PH Bridge clinic was too gloomy for me, plus the day i went there...all the nurses were frowning(maybe they were tired); the place was smelling FUNNY Abeg IVF/Infertility is a sensitive matter, i can't stand any form of negative energy. Only the Dr was shining her teeth at me(maybe cos I'm like fresh meat). i took their quote and left

I havent checked out any other IVF clinic in PH.

If you have accommodation in Lagos, i'd advice you check the very good ones there. Nothing like management in IVF matter,its your hard earned money...nonchalance is a NO, Bridge PH are there feeling funky on past glory.

don't know about the others, but I won't recommend bridge clinic, I fink they are just over hyped, n also just about the money, to me there staff are well trained n friendly, buh that's during d course of the treatment, buh, once you come out with a negative pregnancy test, the avoid you like a plaque, they don't call you afterwards, to find out how ur doing after a failed cycle, had to book 3 times just to do a review of my failed cycle, and I didn't get to see a doctor those 3times, Id spend hours der just to see a doctor, and at the end of the day I won't get to see any doctor, cos his either busy in the theatre, or attending to new customers, after a year I got to see a doctor, that cos dey thought I wanted to do another cycle with dem, immediately I got to see d doctor we discussed briefly about d failed cycle, dem gave me a bill for another cycle, asked me to repeat my test and booked me for the following month. N dey kept calling to remind me of my appointment for the new cycle. Which dey didn't do any follow up after d failed cycle. Dats y I feel dey r all about d money, dey don't care about there patients emotions after a failed cycle. Me i can't cycle with dem again, cos der charges is very expensive, struggled to pay outta my nose. For now I'm waiting on God for a miracle, and I knw he will surely do it.

Please don't feel bad at all and above all be there for your Hubby. Men tend to feel bruised when the solution is donor sperm (even though most women don't mind using donor eggs). Its not the end of the world and peace at your home is key.

I also agree with you on Dr Emeka, he's very good. Also he can perform biopsy on your hubby if you both insist...to check if he can retrieve any sperm then he'd proceed to do ICSI. If he doesn't find, he would just proceed with the donor sperm. Plus or minus, the process would cost 2mil. You may have change left but its better to have excess.

You're right!

Cyclogest alone could not have helped. The hospital was to give you cyclogest, pregnacare conception, baby aspirin, coq10, prednisolone, vic d3 and some others. Basically anything that can help because after transfer the truth is ONLY GOD CAN KEEP THE BABY. So they should have done their part properly. thats all.

Depending on your budget and location. if you are in Lag, you can check Dr Emeka at Olive Branch clinic. He's good but remember say this our journey is totally based on God. I pray you both receive the finance needed and i pray for BFP!!! Much love

hello fruitful mumies in the house ,i posted sometime ago about being a surrogate for my sis,so heres how it went the transfer was done about 3 weeks ago during tbe transfer while cleaning my womb thats the word he used he scraped my womb alittle so there was a little nleeding that day i noticed i staryed spotting the next day which was 2 dpt we gave them a call and they said theres nithibg they could do meanwhile after tranfer the only drug i was given was cyclogest and nothing else they told me to buy folic acid so i kept spotting till it became heavy we went for the test and it came out negetive and all they could say was that they dont know what happend and said they would reduce the next cycle for us to pay 700k it seem all their after was tbe money , some one that had the ivf else where said she was given progesteron injection as well as baby asprin and prenatal vitamins and she got a bfp we honestly dont know what went wrong has any one experienced this before

Remember that it is better to be alive for where there is life, there is hope.
The TTC journey is frankly very stressful and DHs can react differently...however i think both of you need to talk,heart to heart. Reading your post mehnnn...i almost cried. May God bless you speedily

Pls all, I truly need help. Yes I told hubby Thursday nite and he said we'll need counsel from someone. Throughout yestday, we were both busy. Today everything was going fine, I had been praying all thru.. He called me a hour ago and dropped the bomb. That he had never been in support of ivf from the scratch, but considered it cos of persuasion. That the much he can take from it is what we've done so far. He can't go beyond dat by having to use a donor egg. That it would ve been a simple thing for him to have just pregnated someone else but dat he won't do becos he's married to me. He said so many other things and asked if I had something to say. But becos of so much grief and sorrow, with tears already running down my cheeks, I couldn't say a word. Now am in so much pain. I Dont know what to do. How I'll continue to live is Wat I can't say. I used 2 yrs to save the money 4 dis just for it to turn out this way. One thing dat kept hope alive for me all this while is the joy of believing it will end this year. Now am devastated. Nothing will ever make sense. Where do I start from? Where do I go from here. I need help. Let someone give me one more reason why I should Live. Pls I need help

Hi dear, well i think you can wait the 6months and afterwards explore other options. Its better early when egg quality is still in top form but ultimately whatever you decide. God help us all.

Hello everyone, pls am new on this thread. Got married 2014 and have been TTCsince then. Diagnosed of PCOs though I ovulate and menstruate. My doc once placed me on femera and was given Hcg shot 5000iu but didn't get a bfp. I even asked him the way forward he said we can't explore other options until its up to 6months of tracking my follicle and besides am young. Will be 29yrs this year. He asked if I wanted to explore other options, my reply was I don't mind as am my mother's only child everyone is really tensed. Please experience mom do u think its too early to explore other options? I thot its better when one is younger? Sorry for my long post. Thanks a lot.

Hi dear, i think the doctor should be able to estimate the cost of the drugs for you. insist on knowing all the costs, this will help you know what to budget to prevent financial surprises coming up in the midst of the treatment procedure. Also be sure to check the internet for reviews on his clinic.

gud evening mamas, amarapearl, i was at noble specialist hospital today, we spoke to the doctor and i think i will just use him, he seem to know his job well and he is quite friendly, he gave us a price, he said 750k, but he said after planting, we will buy our drugs for the next 3 months. the thing is, we dont know how expensive those drugs will be. any input pls?

Hi, dear!!! Welcome to this forum, wish you a short stay. Concerning IVF, i'd advice you get to meet with the doctor first for consultation, get a feel of the hospital and the aura cos this journey is very sensitive. Then be sure to get a proper cost breakdown.. NO HIDDEN CHARGES!! This way you can plan properly. Also, don't be afraid to ask questions so you are aware of the different stages involved.

How much is Gynaescope? Did you check Save a Life hospital?

I'm looking to finally start the IVF process in January(work load from now till Dec is too much). I have some hospitals in mind( Nordica Asaba, The Bridge clinic Port Harcourt, Olive branch Lagos, Georges Memorial Lagos and Save a Life, Port Harcourt)

Please i'd like anyone that has used these hospitals RECENTLY or is still using them..to please give me a review(their professionalism, followup , success rates).

Pele sis, that HSG hmnnnn, it well. Since your test came back ok, was wondering if TESE could be done with IUI, before trying for IVF. I dont really know, maybe sabi mamas can torchlight this or you cld ask your gynea. Whichever is the best approach, be encouraged to go for it

@Ayashow, its well, your lamentation brought tears to my eyes, i will suggest you stop the fasting and self pity and rejoice instead, God answers the state of our heart more than religious rituals and most times when you want to handle things by yourself the devil comes in to frustrate you more...relax and let God fight for you.....Also i dont think a bfp is what you need most for now, first you need to put things in order so that when your baby comes, he or she will be well taken care of, get a job or a business that can help you earn an income..when your mind is focused on something else, everything will start working out for your good.

Hi dear, we're still awaiting the result from the urologist. I've started preparing my mind for ivf because I've been doing a lot of research on it. I'm even following the ivf thread here on NL to get information. It can be hurtful to a man's ego when they get this kind of report, so its important for you not to show too much worry/concern towards him cause he might start feeling down. Same with DH.. ours is obstructive azoospermia resulting from testicular torsion. i think both of you should go to a urologist for further investigation as to his root cause. best wishes dear

Hi able mamas. Just discovered this forum and was very excited. Kindly advice: DH recently went for semen analysis and the result from two different labs says 0 million sperm count, 0% motility, 0% active, 0% sluggish infact everything was captured as zero. Please i am depressed what can be the solution to this as the doctor we met says he has no single sperm. How is it possible that a man has no sperm in his semen?

Where do I start dis from.I have no one to talk to and it feels like God has refused to hear my cries.

After a week of vomiting and stooling only water every second with very painful stomach pains that I wldnt wish on my enemy.I was rushed to the clinic...diagnosed of ULCER.to say I was shocked is an understatement.I never imagined I would have it.

Why I'm so sad is because too much fasting led to it.d nite the pain started I had just broken my fast.I weep so much as I type this,fasting and prayer has always been the only weapon that I have ever known to solve every problem or so i think....
Whenever something bothers me I fast and pray.

I have fasted and prayed a lot for God to bless me with a child but instead I had ulcer.the pain is so unbearable at nite....It all just makes me so sad and i feel betrayed.

Despite my fasting and prayers I suffer a lot,it's hard to feed dat I don't feel hunger anymore ,I have only one slippers,all my clothes are worn out,when I go out I have to walk some miles home because of transport fare.and the most painful of it all no child almost 5 years of ttc.despite that fact, i dont even have moni to treat the problems causing my infertility.then now another illness which is eating the little moni hubby kept.I rily pity hubby.he's trying so hard for us and nothing is just not working.just yesterday he had a little accident with his boss car and hit the bumper of the car in front of him and d owner refused to hear our pleas.he said dh must repair his car.

Hmm,I'm tired of everything,where do we get 30k from to repair car when we can barely feed.ha ! Also is there another besides ivf?

Yes 10k.depends on your bargaining power.last year I know people that paid above 2 million for sex selection and some paid 1.6k for icsi. Handled by Indians so the reason for the hike. The flight cost,feeding and accommodation is built into the cost.may this year someone had quaduplet. And it was free . yeah through divine rememberance. It's done once every year around February.
