Guys despite the fact that DJ is to be moved to st nicholas we have a small window within which to raise funds for the main task. st. nicholas isnt cheap so we need to make haste with the main fund raising. whats the plan for this. we need a detailed focused action plan.

@OP i am deeply move by this.. God will help you surely and HE will heal pretty soon

but please someone or the OP should try contact one of the media house. like Guardian or Punch.. someone out there might be able to help with tangible fund.

same with did for my friends son who needed heart suggery in indian.. less than a week we got a donor who paid the total amount required which of cos was over 2million Naira.

what ever i can i will do as well...
This is Brilliant #TEAMC_please take note, I think media houses like AIT,Channels and even MITV shouldn't be left out, am pretty sure if we able to get this case aired on any TV station, we may successfully have the buy-in/ "sponsorship" of the LASG - Lagos state Government or even BRF himself.

God speed

All, St. Nicholas is my family hospital so I was able to get the information quickly which I am passing down thus-

1. Yes, they do dialysis and the cost of each session is about N30/35k

2. They do kidney transplant but not liver transplant. They also don't think there is any hospital that does liver transplant in Nigeria.

3. Yes they have spaces and there is a Dr on ground but he closes by 3-4pm so he will see Hamed if we can move him there before that time, if not the Dr will see him very early tomorrow morning.

4. They don't have donors for kidney transplant even though they do the operation regularly. The patient has to come with some family member who will be tested for a match before its done.

5. Yes, they have ambulances but their ambulance may be unwilling to go to that location so I advise we move him ourselves asap.

6. I have the Dr's name so the team can let me know who to send the name to.

Thanks all. Sorry I jumped the gun, just felt this information are what I can get easily without any bureaucracy.
Good One

Summary and update so far

I feel compelled to let the posters who have invested time and money and emotions and still investing to know the situation of things
I apologize on the behalf of those who went to see DJ if anyone feels they didn't report accordingly, this is very sensitive but at the same time you deserve to know.

The true picture is that DJ needs more specialized care than the hospital he is at can offer him
His liver is bad and sadly it has also affected his kidneys
Transplant is inevitable and now we have two failing organs
The care after transplant is not easy,it is long and extensive
Most importantly money is needed desperately to make this happen
Lots of money
I am therefore appealing to us all to give
Ask your mother father, godfather, politician friends, banker friends and business friends to give generously
To the politicians reading, please help save the life of this young man
The people reading here are the voters
Any politician that makes this happen for us,we will let everyone hear of this good gesture.

DJ needs us now more than ever
Kudos to all teams involved, NLers and even those observing because i know your prayers can still move mountains.

@Teams!!Please kindly confirm

1. is the account number still same as the one on page 1 and page 2 of this issue?

2. Can djoola take phone calls?

Speedy response would be highly appreciated.

Thank you
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Already Frustrated With My New Job by DarkFive: 9:52pm On Nov 07, 2014
Simple situation!!
All you need is wisdom and Perseverance.
Wisdom - is to bring your head low, and find out the skill set of engineers there, cuz engineering degree is not enough for you to land on a plumb engr role.
So identify the needed certifications that puts them ahead such as PDMS, HYSYS, FLARENET, AUTOCAD, SQL, ORACLE etc. And ensure u give yourself timelines to achieve them.

Internal Vacancies would definitely turn up, after the long wait you may end up being most qualified for the job, that is Perseverance.

So endure my Brother, sometimes God might just be preparing you a bigger blessing ahead of you, so wipe the tears, throw away your pride and start enjoying the work you do and the company you work for.

This is the only way to succeed.

Cheers

Nigerian Military launches attacks to reclaim Gwoza from Boko Haram

A military operation is underway to reclaim Gwoza, Borno State from Boko Haram, a week after the sect proclaimed the district an Islamic Caliphate.

Five of the 27 policemen who went missing during the Boko Haram seizure of the town and the attack on the Nigeria Mobile Police Academy in Gwoza, have rejoined their units unhurt, it was learnt yesterday.

Expected to be liberated immediately from the terrorists are Gwoza and 14 surrounding villages.
The terrorists are understood to have blocked access roads to the town prompting the troops to launch what a security source described as “fierce attacks.”

“Some active military operations are ongoing but we will not talk until we have regained the town and other villages,” the source said yesterday

“All I can tell you is that Nigerian troops are capable. They did it in Congo, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Sudan, and other places. There is no basis for not dealing with the insurgents at home.
“We have launched fierce attacks both on land and in the air. We are prepared to reclaim Gwoza from the insurgents who have become tired of Sambisa Forest because the terrain has become marshy.”
Responding to a question, the source added: “Troops would have taken over Gwoza by now but the operation is tactical because we are sticking to the rules of engagement.

“We have discovered that the insurgents have been using most of their captives as human shield in launching attacks on troops and invasion of villages. But their antics cannot last.”

It was also gathered yesterday that five of the 27 policemen who went missing from the Nigeria Mobile Police Academy during the Boko Haram invasion of Gwoza have returned safely to their units.
The Police hierarchy was hopeful yesterday that the remaining 22 police trainees would rejoin their formations soon.

A source familiar with the development said: “Following the invasion of the Academy by the insurgents, some of the mobile policemen ran into the bush and they have been trying to find their path in the last few days.

“Do not forget that some of them are not used to the Gwoza terrain because they are not from the area. They also have to navigate their ways in such a manner that they will not fall victims of Boko Haram.
“Most often, those who survived Boko Haram attacks have been linking up with their different units through Adamawa State.”

When contacted, the Force Public Relations Officer, CP Emmanuel Ojukwu, said: “Five of the policemen have returned safely to their stations. Some may have gone back but yet to officially report.
“Let me assure you that we will recover the Academy in Gwoza from the insurgents, we are not giving in at all.”
