PoliticsRe: IPOB: Some Of The Soldiers That Joined Kanu's ESN Are Government Spies by DARKVOICES(op): 5:01pm On Mar 24, 2021
jimyjames:
I asked simple questions, wear are their weapons? They came empty handed dressed in civilian wears to attack army?
after4:
First, the source you quote never said they were ESN. Secondly the ESN we know wear uniforms and stay in the bush and not street. So how did you know they were ESN. This nonsense rumor wey dem pay unah to dey carry so, e go shock unah
@the emboldened, so because the soldiers didn't provide you with detailed information and pictures automatically makes the report false?

What stops the soldiers from displaying their own (the soldiers') weapons and claim they (the weapons) belong to the slain ESN operatives?

"Dressed in civilian wears" doesn't make any sense. There's no rule compelling criminals to dress in a certain way before attacking people.

jimyjames:
These are innocent people, look at their dress, normal day to day wears, ESN can not go to battle dressed like that, plus where are their weapons ? They came empty handed to fight soldiers?
secretkiller:
These are innocent civilians, ESN are always on their uniforms.
Continue deceiving yourselves.

Few months ago, we learnt that some soldiers resigned to join Nnamdi Kanu's Eastern Security Network. Well, it looks like some government spies were among the soldiers that joined. ESN has been infiltrated..

Sources told Vanguard that before the gunmen arrived the area; the soldiers had gathered intelligence and laid in wait for them.

PoliticsTraditional Worshippers Demand Stoppage Of Reps Hijab Bill by DARKVOICES(op): 1:03pm On Mar 24, 2021
The global head of Ifa priests, otherwise called the Araba Agbaye, Chief Owolabi Aworeni, on Tuesday cautioned the Kwara State Governor, Abdualrahman Abdulrazaq, against actions that might incite violence in the state.

Also, Aworeni urged the House of Representatives to halt a bill which sought to institutionalise the use of hijab in the country.

The issue of hijab has spurred heated reactions in Kwara State with Christian mission schools shut down in resistance against the move by the state government to enforce the use of hijab by Muslim students in the schools.

However, the Araba, represented by his deputy, the Araba Oluisese of Ibadan, Ifalere Odegbola, in an interview with journalists in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Tuesday, said, “We are appealing to the Governor of Kwara State to caution against steps that are capable of turning Kwara State and the entire country into crises.

“Peace will reign supreme if religions generally are given pride of place. Let the Christian schools be, same for Muslim schools and schools for the traditional worshippers, without any religion lording it over the other.

“A traditional worshipper who decides to attend Christian school should imbibe the Christian practices and principles and ditto for a Christian child who chooses to attend a Muslim school. If he decides to attend the school, he has to abide by the practices.

“It is wrong for a child who belongs to another faith to want to force his way through. The governor should desist from acts that can incite violence or civil disorderliness. Academics should not continue to get interrupted as we have it at the moment.

“In the same vein, we are appealing to the National Assembly to drop the issue of use of hijab; we are warning that religious intolerance should not be allowed to polarise us as a people. Nigeria as a secular nation should be receptive to all religions and people should be free to practice their own faith without any interference.”

PoliticsNiger Delta Not Part Of Biafra, Oduduwa Agitations – Group by DARKVOICES(op): 12:53pm On Mar 24, 2021
The United Niger Delta Energy Development Security Strategy (UNDEDSS) says no individual or group should compel the region to be part of Biafra, Oodua, or any group outside of Nigeria.

Mr Tony Uranta, UNDEDSS Executive Secretary, in a statement on Wednesday in Lagos said that the Niger-Delta had not taken position on the ongoing agitations by various emancipation groups.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that there have been agitations from individuals and groups clamouring for secession from Nigeria.

“In pursuant of the Niger Delta’s position during last night’s raucous nationwide virtual meeting of emancipation groups and other relevant delegates, UNDEDSS, hereby declares that.

“No one individual or group can claim to be speaking for the six states that made up the South South and in any way compel the region to be part of Biafra, Oodua or any other group outside of Nigeria.

“Only PANDEF, led by Chief Edwin Clark, can call for an extraordinary meeting at which such a weighty decision can be taken, if at all.

“We reiterate, going forward that any map that deem to drag Niger Delta water and land into anything other than Nigeria, shall be deemed to be intentionally auctioned against the Niger Delta, until an extraordinary meeting of PANDEF declares otherwise,’’ Uranta said.

He said that when necessary, the Niger Delta would be free to decide if it wanted to continue to be part of Nigeria or not, and the whole world would know of its decision.

He urged the National Assembly to discontinue work on the Water Resources Amendment Bill; describing it as an attempt to steal the Niger Delta’s ancestral land and water.

The executive secretary urged the Federal Government to convene a National Security Round-table before the end of March to address security, foods and other challenges facing the country.

He said that such meeting would help to prevent experiences like that of Somalia and Libya in Nigeria.

PoliticsFulani Leader Assassinated In Kaduna By Bandits by DARKVOICES(op): 9:53am On Mar 23, 2021
Bandits have assassinated a Fulani community leader in Doka general area of Kajuru local government, Lawal Musa, popularly known as Maijama’a, on Sunday night.

The state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who disclosed this in a statement on Monday, said the incident was reported to the state government by security agencies on Sunday.

According to him, the deceased was a Fulani community leader in the Doka general area of Kajuru LGA who worked closely with with other community leaders towards the success of peace building efforts in the area.

The statement said: “Alhaji Lawal Musa was brutally killed by armed bandits in his settlement, right before his family.

“He was on a motorcycle with his elder brother Alhaji Gide Musa when some assailants opened fire on them.

“Alhaji Gide Musa escaped with gunshot injuries, while the gunmen got hold of Alhaji Maijama’a and hacked him to death.

“He has since been buried according to Islamic rites. His brother is recuperating in an undisclosed hospital.

“Alhaji Lawal Musa’s contributions were instrumental towards the re-opening of the Doka weekly Market, peaceful resumption of activities at abandoned places of worship and resumption of grazing and farming in the Doka general area.

“Governor Nasir El-Rufai expressed sadness at the report of the assassination, and hailed the deceased as an exemplary leader and a champion of peaceful coexistence.

“He prayed for the repose of Alhaji Lawal Musa’s soul, and sent his condolences to his family.

“The Governor also wished the brother of the deceased, Alhaji Gide Musa, a speedy recovery,” the statement noted.
