ECOWAS = Economic Community Of West African States.

Which part of West Africa do Arabs belong? Would they allow Nigeria to join the Arab League? No, of course not, they need to stay on the edge of North Africa where they belong.

ohh my...keep your christian crusade bullshit to yourself......

that's very true from a realistic perspective. Morocco is friend to Senegal and some other militarily strong ecowas state, letting them into ECOWAS would be like creating a bloc within a bloc. although I know Nigeria would let them in for Economic reason even when we know that the Moroccans just need us not to raise our hands during any vote for Saharawi statehood like we did with Palestine. Morocco in ECOWAS would "greatly" reduce Nigeria' military influence in the bloc.

morocco have never show faithfulness or respect for regional framework, she chiefly use them to achieve her goals and abandon them, that is why you see Morocco and Algeria having strained relationship even within the ARAB MAGHREB UNION, the question Nigerian leaders should be asking now should be? what if we cannot support Morocco' interest while in ecowas would that spell the end of ecowas because nations like Morocco her known to destroy regional frameworks by creating diverse blocs. anybody know anything about the Monrovia bloc or the casablanca bloc? during the PRE- OAU formation days.

and??...are we toghether with ecowas or is nigeria alone in ecowas..??..

are you stvpid or just wilfuly dense??...

are you even black sef..??..

i shouldnt be arguing something like this with a black man...

Was it not the state and local government authorities that allowed Boko Haram to grow? Boko Haram claim that they were disenfranchised and disillusioned by secular government and sought to do away with secular government have their region run in the Islamic fashion - how can that be the fault with GEJ when they started before he came to be president?

it was jonathans job to see to it that every nigerian is safe..was he the boss over governors or the governors the boss over him

jonathan failed and history testifies over that...

You really believe MTN that prepaid bullshit. If that was workable, their base stations won't be burning diesel 12-18 hours a day.

Coal power is really what a developing country like ours needs. Even China still largely depends on coal and we're busy deceiving ourselves with environmental protocols. A country the size of ours should produce 50000MW and we're struggling with 3000MW

yea..we should start little by little...

but with only coal plants we will have immediatly 20000+ megawatt...

enough time to give energie entrepeneurs to build more cleaner power plants...

this is how china did it..
and you sef are saying the chinese are still largely dependent on coal...you see?

but ofcourse the western morons will kick against it..

thats why i say we should leave uno,icc and whatever..

forget pan africana too..
only care about ya own sef...

nigerians!..

if you produce enough energie the igbos will go overdrive on productions..selling drugs abroad and petty crimes will disappear...

win win business...

I didn't call anyone a criminal o. Read through my initial post again.

Yea, there's a way out of it if we fix our refineries and make the imported one available in the mean time. Everything depends on power. So unless we solve the power problem illegal refineries will continue to flourish.

Whenever I hear the army or Navy burn an illegal refinery I laugh cos even them are part of the problem. The Navy in the creeks collect huge bribes from these refinery operators to permit their operations in the first place, and only turn back on them when monetary agreements aren't met.

refineries..

the europeans started small small too..

they didnt discover crude oil as energie source and started building refineries immediately...

power plants:
i would have built coal plants in each states..
its messy i know..
but it will give local entrepeneurs enough time to build more cleaner plants..

this is how china did it...

forget mtn with their prepaid solar rubbish..
south africans are rubbish people..

Northerners and born to rule mentality was one of the prominent reasons jonathan lost .

second is betrayal

one question for them is what has Nigeria gained as an entity since the north has been ruling?

What has the northerners gained since all the years they have been leading the nation?

many of the northern elites are just greedy fellows that is why most of them betrayed their party before the elections and decamped to APC .

they preferred a dying northerner to be president just for their selfish reasons and now we are stuck PDP which they want to reclaim through the back door with sheriff is also stocked.

He who holds someone and refuses to let him go is also held to the ground

the north dont have born to rule mentality...
forget what you know and try to talk with them...

jealousy is a normal human behavior..

northerners dont realy care who is president..
i talk with them daily...they never talked down on me before..

but if you allow boko to conquer half of their land and you still abuse them,i wouldnt trust you anymore too..

You cannot expect to rule the country for ever.

Even if PDP had fielded a northern candidate, it doesn't mean he wouldn't have lost.

Just try and field credible candidates next time who know what responsibility towards Nigerians are.

Nigerians are getting wiser, and the era of getting into power, and not performing is gradually coming to an end.

If you don't perform, they vote you out.

I know we will get it right someday, and people will stop attaching sentiments to voting in candidates, regardless of tribe and religious affiliations.

Its really annoying when people vote just on the basis of tribe or religion. Your tribesman in power doesn't automatically guarantee he will favor you.

Youths need to start thinking, I wish all the governors in the north will prioritise formal education, a must for every child both primary and secondary. Establish more different sex schools for those that don't like same sex schools. Allow them broaden their minds so they can easily decipher who's going to be a better candidate from track records.

yea..i already hated fee dee fee enough..

but them fielding jonathan again was a giant insult...

Jonathan has never been a smart man, and not just that, he also had this huge inferiority complex to deal with. The likes of DAM, NOI, Clerk, etc intimidated and bullied him into taking decisions he would otherwise have relied on his basic intellect to take.

The very first false move he made was contesting in 2011. Regardless, he had the chance to right his wrong in 2015 only to bungle it like a blind amputee in a bobsled.

I dont see the useless enterprise ever recovering from their current state of coma.

Easier said than done. The truth is the country can't keep up with the local demand for petroleum products especially diesel. Many banks, telecom coys and and business buy this locally refined because the standard one is simply unavailable or extremely scarce!

Sadly, if all these illegal refineries close many big cooperations will be in bigger shit! They are not the problem; they're a symptom of the problem.

biafra produced diesel...

So far, this is the best natural solution to militancy in the Niger Delta. Government should help them fund such modular refineries across the creeks and have them buy crude legally and pay taxes. If managed well, the federal government can actually begin making money from the militants.

Well, for the naysayers, this is the best approach to this problem. If followed with ordinary common sense, it will lead to a lot of betterment for the local operators of the modular refineries as well as the common man as it will ultimately help to beat down the cost of products obtained through refining crude. Secondly, and equally important, it will lead to the bloom of a new national industrial cashcow - production and refining of refined products.

The challenges of safety and pollution? They are not new problems. There are existing solutions that can be bought and our engineers can also learn to innovate to make them even better.

Foreign media complaints? Let them have a "complaint party" and knock themselves out. Wetin consign Agbero with overload?

Osinbajo, push that idea and folllow it to a logical conclusion and see how fast the Naira rises and economy gets better.

yea..
