Politics / Re: If GEJ Improves Electricity, Will You Vote For Him In 2015? by Darius2000: 6:33pm On Aug 08, 2012
blink182: NO, there are more important things than power.

Health care
Energy
Security
Transportation
Job creation
Accepting resolutions drafted by the national assembly

most importantly, he should stop being a mo. ron

And in your wisdom, you couldnt establish the connection between stable power and the amenities you enumerated here! You're the actual slowpoke, not President GEJ....

acidtalk: LITTLE ATTITUDES THAT CREATE BIG PROBLMS IN HOMES.

Marriage is a union mostly within two people from absolutely opposite backgrounds.

Statistics have shown that most problems in married homes are usually very trivial and avoidable acts which if well checked, could have been avoided.

People have gone to court to seek for divorce for the flimsiest of reasons.

Below are some of the acts both men and women need to check to enable a happy and non tensed home front.

* Getting up from the bed without bothering to lay it.

Thanks for this timely and nice post. I have already saved this information on my system so i can print it, with a view to making amends where necessary. I am guilty in over 75 per cent of the habits enumerated. So am the one giving my wife the room to disrespect me occasionally? Not anymore. In need to seriously make amends. Only God knows how many preventable quarrels we have had because of these habits......

* Leaving items liter around the living room and bed room.

*Not agreeing to if the toilet seat should be kept down or up.

*Refusing to take food from the bottom of pot.

* Refusing to eat the top of a sliced bread even when you tore the wrapper open.

* Chatting or Playing with your phone, laptop, tablet, reading a book or watching tv while your spouse is saying or complaining of something important.

* Walking out on your spouse while he/she is complaining of what is hurting them.

*Refusing to eat a food if there's no meat, fish or egg decorated on it.

* Refusing to flush the WC after using the rest room.

* Refusing to mop the floor after littering water all over the floor after having a bath.

* Piling up dishes in the sink.

* Not turning off the electronics while going to bed or leaving the house.

* Too pompous to use the words "thank you, I am sorry, Please".

* throwing used diapers around instead of disposing them properly.

* Buying luxury items without prior consent of your partner.

* Thinking you don't owe your partner an explanation for coming home late or leaving the house at whatever time you want.

* Going through your partners items (phones, laptops, pockets, hand bags etc) all for the sole aim of catching them cheating.

* Always eavesdropping on your partners phone and physical conversation with family, friends, colleagues, neighbors and strangers.

* Waking your partner from their sleep only to complain about events that happened during the day.

At least one of the above listed is a major cause while a marriage is about to get disolved aside major reasons like infidelity, Finance, and Family interferance.

Hmmmm....I am personally guilty of over 75 per cent of the habits you enumerated above. No wonder my wife doesnt seem to respect or love me like she used to! In other words,am to be blamed for her disrespectful comments hauled at me. This is one of the most useful threads i will ever read on Nairaland. I have already copied this information onto my system so i can print it, with a view to actually studying them over and over again, so i can make amends.....so my wife isnt a stubborn woman afterall! Indeed, no one disrespects you without your permission or consent! Thanks, Poster

Politics / Re: David Mark Calls For Control Of Social Media by Darius2000: 3:27am On Jul 28, 2012
crackhouse: If he really want to stop it then he should quit politics, join ICT world and probably develop the technology himself and not hoping on some white guys to do it for him.

Dont mind David Mark, the chief comedian of the NASS!Inasmuch as we will only approve of unbiased and unemotional reports of facts in our social media, our media cannot be censored like its being done in china and north korea. Look at who is talking of insults! What insults are more than these hauled at the masses than these: bad governance, governmental secrecy, darkness, low minimum wage, bad roads etc? Fellow Nigerians, while David Mark has openly opposed criticisms of the government, he and his group will almost certainly stealthily eliminate any person or group of persons they perceive as being who are social media dissident or activist, hence we should be careful how we disclose personal information capable of them hurting online activists. I am speaking from personal experience. Recently, my family and I received a death threat an anonymous caller over my 'anti=government' and 'subversive' comments on social media. For close to two weeks now, i have being watching my back. I wont foolishly dismiss such a threat as frivolous. The forces of bad governance have their networks and agents to carry out their biddings. Whoever they see as a formidable threat to their continued looting will be almost certainly eliminated. Corrupt government!
Politics / Re: Nigerian Senators Earn More Than Barack Obama by Darius2000: 7:57pm On Jul 27, 2012
coninse: To be sincere, we Nigerians are coward. We read and listen to all these corruptions everyday but nothing is done. I have to say, Nigerians are not planning for the future of their unborn generations. Complaining will solve nothing, we all need to come together and do something about our dear country. Everyone wants to run abroad to make a good living, if this is how most people at other part of the world do, the world will be in total disarray. We need to put Nigeria in order.

We are not doing anything to help. The only people that will help Nigeria are Nigerians, no foreigner or Messiah will come and help us. A word is enough for the wise...
Very true. Not only are Nigerians cowards; they are also myopic and self-centred. They are only interested in themselves. They have no plans for their unborn generations. Because if they do, they wont keep silent while their commonwealth and future are looted away by their kleptocratic and microscopic rulers. The FG of Nigeria is so fotunate to have timid and docile masses, who will only pray and throw their hands into the heavens in anticipation for divine help even in matters themselves can handle! Well, the degree to which the government of a nation will be corrupt, depends on the masses. Period.
