Barryseal: Arthur Okonkwo looks talented and to be honest much more talented than Uzoho and Okoye but he needs to play first team football not reserve league. Hopefully he goes on loan next season as Arsenal are getting a 2nd choice GK from MLS.
In the home front, I don't think Rohr was properly briefed on the goalkeeping potentials back in the league. Ezenwa at a point was 2nd choice for his club but top class for the Super Eagles. A top rated goalkeeper like Afelokai has been displaced by a young Sochima at Rivers Utd. That's the kind of potential we have in that position. What these guys truly need is exposure and proper conditioning.
Our Olympics and U20 teams have always had goalkeepers from home and they never failed us at any tournament with errors to the levels we have seen with Uzoho and Okoye. Well said We need to replace our GK trasiners It's obvious they are not doing thir jobs They are just colecting salary and egunje It's their job to scout and recommend GKs to the Senior National Team But no....sometimes it beats me why we can't just get rid of mediocre officials in all strata of the Nigerian Society |

Icon4s: I can't agree less. Especially at the knockout stages, a goal keeper can make so much difference. Look at the Burkinabe goalie, yesterday. He helped Burkina Faso secure that lead.
But the only shot directed at Okoye all tournament, he couldn't save
My fear from the start was in that goal keeping department. That goal changed the entire complexity of the game. The 4:4 draw against Sierra Leone in Benin and the goal we conceded against Cape Verde away really exposed Okoye's weaknesses but I guess the goal keeper trainers were blinded.
Francis Uzoho would more likely have saved that shot. He won't They are all unreliable We don't have a good goalie...not sinc Ikeme and Enyeama |

Icon4s: They are the "indomitable Lions of CAMEROON". That is what they have been known for. They will not play good football for an entire tournament but they mostly get the job done. I see them like the Chelsea of African football
It is not just an issue of home advantage cos the previous 5 editions Cameroon won were not on home soil.
They know how to play tournaments especially in Africa. Like I had mentioned earlier, before the AFCON kicked off, as far as the AFCON is concerned I will always rate teams like Cameroon, Nigeria and Egypt ahead of likes of Senegal, Ivory Coast, Algeria and Morocco, irrespective of the form any of these four teams is in.
The only team we thought could have challenged Cameroon in this AFCON was Nigeria. But we screwed up big time against Tunisia. lollllll When was the last time we got to the finals Wonders shall never cease It's shameful we are regarded as giant of Africa |

There have been loads of African players who ended up playing for big clubs so your assertion is wrong, but I agree that Napoli owner will make it a bit difficult Now you understand my point They haven't even finished paying his transfer fee I swear, Osimhen asking price may reach 160m |

Osimhen is not Salah bro He is not at that level yet. It remains to be seen if he will be at that level But fine, if Juve or Bayern, Barca, Man City come for Osimhen, na celebration be that I just stated an opinion even though far fetched. PetroDolla2020: Quit talking nonsense. Ghana team is in a mess? And your nigerian is better?
Yes, the Black Stars did not perform at afcon. But that is why we are taking measures to change things. We have identified what went wrong and we are taking measures to correct them. Is there anything wrong with that? Teams go through bad patches. It’s not peculiar to Ghana.
And you are talking as if Nigeria has such a fantastic team well, some of us don’t see the current nigerian team as been better than the Ghana team. That is my honest opinion. And the World Cup qualifier will prove that. Bro, there's no need arguing with them Naija and Ghana team are in the same level. It's blind patriotism that's making them oblivious to this fact In fact, I tip Ghana to qualify ahead of Nigeria |

You really need to calm down because you don’t know tomorrow See my reasons in my response to starboytwo I maintain my stance If I were him, I would make the best use of my time in Napoli and maintain tip top shape and form It's a hard and bitter pill to swallow but my points are valid Napoli will rep his peak years |

codemaniacs: our wingers were playing in positions that didn't favor them for crossing due their favorite foot..
Simon is right footed and playing on the left side so if he wants to cross he has to move the ball to his right foot then cross with his right foot.
Chukwueze is left footed and playing on the right side so if he wants to cross he has to move the ball to his left foot then cross with his left foot..
that's why they seem terrible at crossing... apart from that, its also possible that Eguavoen didn't instruct them to cross since they are players that like to hold on to ball they have to be instructed to cross the ball.
apart from that again, Super Eagles didn't usually have players in the box to cross to..
the Cameroonian player that crossed is right footed and playing on the right side so he doesn't need to move the ball to his favorite foot since he is already on his favorite foot.
Ihenacho's goal against Egypt was from a Simon cross that Egypt didn't clear properly.. You're making some sense until this glaring lie |
