So I went to the Abeokuta office to submit my application (DIY), and I was told that my guarantor needs to be physically present, even though I've had my guarantor's form filled and stamped at the magistrate court.

I'm wondering if that is the usual process for DIYs.

They just want to frustrate you.

Paid 40k for paint and 25k for panel beater. I had already purchased new bumper, fender mud guard, engine splash guard and other things the panel beater needed.

The Painter and Panel beater did a good job.

Select Alausa. Once you have made payment & have all the required doc,proceed to the centre for submission/interview(in less than an hour you are done with this). After some days (5-7 working days or less) you will receive a text for capturing(you may have to spare the whole day for this). Passport should be ready between 6 to 8weeks after you must have captured.

You won't believe I just got a text from NIS now to proceed to Alausa centre for Capturing.

So myself and one other DIY person from Nairaland captured today, passport to be ready for pick up in August as stated on the slip(we hope so) . If you have time to spare and not in a hurry pls process the application yourself cos all these people you are paying 40k and above ain't doing anything special other than to open file and drop. Several people were lamenting today after paying more than the usual fee and still didn't get any special treatment from their agent.

Pls how long does it take to be called for capturing ...I did the first stage last week Monday at alausa ( submission of file)...I was told to wait for a text before coming for capturing but it seems it's taking long...

I did first stage since 16th of June and till now no text for capturing yet too. Have the plan of going there on Friday and try my luck sha
