Hello People, Please my aunt applied for her UK Student visa and she's got a mail that her application has been approved since December. However, she has not got her passport back and this is 8weeks after. She has gone to TLS Ikeja but they wouldn't attend to her. She has also mailed UK Consular but now they are telling her to give 15 working days. Meanwhile her deadline for registration is 27 Jan. Please what can she do again? she is so exhausted now. This is very urgent if you have any information please. |

tojumi18: You wouldn’t need the money to get in the pool. However, you will need to show it once you’ve got ITA and before you submit your application. Docs to show as POF; 1) if you got the money from parents, get a gift deed, if not start frm (4) below, 2) notarise the gift deed if you can, 3) print out the transfer slip, 4) get introductory & non-indebtedness letters from your bank, 5) print out your bank statement & with an highlighter indicate your pof, 6) scan/merge these docs together and attach to POF placeholder before submitting your application. 10 Likes 8 Shares |

Madam! Madam!! Madam!! You don’t need to show any proof of relationship. All you would need to show are; i) a Gift Deed letter (notarise if you like) from your Dad. ii) a print out showing the transfer details, and iii) your bank statement highlighting the amount transferred. Pls, be careful of too much documents. Thecannylady: 21 Likes 6 Shares |

ANYBODY, EVERYBODY Before you start writing at all, plan/think on paper. Write out your points for each side and note which you are better equipped to support or be against. Now the essay; Introduction: Your intro needn't be long but must be captivating. What you are trying to achieve is get the attention of the marker. If you can get the marker's interest at this point, you are most likely to get a good grade. Here's how I think you could do that. However precise your intro is make an opinion. Let the marker know which side of the argument you are. Particularly for essays that ask you to speak for or against. Paragraphs: Each paragraph must carry a view point. A good number of paragraphs shud suffice to argue your points. I wouldn't go more than 3-4 though. Use Connectives: These are words that help link your thoughts. E.g However, yet, on the other hand, therefore, furthermore, although etc. When you use these words, you help the marker focus on your main ideas. Although, connectives like first, second are too basic. I wouldn't use them. Share a view on the other side: This I learnt while preparing for Toefl. When you are done arguing your points in about 3 paragraphs. Let your 4th paragraph say a few thing about the other side of the argument. Say you are writing about early marriage. Let's assume you are arguing for, you can also say something like On the other hand, when people marry late they tend to be ready and are better mature to handle issues when they arise. This however is not enough point to say marriage at old age is better But at this point remember that isn't ur position and also counter it in a way. The reason you have to counter it immediate is so you let the marker know your view point is better. Conclusion: Your conclusion should summarise your paragraphs. Sometimes a single word that encapsulates your thought is enough for summary. 35 Likes 14 Shares |
