I paid 20k just to facilitate things. Not funny bro... on top the 15k remitta... All because of international passport. 35k altogether.... In 10 working days it was corrected and rectified.. Lagos precisely..

I guess the extra 20k paid was because of express, ordinarily, it costs 15k.

If you want your NIN Date of Birth (DOB) correction to be expedited

First, after payment via Remita (N15,000), go for "re-capturing" at the NIMC office with:

1) letter application addressed to the Director NIMC requesting the change

2) Affidavit of correction of DOB

3) copy of NIN slip

4) Either: Nigerian passport, or voter's card, or drivers license, or first school leaving certificate (to confirm your DOB)

5) After "re-capturing" at the NIMC office, attach all the above you submitted and email to all of the following email addresses:

opsmod1@nimc.gov.ng

They usually respond within 4days -Good luck!

I did a change of Date of Birth in Federal Secretariat Phase 1 Abuja NIMC Office since 4th of May 2021. I had gone in July 2021 to check if the change have effected, the NIMC STAFF ask me to return next month.

I went today 13th of August, sadly the change hasn't been effected.
The staff ask me to repeat the entire process since I still have evident of payment via Remita.

Is three months not enough wait time for the change?

Should I reapply? So confused and depressed.

Please kindly advice!

Follow the information I provided above... And possibly include your tracking number. They'll advise if to go back to recapture/modification
