How Jumia Nigeria Defrauds Its Customers by Nobody: 3:29pm On Feb 01, 2015
I placed an order for an Innjoo Tablet T1 on the 19th of December 2014 with order number 308677966 from Jumia Nigeria and the sum of 16,999 naira was debited fron my bank account because i paid for the product online through Jumia's online transaction platform and with my Zenith Bank Naira Master Card. An hour later i got a confirmation email for a failed order and after placing several calls and sending several emails for over 4weeks, Jumia Nigeria keeps giving me the same perfectly reharsed speech of "kindly excercise patience with us while we resolve this as soon as possible", "We appreciate your patience and understanding", "you will be notified on the next line of action", with their calls and emails. Till today i haven't been refunded and neither have i even been given an update concerning the issue.

my account gets debited but transaction fails...I go to the bank with the email and they return the funds to my account.

Sorry about the inconvenience dumo1,

did you receive a call for order confirmation?

Have you contacted your bank?

I would suggest that you patronize a Jumia sales agent in subsequent times, we have a way to fast-track orders.

It annoys me when I see things like this, order then pay on delivery after inspection of the product, end of story.

I have been using jumia for a while now and they seem to be different from what people say about them online. I do pay on delivery and i am always surprised to get my item the next day from their dispatch.

Yes i have contacted my bank and i am still waiting for their reply. But the fault is on your end not the bank. The bank did their job of sending me the debit alert of the transaction your company made from my account. After several calls and emails. Same story. Not even a single update email to show the seriousness of how far your company went in resolving the issue. I really am dissapointed.

Sir, we cannot be too sure, the order wasn't even confirmed at our end, if it was, and we couldn't process your item, you would have received a voucher. In this case, the order wasn't even confirmed. There should have been an automatic cash reversal by your bank, but most banks don't function that way.
Please consult your bank.
