thats why i am always pro indie. Creators do not need a large team/dev coy nor a pub coy. All u need is a unique idea, innovative approach and an interesting gameplay. Not the latest engine or badass graphics. Let the tripple As focus on that

Was sims ever indie? I thought it was published by EA games, the first(and maybe only) sims game I ever played was during the java phones era, and I remember seeing EA games before starting play...

yes u are right, some originally indie games get so popular before getting the big break. And thats my point.
At that point does the game still remain indie or triple a.
I had to double check the history of the sims and it should surprise u to know that the 1st sims city game was in 1989 by creator will wright and it took a decade of several intriguing debacles before it got an approval from maxis the developer company and ea games the publisher in 2000.

So in that case the original idea and creative process remains independent and a sole concept of will wright the creator and the subsequent sequel like u said had been foreseên and preplaned by the creator.

exactly. But that is only correct to a certain extent.
These days the appellation is loose and quite confused as we have originally built indie games like minecraft which meet every other use of the term but is now distributed under publishing coy.

There are several others in that category - independently built games but have being acquired and distributed by a company.

yes i know of the sims simulation game, and ofcourse it is an indie game.
But note that indie games have various definitions or meanings to different developers. Some emphasise on the number of team members working on the development of the game, the amount of resources deployed in the production of the game, working with a major game publisher like sony is a factor for some.

But in my opinion, working alone or alongside a very few team of developers, without the need for a huge finance base and robust resources. Plus most importantly the independence of thought which gives the creator unlimited freedom to do whatever he/she wishes is what qualifies an indie game for me

I always advise game developers to focus on indie games production. It is less tasking, more fun, depends solely on the creators creativity and u still get all the props.

building a game such as the one op posted is a waste of time because there are countless games with similar gameplay which makes it less interesting

Can u give more details on what exactly u need to get done. U should list those news media u wish to get updates from, then at least drop a link to ur forum so we can see what we are working with.

Then from there i will look into it before quoting a figure

if the oyinbo you are refering to attended nursery,primary and secondary school learning yoruba,igbo or hausa and also spoke either of these languages through out their lives whilst writing exams and passing the exams using those nigerian languages you listed up there. They should equally apologise at every error be it typo or whatever.

That is just the reasonable thing to do. Infact they should also apologise to their parents or whosoever sponsored them through school.

Maybe you have reached your daily limit of requests to the API.
I haven't yet tried the Twitter API tho but once got such messages when using the YouTube api. I made lots of requests to it on the coding phase via trials and modifications.
When I now had a working code, I received some 500 error response saying some token blah blah blah limit was reached for the day.
Had to wait till the next day.

nope, i dont think twitter api works same way as youtube or other google apis that have daily limits unless u pay. With twitter api u can make unlimited request. But thats not even the issue cos my twitter api data parses very well. The only challenge i am facing is when i am making a post request with php cURL to send the data i grabbed from twitter to another website.

But since u code with python there might be little u can offer in terms of assistance regarding my code. I will just take my case to stackoverflow and see if i will get help from there.

ok thanks for reaching out. I am using php curl to make a post of twitter api data to another website.
I am facing challenges when trying to post the data. I usually get an error 201 which i think translate to mean temporary redirect. And i cant seem to proceed any further from there.
Have u ever gotten an error 201 in any of ur request. What do u suggest i do
