if u scared of the pepper ish, try smth safer like Yoyo bitters or bitter leaf..
Ps..this is a biological means of controlling this situation..

Sucking thumb is no big deal(esp 4 children), but when the fail to naturally out grow it- na real gobe!!.

where are you based? I need a plat date for Hazad. Maybe he needs to fool around with other dogs. Hearing another dog bark confuses him, I think. He reacted very weirdly on a recent walk.

This is a very tricky situstion . she is so used to it that her teacher said she would abandon her assignments to suck on her thumb, her right thumb for that matter. She would rather get busy suckibg the thumb than use that hand to do anything else.

What do I do? I have tried using subtle story with morals of thumb sucking. Used imagery of thin and disfigured fingers, but she won't stop.

She has become slow, with chores, school work. I dont want her mocked because the others in her class had started doing that.

@darealistic....hazad chewing on shoes and jumping all over you can be controlled. On the jumping part I'm almost too sure when it gets exited you go on to hug and cuddle it. You just told the dog I'm happy you're this exited and jumping all over me. Next time it gets all waggy tailed coming to jump at you .....turn your back to it....or ignore it's exitement. Tell it to sit. When it does sit reward it with a treat or then give it attention and affection. Repeatedly with consistency it will learn to sit and look up to you even when excited.
on shoe chewing it may have been tearing at some old stuff while it was a puppy while you urged on or didn't stop it which the dog translates as approval. You have to start registering with the dog that chewing on shoes is not allowed in your pack. You could start by bringing an old shoe around. When it wants to do as it does, that is chew, you say no....bad dog...and separate it from the shoe. Make sure it does not go into a tug with you so it doesn't think it's play. Repeat until when it sees a shoe and it just stares at it without chewing or totally ignores it then you say good dog...and reward it with a treat and a hug. Consistently done it will associate good behaviour and reward with not chewing and stop.

Its my fault i know, but what can be done to rectify it? And he won't stop eating rice and fish or a concoction of pap with milk and eggs. he would sniff meat and sneeze like its disgusting.
