CSTR13: Tinubu and your afonja warlords may be the ones on the receiving side of things. Giving the playing political scenario out there and the political re-allignment , By the time buhari finishes incapacitating any damn yoruba leader with an opinion by 2019, any afonja revolt will be met with a bullet from your army. And the best thing is that, the rest of the country will look the other way, just like we did when MKO , kudirat abiola and other afonja idiotts got their recompense.
datribune: How difficult is it 4 d Federal govt to realize dat it is better to collect smaller import/custom duty but make it up thru larger import quantity than to lose most of it to Benin republic who ar smart enough to keep their duty low & get high patronage frm Nigerians. Govt needs to be smart & cut Benin republic out of business. If Nigeria keeps d duty as it is, no law will stop importation, legal or smuggled thru Cotonou.
we dont want okrika moto no more...
anybody that can not afford a reasonable car will be forced to use keke!!..
finish dumping the defect products of europe in africa...
we need a ministry for street matters..
take out any cars from the nigerian streets that are defects from europe...
plaetton: I don't know from.what angle you have read my.posts here. Let me put it in another way.
The economy, demand and supply, the market place, commerce does not yield to brooms and sticks. It yields to good , consistent policy. Water must find it's level. Same with money, capital and commerce. Command and control doesn't work. It has never worked,. Not for America, not for Europe, not for any Asian economy.
Streamline the ports, and customs for efficient service delivery at reasonable costs, and VIOLA! You attract both domestic and foreign user. Simple.
This present measure will only create many more multi millionaires and billionaires in the customs and border agencies. You know this to be fact.
plaetton: Sorry, but you know, if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it is most likely a duck.
In my life experience, I have found that people who are quick to dish out general insults at Igbos, in fact, any tribe for that matter, are usually people who have insecure, deep unresolved psychological self-identity issues .
So, you have better do some introspection, to zero in on the root causes of your Igbophobia. I am quite certain that no Igbo schoolyard bully had ever taken your lunch from you.
happney65: When those of us that knew our History shouted to the high heavens about this Man.We where called all times of unprintable names..Now it is happening..Abegi is Nigeria producing cars in Large quantities?I mean which kain thing be this..Am Planning to buy a Car now this Man would just make the price of everything to go up..I Know Buhari is a Foolish Man,But never knew he is as Foolish as this..Habaaaa...This is the worst regime since 1999...o ma see ohh... omolola15 ohh yeah zoombie for life
migrate to europe...they have enough okrika their..
you both belong toghether...surely not naijeria...
Johnnyessence: I will always repeat myself here again and again, if pmb Bleep up till 2019 elections, the same set of the masses that vote him in last year will vote him out again in 2019 presidential election. My advice for him and his excos is to hit the ground running and do the needful. 2016 is almost gone. Inflation rate is at 20 percent increase. Not good for the masses. My prayer is that famine should not occur in 2017.
una dont get it..
even if its armaggedon in 2019...
we will still vote buhari!!!..
and if things get resly that bad in 2019.. we will.bend the constitution a bit and vote him president for life!!!...
ibrahimbashir99: Please clap for yourself... Odeh. Only daft people like you bribe customs instead of paying your duty the right way. Well as for me, you have a choice of moving to ghana or that cotonu while we build our economy ourselves. Or don't you even think of the dangers of smuggling? and please don't come back to say our Nigeria because the thunder that will fire you is called ancestral thunder!
they way they like the black market..
they named it something nice called parallel..
thunda go smother t.....
we will use the nigerian constitution to slap the living the light out if them..
Spoken like the lazy , cowardly, sissy fool that I actually think you might be. You are not ashamed to compare yourself, your manhood to a woman. Why not compare your pathetic axx to an Igbo man, a real man ? Sissy
plaetton: Thanks once again for exposing your cattle brain here in public. I am always shocked to see how some people think in very narrow terms. The fact that importers are willing to pay duty twice tells you, no, is yelling at you, and underscores the rottenness of our port system. That is the market forces talking to you, yelling at you. But of course, you have permanent ear infection, so you just cannot get the message. Unfortunately, fools like you litter the administrative landscape of this potentially great nation, littering it with your cow dung policies.
cattle brain ...you igbos know how to rain insults..walahi..
Agunechibeya: This is the type of comments that makes me pity PMB. A man who set out to free enslaved people who prefer to remain slaves. Nigerians dutifully pay for import duties in other countries but evades duties in their own country. Chai... Sentimental fools
pity ya self...he have a army that respect him..his enemies fear him..boko is gangsters...
The favorite song song of personally insecure, lazy fools.
To educate your daft little mind a bit, the only person who can be described as being too greedy are lazy, mentally indolent fools who want to reep without sowing, or forcefully taking what beieslongs to others. Igbos don't fit into either categories. But I am sure you do.
my igbo woman always call me lazy...
but how come i always have more money than her??..
that she always return to ask for more...
your mentality will not help you.
we are nigerians..survive or perish!...remember??.. .
plaetton: If you had any sense, you would know or would have been able to discern that the corruption, the gross inefficiency, the outrageous cost in time and money to clear goods at the ports is the number reason that people turn to smuggling goods through alternative means.
then stop it..we dont want your okrikas no more..
you are turning africa to the waste-dustbin of the western world..
a italian once told me,the biggest industry in the world is waste..i didnt understood..i tut it was weapons....but are weapons not waste too at the end...interesting..
diyaware: people that are surviving on the importation are of good number especially the drivers who will have no option than to take arms and join the yaran mallam the BH faithfuls. so to me is not the best option at this critical time
ephi123: Thank you. These are the sensible logical questions that people should be asking rather than giving a blanket defence of "it will help local production".
Local production in a country where constant electricity is still a struggle What a joke.
buy local or get lost..
the russians practice it..the chinese practice it... why shouldnt we practive it too??
who gives you the right what the fg does or not??..
didnt we elected them .??..
we will patronize local businesses by force!!!... welcome to the miltary strict democracy ....
puritygen: Politics 2019 Presidency: Buhari's Re- election May Break Nigeria Up- Junaid Mohammed Discussion in 'Political News' started by Lequte, Dec 5, 2016 at 6:29 PM. Views count: 14 Tags: junaid mohammed muhammadu buhari naija news Dr. Junaid Mohammed has warned President Muhammadu Buhari not to run for President in 2019. According to him, if Buhari insists on running for re-election he could precipitate a crisis that could hasten the break-up of the country. “Although I have not heard of plans to replace him and field another northerner in 2019, I will not be surprised if this happens," he said according to The Whistler. “President Buhari has been a monumental failure and the north shouldn’t support him in 2019 if it wants to retain power. Anti-corruption has always been the hallmark of northerners in government, but this government is the most corrupt in the history of Nigeria. “All northern leaders, from Tarka to Aminu Kano and Sardauna, are not nepotistic, but the Buhari administration is the most nepotistic that has ever been since independence. “So, the north is justified culturally, politically and morally to replace Buhari in 2019 if it chooses to do so. "The north has been categorical when it wants power, it also didn’t hesitate when to let it go. And when it wanted it back, it said so categorically. Now, it must show clearly that it wants to retain power by replacing Buhari. “If Buhari decides to contest in 2019, he will be defeated, except if he rigs the election and there will be violence which may lead to the break-up of Nigeria." http://ow.ly/gMNi306PykU
