in school cos i was governors son,I accept.Or maybe u have other things to say that are true i will accept but not untrue gist bout me.At this point i challenge dapyjay to just come on nairaland with any info about how i have ever oppressed anyone before in my life with concrete proofs. At least all i have bn saying here has bn with proofs of people that are still alive.Come to OYO State now and see oppression in the highest order and sure u d praise me for never throwing caution to the wind.I am not claiming a saint but pls do this CIA job well and find true gist about Dapo Lam Adesina,i d applaud you for doing a sound job, God bless u.
Politics / Re: Dapolam Accepts Defeat, speaks to Nairalanders by dapolam: 10:50pm On Dec 03, 2008
Thanks Muzzol for all the words of encouragement. But i still insist and swear that i have never in my life either by my name or by proxy collected nor executed any government contracts before.I still insist that anyone with clue(s) should come out publicly to prove me wrong.Yes i accept that i must have done one or two things wrong in the past and even now but definitely not all what you all claim.I am not a saint but i have never in my life thrown caution to the wind. Also i have never in my life organized any party for any girlfriend not to talk of girl,I also challenge anyone with proofs to come out publicly to prove me wrong.Dont we all think that for a man to continue insisting that all these things are wrong and no one has ever bn able to come out with any proof,we need to caution ourselves on hear says.At least Oyo State civil servants and secretariat is still there for any confirmation and to get details.I have never in my life executed any government contract either in OYO State or anywhere else. Thanks for the words once again, but pls i would like to be proved wrong on all what i have said, God bless

Yes youths rise rise and rise.If you know my father well he doesnt allow anyone hide or use his influence. And besides we are in a new era where nobody's father will change anything or count. This is the youths era that we are coming into and surely everybody must carry his/her cross.I can assure you that few of the things i have learnt in life is you are responsible to anyone that helps you get anything. So rather than my father i seek the youths to help me so that i can be responsible to the youths and my constituency in general.Remember i preach change and it will not come to pass if i hide under any father.I am a youth and a youth i remain forever even if grow up and clock 90 years, lol.Having said that i am Adedapo Lam Adesina and i ave given my number out for anyone to confirm.I stay in felele, ibadan.I am slim, tall and dark.My nicknames are polo, masinga, dlam, dapolam.I am always readily available for any questioning or interrogation. And i am ready to come out anywhere, whenever the youths want me to.Inquisitiv we dont need any OBAMA,what we need is you, emeka aloy, kobomoje, bawomolo, sauron, darkage, dapolam, idupaul ,youths generally.
