I understand what you are trying to say. Where I disagree with you is the total disregard you seem to show to the fact that you are addressing an audience made up of people from another country with a different culture. As johndoe said, in parts of this country wife beating is legal. You need to take our sensitivities into consideration and tone down the volume.

I personally don't agree with wife beating, but I find the idea of foreigners lecturing us as if they are colonial masters, speaking to the natives even more disagreeable.

It pays to learn the ways of the people you are talking to and then pointing out why you disagree. Telling us that we are moronic savages is really not the way to be taken seriously.

You did not tell us if you loved your wife? If you do then you have to help her through this, if you hooked up with her to get to the US, then you can encourage her not to take her medications and when her behaviour gets to bad have her committed. That way you keep the property and can get an undamaged woman.Even if they do not commit her permanently she can still spend most of her time in a mental hospital. To start life with such a liability is not to be considered, Afterall you did not cause her madness. Admit you made a mistake and move on.
