Poems For ReviewThere Is Jungle Out There by DaSaint2(op): 1:19pm On Jan 18, 2006
THERE IS A JUNGLE OUT THERE!
Beware, beware, there is a jungle out there
Not of trees and bushes
But of concrete and trusses.

A jungle filled not with beasts and killers,
But of humans who are cold blooded killers.
A jungle of mean streets and ghettos
Where people live with little or nothing, but filled with sorrows.

Beware, beware there is a jungle out there
Beware, beware the jungle is out to get you
This jungle swallows up your pride
Your human dignity and intergrity it devours like a dragon.

There is a concrete jungle out there
A jungle of tall buildings and roads, and cars
Greedy politicians and businessmen
Thieves, thugs, bullies and touts.

A jungle filled with lecherous beasts,
Humans as beasts, ready to devour you.
Slowly with much stealth, they stalk you,
Like a lion stalks its prey.

Beware!they just may be around the corner.
Human beasts that delight thenselves,
In the agony of a fellow human, they reap you off in every way possible,
In this concrete jungle, none is safe.

Beware, there is a jungle out there!
Beware for the jungle is out to get you!
Beware for the jungle can ensnare you!
Beware, beware there is a jungle out there!

Beware! In this jungle only few come out as victors
But many are vanquished
Beware, this system is the jungle
But be brave, for there is a way out.

Bewareof the concrete jungle
And all its allures and entrapments!
]Beware for easily you can be caught
Beware! beware there is a jungle out there!

Poems For ReviewOur World by DaSaint2(op): 11:53am On Jan 18, 2006
Hi everybody, I just thought I could share some of my poems with you all.

This one is about our life on earth, our relationship with our creator and our relationship with fellow humans, enjoy.

OUR WORLD
It is a clear nght sky I sit and gaze at the marvels of creation
The handiwork of a magnificent God
I look at the stars that fill the heavens
And I wonder!

I see people walk pass me,
in their different shapes, sizes and complexions,
They come from all walks of life.
All in a cultural mix;O what a perfect blend, Humans of a particular lineage,
I wonder!

The dawn comes ushering in a new day
Bringing in different strokes for different folks.
The sky so cloudy today,
Alas! here comes the rain.

Falling from the sky
Falling to drown all the dust of the day
To make our vegetations grow
Traveling with a rainbow.

Displaying a kaledoscope of radiant colours
A sign fom the Most High One
It stands out in the cloudy rainy sky,
Still I wonder!

I look and see beautiful green grasses,
Tall trees with great foilage,
Beautiful birds flying in the mid heavens
With ease and grace, contentment is their portion.

They fly and flutter singing a new song
A beautiful and sweet melody, so sweet and pure.
Butterflies flutter in their different hues,
They all leave me pondering,
Who made all these, truly I wonder!

Here comes the sunset, telling the night approches
Finally the night is here, the heavenly beauties spill out again
All in splendor
Again I wonder!

The moon, very small in our sight,
But yet larger than our earth,
The distant constellations and planets,
The galaxies and the milky way.

So wonderfull made,
So marvelous in our eyes,
Truly the works of a Great god
A Supreme king, and Eternal Father.
RomanceRe: Can A Guy and a Girl Just Be Friends? by DaSaint2(m): 4:14pm On Jan 17, 2006
Of course a Guy can be just friends with a girl, but you must understand something. Out here what crawls in every guys head is just SEX! If another guy say a friend sees you with a particular girl for too long a time, he starts to think that you've done it with the girl. And it takes a whole lot of time to make that friend of yours to understand that there is nothing between you two.

There are most things you cannot discuss with your guys, say on topics relating to matters of the heart, but with a girl it is much easier and she can give you helpful hints on how to go about making a fellow girl feel happy, but with a guy it is just one way, Screw her or let her go.

Having a girl for a friend is much easier and helpful, for me I relate more with girls than with guys. With guys all we ever talk about is just football, politics and the Almighty SEX. With girls, you get to explore the mind and heart. And there girls out there that can discuss spirts as much as guys can, so it is all in the mind, for me, hanging out with girls is much fun, but still I've got to hang with the guys for the all time beer fun.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Share Your Most Embarassing Moments by DaSaint2(m): 2:25pm On Jan 17, 2006
I would say my most embarrassing moment was some years ago. I was on my way to visit my girl when all of a sudden I felt the urgent need to take a pee, so I branched off a side street to pee only to have pure and unadultrated stool come out of my shorts, it was just running down my right leg, I couldn't come out of the side street talk more of walking home, but as fate would have it, a guy who came there to pee also saw me. looking at me and laughed but still helped. He gave me his Cardigan to use as a shield by tieing around my waist, so we walked to his place, I took my bath and stayed there till it was dark before I could leave his place, i never got to see my girl that day. I guess that is the most embarrassing moment in my entire life.
Music/RadioRe: Nigerian Actors & Actresses Who Now Sing by DaSaint2(m): 2:00pm On Jan 17, 2006
I am glad to know that finally there is a medium where people like us can now air our views on the shameful and demeaning acts put on video by our so called star actors and actresses. First let me start by saying our home video business is being run by people who are not professionals, and most of the actors are not trained in Theatre arts;they come in front of the camera with bad english and expect us to be happy about this. I can not blame them since most of the Movie directors are semi-illiterates themselves. On the issue of our actors and actresses being fake and copy cats, I will definately give them the thumbs up, they should by given Oscars for being fake. We have a large list of fake actors and actresses, they have now crossed their boundry into the land of music, copying a name from Hollywood is not enough, now every Tom, Dick and Harry in the home video business wants to be a musician, guys like Desmond Elliot should think about something else other than music, he can never in his wildest dreams step into the shoes of Lurther Vandros, 'cuz from his last music video he tried so hard to be like the Late Music Icon. Ramsey Nouah, that guy that once played the part of Andy Okeke in the home video, "LIVING IN BOINDAGE", should leave music and go sell some spare parts like his people are good at. Genievie should go back and take a lesson from Omotala. Her music video and songs all suck like hell, what was she thinking! But i give kudos to people like Nkem Owoh, Segun Arinze. Segun Arinze should work hard and come out with a hit like he did with his Moon Light Album some years ago. Omotala did a fine job on her debut album with songs like "GBA", you can just feel the rhythm and that track is a dance track for any kind of party. Tell the rest fake ass wanna be musicians to stick to what they do best, I am out of here.
