Politics / Re: Christian Elders Accuse Buhari Of Islamizing Nigeria Through Backdoor by daprofo: 10:50am On Jun 04, 2016
Rexyl:

the fanatics are not yet satisfied by the blood already shed through same move by boko haram. Almighty God will scatter the plan which is not to pursue his holiness or righteousness, but for political gains putting on religious colouration.

Rexyl, your position is obscure. Be a little bit clearer. Thank you & God bless you...

HungerBAD:
Exactly what we were complaining about earlier.

Between Christianity and Islam,I actually don't know which is worse. I am a Christian, and I know the bible teaches us not to lie.

But these Christian Elders, are not only lying openly, but are going against the Doctrine of the Bible by bearing false witness.

How did you Elders know he wants to use the back door to Islamize this Country?where in the bible does it even say some Christians are Elders?

You guys trying to give Buhari a bad name by all means.

Jokers.

Please, understand facts before you cast aspersions or judge. Don't criticise for criticism sake.

By the time that section of the Constitution (CFRN 1999) is amended, here are the implications:

1.) All persons within the jurisdiction where Sharia law is applicable will be subject automatically to Sharia laws. For instance, a person who commits adultery in the FCT (if the proposed bill eventually includes FCT) will be punished according to Sharia laws not the Penal Code.

2.) Some acts which are treated as mere sins in Christianity will be criminalised under the Sharia.
For instance, under Islam, blasphemy against Mohammed or Allah will attract death sentence but under Christianity nobody kills you for blaspheming against Christ/God. So, the moment that bill is passed into law & you as a Christian live in any of the Sharia jurisdictions, you become subject automatically to the law. There are other instances apart from blasphemy.

3.) Christians and persons of other religious extraction other than Islam in those areas will not enjoy much of their constitutional rights.

The Christian elders you whom you have categorically labelled as "
But these Christian Elders, are not only lying openly, but are going against the Doctrine of the Bible by bearing false witness."-- this is too extreme, my brother in Christ. If you follow well my reasonings in points 1 - 3, you'll understand the issues here.

Islamizing the whole Nigeria doesn't only mean or contemplate use of conscription or force against your religious affiliation (Christianity). They may not even force you.

It also means that though nobody may stop you from being a Christian but you may be forced to abide by Sharia laws if you live in parts of Nigeria where the proposed Sharia laws are meant to have effect.

Thank you. UNDERSTAND MY POST CLEARLY. IT IS NOT MEANT TO CONDEMN OR CASTIGATE YOU. GOD BLESS YOU.

I second the idea suggested by Nobody: Test the market with an idea, set up a website or something close to that.

Success in your endeavours.

Literature / Re: Differences Between Anglophone And Francophone Writers by daprofo: 7:04pm On Dec 11, 2014
The question is this: how many African female writers' novels have you read? And how many of such novels have you critiqued, analysed and studied at an in-depth level?

It is also possible that 'So Long a Letter' was one of the first novels you read and because of that early exposure your standard of perfection hovered around any work that had a semblance with 'So Long a Letter.' In other words, making generalisations is a faulty way of reasoning.
